I'd give no stars if I could. Negative stars. I had my car towed there for a flat. First the manager tries to convince me I drove on the flat. I did not , it couldn't have been driven on anyway. He says "you drove on this". I assured him I did not. He then called me back and stated "you know what , you're right. I took a look at it myself and it wasn't driven on". He told me he might be able to patch it and I asked for an oil change. He did their song and dance about better oil , dirty filter ... I let them do that & I went there and paid. When I was going to leave, in the lot , my brake pedal went to the FLOOR. No brakes. I spoke to the same guy and asked what the hell happened . He got in the car to see and said "the car was like that when it arrived" it was not. Then , he began to get arrogant and cocky stating "miss ... I'm not paying for your brakes!" He spoke to me like I was running a scam on THEM. Like I was trying to get some free work. I was cursing at being accused of such a thing and he had the audacity to point out my language. I stated we should call the police . I just wanted it documented. Then the nasty manager said "well take a look at it for no charge to see what is wrong" I get a call , they were asking for over $2800 !!!! Full brake assembly. Rotors , pads , etc. I had it towed to the shop of a mechanic who used to own a towing company. He stated there is no way this damage was created by the tow. I've contacted Firestone corporate and filed a complaint. I'm also filing in small claims court. Was it worth it to try and milk me for more money Jonathan ? Because I'll see you in court. The damage they did is $500. A lot of green between 2800 and 500. Firestone Bayonne are scam artists. They are robbing customers. We're not done here. Promise read more

Had to replace a battery for a 2020 Subaru. Price was basically the same as other vendors I checked, however, when they completed the installed the new battery, they charged me $50.00 just for the labor. I checked other auto shops later to find out that most all of them would have installed the battery for free as long as you buy the battery from them, a few others it was maybe $10.00 if that. read more

Absolute trash of a service station! I went in with a soft brake issue and they told me it would cost $5000.00 to repair and I should simply purchase a new car. When I asked if they could look it over to be sure, I was told they lacked the equipment! I also had a faulty airbag light and again, I was hit with thousands in estimates. I asked for a tuneup and was told tuneups were no longer offered and everything would have to be done separately? Huh? I went to "Under car repair center" located at 1613 JFK blvd and this amazingly knowledgeable mechanic repaired everything for $600! I even went in to get my exhaust fixed and he claimed my car was good for at least another 200,000 miles. Car is in perfect shape! Stay away from Firestone! read more

I scheduled a appointment to have my vehicle to get a wheel alignment done . Waited 2 hours besides them running 1 hour late to tell they can't perform the service.They don't have the correct tool. They should have told me they couldn't do the job . Instead i waisted 2 hours . Horrible read more

I went there got my car checked they said it needed something done it would cost over 500$ I took it to a real mechanic somewhere else they fixed the problem for 300 bucks and it wasn't what Firestone said that was the problem. Something totally different if I would of let these jerks do the job, they would of charged me for it and to fix the real problem. The sad part is the problem with my car was very obvious.so I know I was getting ripped off. I was a regular customer. Now they could rip someone else. I will never set foot in Firestone ever again. I was deciding whether to repair my vehicle or buy a new one. I had a quote from a dealership that seemed abnormally high to replace the exhaust. I called to get a quote. they said they needed to look at it, but since I knew exactly what it needed ( manifold back) it should have been an easy quote since they just need to replace everything. The morning guy named Joe agreed to quote, I left my info and waited all day. No call. I called back to check. The guy who answered said they never quote over the phone, so I asked for Joe and was hung up on. I called back several times. Each time I was instantly hung up on and once I was placed on an indefinite hold. I'm stubborn so I waited 10 minutes before I hung up. I guess they like to waste peoples time and hate money. Oh man I wish I can give ten stars. First of all I made a last minute appointment through their website, I received a phone call soon after from Jonathan. I explained that I had a flat tire,he asked me to bring it by so he can see if it can be repaired. Once roadside assistance was done I drove to Firestone and was greeted by Jonathan. He looked at the tire and knew immediately that it couldn't be repaired, he then quickly ordered a new one. He told me would call me the next day when it was available, and he did that. When I get there I encounter Jonathan again, friendly just like the day before. Anderson comes out and explains to me that my lug nut was broken in which I explained the guy from the roadside assistance broke it. He suggested I file a claim with my insurance (thank you for that piece of advice).He explained everything to me in detail then he rang me up and I was out the door in less then an hour. I can't thank you guys enough and from now on this is my go to place. This entire process was quick and hassle free! read more

First off, let me say generally, I don't like mechanics. They rip you off, don't always fix the problem and cause other problems. So, I'm always picky on where to take my car for simple oil changes. I decided to start taking my car here and was very pleased with it. I've gotten oil changes as well as tires. I would take my car when they first open on Saturday morning and walk home and come back later to pick it up. Every time, they would do a good job. That's until one day they screwed up. I took it in for a usual oil change, came to pick it up and later took my wife to work in Hoboken. On my way there, a loud knocking came from the engine and steam started coming out. I called Firestone on the phone and told them about it and they told me to bring it back in. I dropped my wife off and on the way back my car started to overheat. I made it to a gas station and had to buy coolant because it was bone dry. After pouring in coolant, the car worked just fine which leads me to believe either they put in the wrong fluid or not enough. I went back to FIrestone and they said nothing was wrong and they didn't do anything wrong. I'm willing to forgive if they admit mistake but they didn't. I now take me car to STS further south. It's further away from me but I don't mind if they do a good job. Firestone has lost me as a customer. read more

UPDATE 12/30/18: Had an emergency where the serpentine belt slipped off on one of my vehicles and was hours before selling it. John (I think) helped me out in a fair amount of time and ensured me that the keys would not be left in the vehicle. They put the belt back on and I was good to go. He also saved me 200 dollars and made me feel confident I made the right choice bringing it here. Picked the car up 1 hour after dropping it off! Thank you for all of your help in a pinch! Good to know Firestone in Bayonne can be my go-to spot once again! read more

Worst customer service I ever saw from an auto repair. That summarizes my experience here. I came to this place to fix a flat tire, however the guy at the counter wanted me to buy a new tire. Never even bothered to see the tire. Their prices are not competitive either. Better off buying new tires from Costco, much better deal and a lot better service. read more

I never bought any tires from Firestone. I have only used them to get some repairs done to my tires. Pros: Open on weekends (long hours on both Saturday and Sunday). Employees are very nice people and seem honest. Cons: Service is very slow .. but that might have to do with the fact that they're one of the few places in Bayonne open on the weekend. For the repairs I've needed, the price is very high compared to many of the local shops that aren't chains. Bottom line: If it wasn't for them being open on the weekend, I would gladly take my business to some of the other local shops to save some money especially if its any other day of the week. read more

Quality service and honest mechanics. They never try to "up-sell" me services like a regular mechanic does. They will make recommendations for things that need done, but are not pushy by ANY means whatsoever. I love buying tires here because they have the roadside warrenty where if something happens to Firestone tires you can bring your car in and they will replace them for free - totally worth it (trust me, theyve replaced my tires quite a few times for free!). They are really friendly and professional - you can either wait there or they will call and tell you when your car is done and you can pick it up. I am a Bayonne resident. Want to keep business in Bayonne. Went to get 2 tires and oil change. Left the car there at 10:30 told it would take a couple hours or 2pm. Ok fine left the vehicle there only live 4 blocks away. Called at 2:15, told it would take another hour. Ok fine. Went there at 3 pm. Car still had the donut(spare tire). They said it would take another hour. Took the keys and will never look back. If there was a zero star rating this place would get it. I will never go to firestone again. I had my mother's car looked over and it cost me over $1000.00 to get it in good condition that was a year ago and it never ran right since then. My mother was driving home from work when smoke was coming out from the front wheel. It turns out when they did the brakes the put 2 different clamps that hold the brake pads on the rotor and they locked causing a fire. Thank god my mother is ok or I'd be suing the hell out of them!!!! read more

DON'T use this service! I get quote from them and ether call to store and they confirm appointment and existing tire. THERE IS NO TIRE in stock at time I did come and they try to cell me more expensive things. There is no way to complain because Firestone headquarter customer service just connect me back to store manager and confirm that they REA LY don't have tire in stock and they not responsible for anything. read more

I have never been more dissatisfied with a company in my life! My fiance went there to bring his car in to see whats wrong with it. He got a price of $1,788 for something that was not even wrong with his car at all. I work in a dealership and I brought his car to my job and guess what??? What they told him was wrong with the car is not even any where near the problem, nor near the price of what they were trying to charge him. I just can not believe after all the years we have been going there they are able to rip someone off like this. How long have we been getting rip off for? I will never ever go back there, I will tell everyone about this story and never refer anyone to this place ever. I will also be posting this story all over social media so people know to stay clear of this place, and btw the real price to fix the car with tax was $88.81. Went to firestone to get oil changes on two vehicles. Had coupons for both cars which were honored. Had an appointment for one car and was told to bring other car in for service. Everyone was professional and courteous, especially manager Chase Petrucci. I will continue to return to firestone for oil changes and maintenance on my vehicles. read more

I called to make an appointment and was told to come in at 2pm for an oil change. Which usually takes about 20 minutes. I went shopping for an hour came back and my car was just taken in the back. Hour and a half for an oil change with an appointment is in my opinion outrageous. read more

i've been to firestone on broadway 3 or 4 times now for new tires/flat repair, never had an issue before last week when i went in for a new tire and they charged me an extra 30$ for a lug nut?! 4.99 for the nut 25 for labor, i'm not the best with cars but i dont think 25 bucks to put a lug nut on a tire is a good deal. kinda pissed they squeezed me for the extra money, i complained but got me no where, so next time i'll take my business else where. buyer beware. read more
