The sandwich I got was the turkey bacon ranch, which was decent. It arrived in a nice little container with a slice of pickle on top, it definitely was not the crunchiest or even freshest slice. The sandwich was warm, and had a layer of veggies and turkey, and a few bits of bacon throughout. Firehouse Subs always hits the spot when I am craving a warm sub. My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch and each got a medium sub and a fountain soda. I chose the turkey sub while he chose the New York Steamer. Both subs were warm, toasty and generously packed with meat and toppings. We were warmly greeted by the workers, even though they were busy preparing a large catering order. They took our order quickly and efficiently. Been to this Firehouse Subs location many times for lunch and learned quickly to get there before the 1145am lunch rush. For some reason the bbq chips go well with most subs. I usually order the Philly Sub with peppers and onions. The prices vary but the large subs are past ten dollars and i always grab a plastic cup and fill it with Free water from the self service drink machine or pay crazy soda prices. On one of my recent visits, I did not choose curbside and came inside, as the previous experience was so confusing with having chosen curbside and no one came out until I called the store for status. The two young men working on this last order were nice but when I asked about the tuna sub being the only cold sub choice on the app, they both agreed not being familiar with the app and what was available for the customers there. They said that when choosing the ham and provolone, I should choose it and make an extra note or call the store to request it cold. I thanked them and said they should become familiar with the app and mention to their manager that it is un-synced. Additionally, the sandwich maker did not wear a mask "over" his nose and mouth. He had it under his chin. And I had a redeemable free-drink offer but they said I was supposed to order it and then they would credit the amount back to my card after showing them the "coupon" on the app. They were kind enough to give me the drink anyway. The customer service at Firehouse here is what most customers expect. However, I believe there is a disconnect with the app or the online ordering process and I suggest looking into this and follow-up training. The employees seemed laxed and somewhat in disbelief over the coronavirus pandemic. Stricter measurements should be put in place and enforced here for their health and safety and that of all their patrons. read more

Now I'm pretty sure no matter how you slice it or dice it, it is a sub place with cold cuts and processed meats so I'm very sure the sodium count is sky high. My take on the Smokehouse Beef is that it had robust flavor full of insanity. This definitely not a place I would recommend. I would have been better off at subway. I ordered two sandwiches a Hero and a vegetable. Let's start with the with the firehouse hero, it supposed to have ham, turkey and roast beef. No roast beef! For ham and turkey I could have gone to subway since they don't have roast beef anymore. Not only was there no roast beef, they barely put any veggies on it. The vegetable sub was basically a seven dollar bread sandwich! Barely had any lettuce, tomatoes, or onions, I asked for extra pickles and cucumbers. Nope! Only thing right was I asked for no mayo and cheese. I know times are tough, but I think they can afford to vegetable on the vegetable sandwich. This place is always a good option when in a rush. Food takes approximately 6 minutes to be prepared but it is done on the spot and much more quality than going to subway. The store specializes in making appearance for the local city which painting highlighting the city name. Staff is extremely courteous every time I go and they will bring the food to your table so you don't have to wait standing. My favorite sub here is the New York steamer; however, today I wanted to try something different and I ordered the philly cheese which extremely exceeded my expectations. Thinking it was going to be similar to subway, this philly was very tender and flavorful. I had recently been to another Firehouse Subs location closer to Fort Lauderdale beach, that experience was pretty good. Over the weekend we were looking to grab a quick and inexpensive bite to eat. I suggested Firehouse since my hubby is not the biggest Subway fan. When we walked in there was a family of 3 ahead of us, so it was not super crowded. Unfortunately, I had a hard time understanding the English the guy behind the counter was speaking. It took about 13-14 minutes for our subs to even come out, we sat waiting for what is supposed to be fast food. My husband pointed out that we could have just gone to a sit down restaurant for all the time we sat here. By the way, there were 3 people working when we came in on Saturday around 6:30ish. I have no clue how this place is so slow. We go to Subway in Sunrise about once a week, they very quickly make your sub and you are out the door in about 5 minutes. I don't know how this place would ever move people during the midday lunch time rush, it's so inefficient. I think this place is kind of on the pricey side at $17 for a medium veggie sub and a large brisket sub. My veggie sub was pretty pathetic, to me it looked like a kids sub. I ordered extra lettuce and it had very little on it. So far a mixed experience with this chain. I'll maybe try one more in a different location, but I won't be back to this one. read more

I had a coupon for a free sub with any purchase and decided to give this location a chance. The building was very clean and the staff was attentive and friendly so I had high hopes. Unfortunately when I got home I was very disappointed in the sandwiches. They were both made correctly, technically, but both sandwiches were extremely dry. Some of the bread pieces were so hard and dry they gouged my gums while I was trying to chew. Additionally, all of the meat was in the very middle of the sandwiches so my husband and I both essentially only got half a sandwich since both ends were just dry over cooked bread. I ordered a veggie sub online for pick up. The exact verbiage is "onions, bell peppers, and mushroom, etc" so we can all see that onions is not included with the word mushroom. I selected no mayonnaise, no tomato, no sautéed onions. I check my order in the car and the sandwich has no mushrooms. He goes on to explain when you say no sautéed onions that means no mushrooms. NOWHERE does it say no sautéed onions/mushrooms nor is there even an option for no mushrooms. I was in the wrong with my attitude but this does not make any sense, how is the consumer supposed to know that's what that means. It is not clear at all. They added mushrooms for me, I didn't look at the sub till I returned to work. The sandwich also had NO deli mustard, and NO pickle (which I did not take off and is the best part of going to firehouse). If I could give zero stars I would simply because not one of the employees understands sanitation. They use the same gloves from the previous sandwich... the tougher the register with the gloves and then he proceeded to wipe his hands on his shirt and then went back to preparing my food. Not to mention the entire staff is very helpful, knowledgable and friendly, specially Kieth. This location is typically not full even during lunch hours which seems to be there rush hour. So it's perfect if you have a short lunch or need to crab something and go. Expect to find lots of police officers and fire fighters since both stations are right around the corner. Back on November 15th, 2015, I placed an online order to this specific location. I was hoping that I could just walk in, pick up my paid order, and get back on the road since my lunch breaks were only 30 minutes and this restaurant took a few minutes to get to. When I arrived, I saw there was a bit of a line leading to the cash register. I asked one of the employees behind the counter if I could just go ahead and pick up my PAID online order, as I was told in previous visits by other FireHouse Subs employees that I should go straight to the counter and pick it up immediately. The employee told me that I would have to wait in line to pick up the order and that they only had one register working at the moment. I saw my COMPLETED order and name on the bag right behind this employee, so I asked if I could just grab it and get going. He told me I had to wait. If I had not paid for my order ahead of time, I would have walked out and that would have been the end of it. However, I paid for it online, so I got in line and waited... and waited... and waited some more. About 15-20 minutes later, I finally got to the front of the line and I was handed my order... something that could and should have been done after approaching the first employee. In a bit of a rush, I went back to work (consuming my meal on the way since I had no time to spare) and wrote an objective but sternly-worded email to their Customer Service department. I received a few replies back from their main HQ, but I did not receive any contact or feedback from the franchise location itself. I'm not a hard guy to please and I loved the meals I got from Firehouse Subs and this location in prior visits. However, because of the bad (or lack) of customer service I have received, I will never eat at this or any Firehouse Subs location again.
