I had this location align my truck and balance my tires. When I picked up my truck, I noticed my steering wheel was off. I immediately called and let the sales advisor know, and told her I would be back to have it redone. It took me a month or so to get back, and I purchased a new set of tires, so I asked for them to be balanced again. The service writer was very kind and said, sure no problem," I will even ask the technicians to clean the wheel weight stickers of your rims". I thought that was great. Well I went to go pick up my truck this time, and I asked if the techs cleaned the rim, and the adviser assured me they did. I asked to talk to the tech that did it so I can tip him. As we walked into the back, the technician exclaimed. " I don't talk to f$^&& customers." I let that go, and tipped the 2 techs that worked on my car anyway. After I left, I noticed my steering wheel was still off. A day later, I started hearing a noise from my right rear wheel. They had not tightened my lugnuts on the wheel at all, I was able to remove them with my fingers, I also noticed the wheel weight sticking had not been removed as I was told. After a week and a half calling corporate, the district manager reached out to me. Apparently he thought my, and my family's safety was funny, as he basically laughed at me and this situation on the phone. I don't even care about being refunded at this point. I just want to let people know that having your vehicle worked on here can really result in a safety issue, and No-one at ANY level in this company cares what horrible work is going out their doors. Be careful! Update: Well the nightmare never ended. Finished paying the forestone card off and closed the account. Never got a card. Horrible customer service from beginning to end. read more

A while ago, I went to this Firestone location because my 2014 Audi Q5 had a slight vibration when driving over 50 mph. I explained the issue clearly, and they told me I needed a tire balance and wheel alignment. They assured me this would fix the problem. I waited for two hours, and when they were done, they told me the problem was fixed. They charged me $280. However, as soon as I drove away, I realized the issue was not fixed at all -- in fact, it was worse, and I could now feel the vibration even at lower speeds. I went back immediately to let them know. After test-driving my car, they suddenly said, "Oh, this is not a vibration, it's just tire noise. You need new tires." They never mentioned this before taking my money, and the service they sold me did nothing to solve the problem. It feels like they sold me unnecessary services without properly diagnosing the real issue. Not only did they fail to fix my car, but they also wasted my time and money. I will never return to Firestone and do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have gone to the Firestone in Danvers many times in the past so recently when the air conditioning went out in my car I took it in. After inspection they told me my compressor and condenser were both bad. They also said I should change the belt and the cabin filter. The quote was over $2800. I was shocked and not prepared to spend that kind of money. I ended up taking it to another mechanic in Salem. When I told him what Firestone told me he informed me that the compressor and condenser rarely go out at the same time but he would take a look at it. Within an hour he got back to me stating it was only the condenser that needed replacing, everything else was in good working condition. He did the work and I had my car back in just a few hours. Needless to say I was very disappointed that Firestone either didn't know what they were doing or they were attempting to get more money than was necessary by doing more work. It's safe to say that I will not be going back and recommend anyone using them to beware. read more

Husband went to get tires today. Tech told him he could not finish alignment but charged for incomplete job, refusing to return car keys until paid. When my husband expressed concern about safety of tires was told they were ok when they clearly are not & won't pass inspection. $137.67 later no tires, no alignment. One of the worst customer service experiences ever. What tire company effectively refuses to sell a customer tires. EPIC FAIL. read more

My daughter, who is doing her student teaching in Danvers, felt that the brakes on her new (to her) car were too soft. For the low, low price of $872.00, Firestone replaced her rear calipers, and DID NOT bleed the brakes. After finding no change in her brakes, she drove back to Vermont, and we brought her car to the dealer that we purchased it from 3 weeks before. He puts new pads and disks on ALL of his vehicles. He showed me around the lot, I saw them myself. An honest mechanic could have done some diagnostic work and told a concerned young woman that these are just the way these brakes feel (different from her old car.) A salesman, however wants to seel you things you don't need. By the way, $127.00 to add brake fluid! Be warned, stay away. Can I give negative stars? read more

Bought tires from Tire Rack and Firestone was mounting. (30 min job) Waited for five hours and kept being told it would be done soon. At 5 pm I told manager that I need to reschedule and he began to YELL at me that he told me it would be a long time. The shop was busy, but most people dropped off their car. They could have fitted me in without inconveniencing anyone else. Went back the next day, picked up my tires and had another company put them on, with a little more respect and no yelling. (I know it's MA and we are are not the nicest of people, but we should strive to be better). read more

Stay so far away from this place. I came in for a lit up dashboard & turns out an overheating engine, of which they didn't fix either. Instead, they told me I needed new brakes. (I didn't, mine were a year old), but I don't know cars super well, so it must be serious. After I got the bill, $1600 including a battery, I still have overheating after the fact because all they did was throw in some coolant that my car obviously wasn't holding. Took my car to a mechanic my family trusts and he verified I was charged for work they claimed they did, but did not touch. Multiple calls to the corporate number and "someone will be in contact with you within 48 hours", no they weren't. Not once. Flash forward a couple weeks, I'm in touch on a regional level, (because I called him, they did not reach out) and I was told there was a certain refund amount given and I was sent a check to remedy a charge on my personal credit card. It's currently a week past when I was supposedly supposed to receive this check in the mail and it's no where to be seen and WHAT DO YOU KNOW, the regional person I was in contact with will not call me back. Absolute SCAM of a company and your car will come out worse than when you sent it in. read more

I came to this location to have a tire replaced and the spare tire placed back into position. My initial impression was very good. Upon returning to get my vehicle i noticed damage to my rear bumper, the salesperson i had been working with also agreed with me that the damage was not present during my drop-off. He went back to get the service manger Gordy in which he was understanding & friendly and agreed to take my information and assured me the damage would be compensated. After days of trying to connect with him I finally got a call back. However the attitude changed and i was told since he did not see anything on camera that he would not be able to provide compensation. The conversation ultimately led to no where and i had to file a complaint with corporate in which i was ultimately reimbursed for the damage after months of going back and forth. There was a lot of dishonesty in dealing with this particular location that left a bad taste. There are several other similar providers i would recommend in the local vicinity ahead of this one for sure. read more

The staff I've spoken with talked in a respectful manner and I felt they were transparent in communicating services and options. It's hard to find a place to trust your car with, but they've taken care of it so far. I've come for alignments and a tire repair, scheduled ahead of time online, and on weeknights. (small side story) I purchased a used car from the Facebook marketplace and I knew that it needed an alignment. The dealer and I both agreed that he would pay for the alignment balance and rotating if there was something wrong. We used his corporate Town Fair tire card so I didn't have to pay a thing The steering still pulled a little bit to the left. I figured town Fair tire sucked (which they do), do I brought it to Firestone. Here we go: I purchased the 150$ lifetime alignment deal. They kindly took my money and told me my car was aligned after about an hour.. after driving it a little while (under 50 miles), I noticed the steering was pulling to the left just SLIGHTLY. But I didn't complain cuz it was good enough.. A few months go by and a few thousand miles... I got my tires rotated from town fair tire (why did I go back? Cuz an idiot and turn a wrench and change where my tires go. So I wasn't worried). ** After an hour, the rotation was done. This time... My steering turned TO THE RIGHT. AND HARD. Now I'm pissed off. Why? Because I couldn't find an appointment until the next day and I was going on vacation. Luckily after 500 miles my road trip, I got to Liverpool,NY where they kindly looked at my alignment. **After 5 mins** They told me MY REAR SUSPENSION WAS FROZEN. It will NEVER be properly aligned unless the suspension was fixed.. Why a 1 star review? Because I trusted them over town fair tire. They took 150$ from me. Didn't tell me the suspension was f*cked. And I believed they did their job. Where do I go from here? I permanently drive with a misalignment cuz I'm cheap and don't need rear suspension, but STILL. They lied. The Firestone in Liverpool,NY were the honest ones and told me what was up. They deserved 5/5 stars for being honest. The people in Danvers location? Clearly thieves. I will not go to this one again. So, funny thing happened on a Saturday. On my way to work driving route 128 to Gloucester, I got a flat tire. What was funny about was because the cause of the flat was a ladder. In the middle of the highway. Yeah, I was none too pleased. I went to the place across the street, they were booked up, but they gave me prices to come back. In need of a new tire, since one place of employment being on Nashua and the donut wouldn't cut it, I came here. The prices were better for what was offered. I went with the cheapest, of course it was a Firestone with coverage for (I think) 55k miles. Which was fantastic. I did need a realignment, after everything was said and done it was about $200. I was able to get lunch, and return to pick up my car. Staff were friendly, the process was transparent. Very satisfactory visit. read more

Beware. Stopped by because my tailpipe fell off. They said bring it in next day for a FREE diagnosis. I went in next day to get a quote (tailpipe in hand) they wanted to charge me $20 to diagnose. Ummmm, hello my tailpipe fell off you need to diagnose that? When picking it up I noticed a sign with a $9.99 diagnosis offer. Then when looking at the quote, they want $368 to take the tailpipe off, LOL, the tailpipe fell off no need to take it off. Watch out folks. read more

Their new customer service technician, "Gordon," has been so rude to me that I refuse to go back to them. Then was said it was because it's too low. It's a stock corvette that has been worked on by any and every other place Then in obvious confusion, I asked if he may know of any place in the area that is also open on sunday. He said he does not work for these places and refused to give me any service, advice, or help after I waited outside these doors for 10-15 mins before they open. I called him out on his rude, horrible customer service and behavior and led to him screaming and spitting on me and my vehicle, telling me to get out of vehicle and be a man. Wrong to assume he's suggesting violence? Anyway, the man very disrespectful and rude from the start. The precise example of poor customer service. Needed to have my summer tires mounted. I had brought it to Town Fair Tire and they gave me the runaround about not changing a car that has wheel studs or spacers installed. Wasted my entire Saturday. I brought it down to Firestone later that night and found that they work on Sundays and they could fit me in and that studs and spacers weren't going to stop them from doing the job. They got my tires swapped in about 40 minutes. The guys I dealt with on both Saturday and Sunday were very helpful and nice to talk to. After I picked up my car, someone showed me some tires and got me some prices as my summer tires are on their last legs. Will go back again for my winter tire changeover and may order tires from them as well. read more

Very slow. Brought my wife's car in last fall to have 4 snow tires(which I already had) put on. 2 1/2 hours later the car was still on the lift. Finally got the car almost an hour later. Brought her car in again a couple of weeks ago for two new regular tires because one had sidewall damage. They had to order the tires from Revere. Drove home. 4 hours later they called to say the tires were in. Drove back. Tires were the wrong size. 17 inch and the car has 18 inch. WTF! Had a pair of 18 inch tires that were a size narrower. I had been hassled at other places trying to buy a new tire for my car after I got a flat. The tires I had were almost brand new but were an almost unknown brand. They were able to work with me to find a tire that would fit unlike other places that wouldn't sell me one tire. They were able to find a tire and get my car into the shop in under 5 minutes. I used to work in the neighborhood, so I always took my car here for general maintainance as well as major repairs. They were always very honest with their estimates. A lot of times they gave me extra coupons and free oil changes and stuff. Steve, the old manager, was really awesome, but I think he left. The assistant manager took over, and he rocks. I made an appointment to come in about a week in advance. I told them exactly what I needed done and the manager Gordon said no problem, "a couple of hours, max. We will see you then." I took 4 hours off work, showed up exactly on time with all of my tires and wheels in the back of my car for them to swap out. When checking in the guy was completely rude but I suspect it was because he felt overworked. Ok, I let it go and continued checking in. He says to me that I will need to drop it off overnight. Now I was stuck there, at the mercy of this guy, with all this shit in the back of my truck and having to pick up my kids from school in the early afternoon. I had no choice but to turn around and drive away. I mean, c'mon... I made an appointment, they even had my phone number... they could've called me to reschedule. After hitting a pot hole and figuring there was some wheel or suspension damage I brought my car in to be looked at. I also had my winter wheels and tires put on here and the service then was great. The guys let me know I had a bent wheel, they straightened it and I was all set. The issue was, on the ride home the ride was bumpier and vibrating more than before their fix for some reason. I called and rescheduled a time for the next day to double check everything, left my car at my appointment and expected a call when everything was done. I returned almost 3 hours later figuring they forgot to call, and was told my car would be looked at shortly. Not sure what the point of scheduling an appointment a day before is if that's how the service goes. Gonna have to find a different shop and pay twice to solve something firestone couldn't. read more

Found a coupon for $21.99 Synthetic Oil Change and immediately scheduled to have it done this afternoon. However, when I brought our 2012 Camry in and presented the special offer which I printed from Firestones homepage/Rebates and offers, I was told that the Synthetic they offer is only "Standard" - though it never mentions that in the ad verbage - and that if I chose the synthetic that Firestone offers it could damage the engine and void the Toyota warranty. Then the upsell came for Toyota-approved equivalant 0-20W synthetic for an additonal $14.00, for a total of $37 and change (w/tax). I informed the service desk person that I felt that this was deceptive advertising. In fact, I feel that what happened here was a "Bait & Switch". My bad for not calling and verifying the type oil that our car takes, huh? The two people I dealt with were pleasant and it took about as long as I was advised it would take to get the oil replaced. However, I was expecting them to honor their offer and not give me the line about not the same oil as I need - Even when I called to set up the appointment and specifically stated the necessary information about this vehicle and that I wished to take advantage of this $21.99 special offer! read more
