I'd get the sandwich, a side, and a fountain drink for $10. Sweet! A week ago, I was at Promenade Mall and noticed this Firehouse Subs. I decided to check it out after work on Monday. Traffic sucked. I was close to the mall. I pulled off to the side to park and placed my order through the Firehouse Subs app. My combo consisted of these items: - Medium hook and ladder sub - Chocolate chunk cookie - Fountain drink I paid and got an estimated time of fifteen minutes. With a traffic issue caused by a York region police vehicle blocking a lane northbound on Bathurst Street, this delay had me arrive on time to pick up my order and dine in. I got a parking spot close to mall entrance 2. Like Jollibee, there's an entrance directly through the eatery. You can also enter through the mall. It is a smaller eatery. There was a male customer chowing down. He was occupying 25% of the tables. Yep, there are only four tables here. I got a nice man at the pickup order area. I indicated that I had an order under my name. He nodded. He asked if I was doing takeout or dining in. I had specified dining in. He nodded and gave me a cup. I went to the fountain drink machine and got a Diet Coke with ice. He let me know that my food was ready. I grabbed my tray and thanked him. I then headed to a table and occupied 50% of the dining area. I loved my hook and ladder sub. It was so fresh with turkey, honey ham, and Monterey jack cheese. I loved the veggies. I got it on whole wheat bread. Delicious! I then had my chocolate chunk cookie. It hit the spot satisfying my dessert craving. It had tons of chocolate chunks in it. The cookie was perfect. I went to refill my drink. My Diet Coke was cold and crisp. There is a single stall washroom that is wheelchair-accessible. I like that there's a ledge to place your drink or whatever on it. You press a button to lock the door. You press another button to let yourself out. The washroom was clean. No complaints. I liked dining here. It was comfortable. The food and drink were yummy. I recall waiting for the traffic light to change. I looked at the sign at this plaza and it had Firehouse Subs. Really? It was news to me. I learned that it had set up shop next to Chatime. This eatery has taken over from where M&M Food Market used to be. Previously, it was a Sally Beauty. Here's hoping that Firehouse Subs sticks around. I felt like a sub for dinner. I ordered online and signed up for Firehouse Subs rewards. I can earn points towards free food. I am close to getting a free bag of chips already. I got a welcome gift of 100 points. I ordered a combo containing the following items: - Large Montreal smoked meat sub - Harvest cheddar Sun Chips - Medium fountain drink I paid online. It was a smooth transaction. I was in downtown Markham. I headed over to this eatery. There is lots of parking in front of Firehouse Subs. I pulled into a spot and walked in. There was a man waiting for his order. A couple was ordering in front of me. The man loudly asked what size his drink was. The woman behind the counter had the patience of a saint. She let him know that it was a medium. I was looking for the Rapid Rescue sign. I saw nothing. Instead, I approached the woman and indicated that I had a takeout order. Halfway through rattling off my name, I noticed that there was a cubby area to my left, but low to the ground. I saw my name on a paper bag. She smiled. It was indeed my order. There was a cup for my fountain drink. She went to get me a bag of harvest cheddar Sun Chips and put it in my bag. I thanked her and wished her a great evening. She reciprocated. There were a few folks dining in. I headed over to the fountain drinks machine, put some ice and filled it up with Diet Coke. I put a lid on it and stuck a straw through it. Done! I walked out with my order, safely placing everything in my car. I drove home and looked forward to dinner. It was my first time getting a large sub. I was hungry. The Montreal smoked meat sub was excellent. It had a lot of smoked meat that was tender and yummy. It was surprisingly not overly salty. I got it on whole wheat bread. I loved it. Perfect! My sub had a lot of mayo. The deli mustard had a kick to it. I'm guessing that it was mixed with horseradish. My sinuses were cleared up, which I appreciated. The only downside was that it came with onions. I didn't customize my sub. I wanted to enjoy it the way that it was intended to be eaten. I got four thick onion rings in my sub. They had that burning raw taste when I had a bite. I was not a fan. I took the remaining rings out. If I had one more onion ring, I could have made the Olympics rings logo. The provolone cheese was perfectly paired with the smoked meat. So good! I devoured this sub. It's here for a limited time. I need to get it again before it's gone. I love harvest cheddar Sun Chips. I actually got two bags. Double the enjoyment. Yes! My Diet Coke was refreshing and washed everything down. I had a great experience. I'm glad that this location exists.
