Purchased 2023 Highlander in October 2025. Was told and demonstrated while test driving car that car had built in navigation system. Shared that if car did not that would be a "deal breaker". When received car - have since been told there is no built in navigation system and I have to pay a monthly subscription fee to use navigation. Sales person admits to providing the wrong information. Using prior owners account to access navigation system when demonstrating use. Have asked for resolution from company. Offered to cover 1 year of subscription. Will keep car much longer than 1year. Cost of adding navigation system is between $5,000-6,000. Have opened complaint through Toyota customer service. Have called for follow up approximately 6 times and told I will receive call back from manager, and manager has never returned call. I called dealership myself and asked to talk with manager who was not available, and was told he (Matt) will call me back and he has not. Sold by giving false information from dealership. read more

got a used car 4 months ago and nothing but problems hood latch doesn't work, all these other breaks lights went out, and system needed 2 new wheel speed sensors and now a multiple cylinder missfire. The car has a tuned ecu that I guess they didn't know about and using 93 instead of 87. they did not disclose this to me. I had to contact the original owner for this information. do not go to Firelands Toyota save yourself the headache. they are taking no accountability for any of this. when it shows pure negligence. read more

"Just looking" turned into a very nice purchase event for us. We had visited the lot on Labor Day and noticed a nice looking Toyota Highlander. Not really in the market for another vehicle, (we have 4 already) we thought it wouldn't hurt to LOOK. Returned on Friday that week and it was still there so it must have been meant to be. I feel as if I was taken advantage of being a female. Firelands charged me $105.63 for an oil change, Ken Ganley only charges $59.95 same amount of oil and the same kind, plus a tire rotation. Something seems fishy. They have lost our business, will go elsewhere. That will include a car purchase when we plan on purchasing! I'll call for quotes from now on. read more

This is a dealership with a heart! I can't express enough of my gratitude towards the caring staff, particularly Jamie Wright and Matty. I was vacationing in Sandusky from Michigan, 160 miles away. On my last night, my Toyota Avalon Hybrid was caught in a flash flood in the hotel's parking lot from a severe thunderstorm. My hybrid system had a malfunction, among several other malfunctions. I Googled for the nearest dealership, which was Firelands Toyota. While I was there, State Farm decided to totaled my car due to the extensive damages. But unfortunately, several other individuals in the area had car damage and the local car rentals were out of vehicles with extensive waitlists. Jamie and Matty helped me search for other car rentals in nearby cities, which they were going to drive me to, but everyone was out of vehicles to rent. They expanded the search to 60 miles away, insisting that they will drive me (for free) as they were only concerned about me getting home. Unfortunately, even 60 miles away, all car rentals were out of vehicles. I booked a hotel room, which Matty drove me to and both Matty and Jamie insisted that I call them the next day as they would pick me up to take to me a car rental. The next day, there were still no car rentals, but I ended-up renting a one-way U-Haul in order to get home. But the dealership was not making any money of my car since the insurance totaled my car and sent a tow truck to take to State Farm's salvage yard, but yet, just out of compassion, the dealership staff bent over backwards to help me during this difficult time. This really is a dealership with a heart and I wish they were closer to where I live. read more

This was the quickest car purchase we have ever done. The dealer went above and beyond in every aspect. Drove up from Columbus since they had the car we wanted. They gave us a price for our trade off photos and the trade and new vehicle price were fair so we decided to purchase the car. We showed up at 5 p.m. (Closing time) since it was a 2 hours drive but they assured us they would take care of us. The car was cleaned and waiting. We handed over our keys for the trade, did a quick test drive, went over the numbers again, wrote the check and we were out of there. Took our Prius in for a routine oil change and tire rotation, was told it would take about an hour. We hung out in the lobby (add snacks, please!), but the time went by quickly. When our car was finally done after an hour and a half, I mentioned that I was glad it was finally done because I was hungry. The man at the service desk handed me my paperwork, waved away my credit card, and said "Happy New Year. Sorry for the wait." We'll be back! read more
