I went here for dinner and had the hook and ladder sub with ham and turkey "fully involved" with all the ingredients. The sub was hot , fresh and tasty and was highlighted by the datil pepper sauce. . The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

Wanted to skip the line and ordered really early for a large Firehouse Hero fully-involved on white bread through the app. The sandwich was a good size and generous with meats including premium roast beef, smoked turkey breast and honey ham. Topped it with provolone cheese with lettuce, onion and tomato and we got ourselves a real sub. Extremely happy with the sandwich ready to go and when I got there to pick it up and not have to wait. Tip. Ask for Captain Sorensen sauce, it's there signature sauce that makes the sandwich even more flavorful and a add a little bit of kick to it.

Surprisingly, I have lived in areas with Firehouse Subs for many many years and this is the first time I have eaten here. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I got the brisket cheddar sandwich and my wife got the steak and cheese. They were both hot and the cheese was melted throughout. There was no need for any type of additional sauce. There were several other subs on the menu that I look forward to trying in the future. The only knock on the review is that they made an error on the bread and switched up my bread and my wife's. Not a huge deal but she is not a big fan of the bread they gave her.

Being a fan of a good sub I had to check out the new firehouse. This location is a little smaller then most and had a smaller sauce bar as well but they did have their famous Datil Pepper sauce and that's all you really need. I ordered a large New York Steamer since I always enjoy corned beef and pastrami. For $9.39 the sub is huge and will for sure fill you up which stands out from a lot of other places large subs. My only issue was that the meat seemed to be quite wet which caused the bread to get soggy is certain spots. Beside that service was nice and quick. Just can't stand soggy bread.

They have a nice menu with a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches and wings, fries and onion rings, and Fountain drinks and milkshakes!! But I am so limited in what I may eat, that I had to ask for a plain hamburger and grilled mushrooms--cooked on a space that that was freshly cleaned off on the grill. I was so wrapped up in explaining this to very patient counterlady McKenzie (I believe) that I forgot to ask for lettuce and tomato. When it arrived at the table--brought singly out by Fernando (I believe)--I realized that I hadn't asked for the lettuce or tomato and I mumbled that to myself. But, I did not ask outright! Lo and behold, not a minute later Fernando appears with a plate of lettuce and tomato. How terrifically caring is that!?!?! And my burger was perfectly cooked and I did not have a bad reaction which means McKenzie got all the instructions exactly right and the chefs did exactly right, too! I thank all the staff very much! My family who was with me enjoyed all their selections, including fries and onion rings. My grandson's milkshake disappeared quickly. (You can get alcohol there, too.) Will definitely be back and will spread the word about how terrific Burger Barn is!!

Service was impeccable from ordering, service and follow up by workers and even the manager. For a burger joint, this is first class. My son is active military so we got a discount. I had the southwest burger which was rich and savory. I would have like my bun toasted that is just me. Also, I ordered fries which had a nice seasoning and were very crisp. I washed it all down with a cookie and cream shake. Our first time at Burger barn. The interior had a old country feel. The menu was a sight for sore eyes. It was big, bold and right in your face. Everyone loved their burgers and the kids did not eat a thing. I have funny grand kids that do not eat hot food. What a treat to have burgers, fries and chicken wings on a wonderful Sunday afternoon.

Hubs & son love wings. I do not. They're messy, and I don't usually like to eat chicken skin…read more Bonchon may have changed my mind. Visiting my son & DIL this past weekend, both of my son's dining suggestions were wing-focused. But my vegetarian DIL (she eats some seafood) seemed to be more interested in Bonchon than the other potential spot, so I took her side to make our choice. I can usually find something to eat on any menu, in spite of my immature palette, and Bonchon was no exception. In fact, there are several other things I want to try now! We started with the Korean Cucumber Salad & Bao Buns with Pork Belly. No one that knows me will be surprised that the cucumber salad was much too hot for me. But here is something unexpected... I loved the cole slaw on the Bao Bun, and the sauces were complementary enough that the spice level was fine for me. I would definitely order the Bao Buns again, and try the other meats. For my meal, I ordered the Bibimbap with Bulgogi, and really enjoyed it. Their marinated beef was very tasty, and of course I love an egg on just about anything. Another (non)shock, I did not care for the Bibimbap Sauce because it was rather hot; I appreciated that it was served on the side. Hubs said the mushrooms & caramelized onions were very good, but I didn't eat either. Then I tried a Classic Crunch drumstick, and fell in love! Yes, I bit into it like y'all do, and ate the skin, too. What a delicious piece of chicken! I didn't even need a dipping sauce (& I can't remember what the boys chose anyway). My son insisted that I'd enjoy a Korean BBQ wing also, and I'm sure I would, but I was already getting full. Next time! Also for my next visit, my DIL got a Mopo Corndog as her appetizer (though she also ate a lot of the cucumber salad), and it looked amazing! The name was confusing (to me), but there is no hot dog inside, so I want to try one. Fried mozzarella & potato cubes! They have two versions, so of course I want to try both; although I'm rather skeptical about the sugar-cinnamon coating, I'm anticipating an unexpectedly delicious bite. Service was fantastic, although they weren't very busy yet on this Saturday evening. Our server was very attentive & friendly, and none of us waited for a new drink or refill. My son & DIL evidently visit often, so I'm sure we'll return. I wish we had a Bonchon location closer to us!

I must say, I've become quite the "Chicken Tendies" critic as I've ventured around Jacksonville…read more Don't ask me why, I have ZERO explanation for this sudden obsession, but lately I've come to realize that not all Tendies are created equal. Enter PDQ. The Digs: Stand alone brick and mortar in upscale St. Johns County. I've eaten there on numerous occasions, and no matter what time of day I arrive, the expansive dining room is virtually spotless. The enticing aroma of fresh Chicken and crisp Waffle Fries being made to order will lead you to the counter with a sense of urgency. There's two Coca-cola Freestyle machines to ensure that no one dies of thirst. An abundance of tables and booths are situated to entertain a crowd, if needed. The Noms: Don't get me wrong, there's more to PDQ than just the Tendies (salads, milkshakes, etc.), however, my go-to order is the 4-piece meal with Waffle Fries and Toast. Up until my very first visit, I had NO IDEA how one thick, buttery, toasty piece of bread could be SO essential to this meal. If they ran out of toast I'd walk out and come back the next day, that's how dependant I am on this bread. The Tendies are fried to perfection, and elevated by my 2 dipping sauces of choice, Ranch and Honey Mustard. There's an assortment of sauces to suit anyone's taste, but those two are my besties, and I'm an unapologetic Ranch snob. The Waffle Fries are coming at you fresh out of the fryer, so you might want to wait a minute before you dig in, speaking from experience. And So: This particular PDQ is unquestionably my favorite "Tendies" spot in Jacksonville, by far. The service is quick and the staff welcome you with warm smiles and pleasantries. Definitely a must-try if you haven't already. 5 well deserved stars. Till next time, my fellow Yeeps, thanks for reading, and as always....SYOY!

I really can't believe I haven't reviewed this fast casual restaurant yet…read more We have been going here at least once a week since they opened. The food is great, fresh and the serving size is awesome. They have $15 specials with an appetizer which is a good value. My husband and my MIL almost always order the small salad with gyro meat. It is not the smaller side salad that I order. They have an even larger salad that can be shared. Meat is gyro, salmon, chicken and falafel

Susan and I visited The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill expecting a traditional sit down restaurant…read moreand instead discovered a counter service spot that completely won us over. From the moment we walked in, the space felt clean, bright, and welcoming, with a simple Mediterranean style that made it comfortable to dine in. There was a steady stream of customers coming and going, both dining in and picking up takeout, which immediately told us this place has built a loyal following. The food is where The Great Greek really shines. We started with the four dip combo, and honestly, that alone is worth the visit. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor without being heavy. The tirokafteri had a bold kick that built just enough heat to keep things interesting. Paired with plenty of warm, soft pita, it is an easy dish to share and one we would happily order every time. For our main dishes, I ordered the gyro, which I often use as a benchmark when trying a Greek restaurant. The meat was flavorful, the pita was fresh, and the tzatziki sauce really stood out, tying everything together beautifully. The feta fries were another highlight and were hard to stop eating. Susan ordered the Atlantic salmon, and it ended up being the biggest surprise of the meal. It was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and paired with sides that complemented the fish rather than overpowering it. Portion sizes are generous, pricing feels very fair for the quality and amount of food, and service was friendly and efficient throughout our visit. Even though this is a counter service restaurant, staff brought the food to the table and checked in to make sure everything was just right. We even left with leftovers and dessert to enjoy later, which is always a good sign. What we thought would be a quick meal turned into a really enjoyable dining experience. This is a restaurant we will absolutely be returning to and one we are happy to recommend to anyone looking for great Greek food done well.
