However. This was 3 slices of dense, buttery, baked heaven - the store is aptly named. I was literally ENCHANTED by its delicateness working so immaculately with the bold yet fully realized flavors. The staff were extra kind and threw in an extra cookie gratis since I had declared 1) it was my first Pure Bliss visit, and 2) it was my 1/2 birthday. Thank you to the owner. One has no greater joy in life, I think, than bringing happiness to others. Mission accomplished. Thank you to the baker. Wow again. This was 3 cakes in one and, while I've been working on my glutton chip, you broke my panel. I could NOT convince myself to parse the slice into 3 servings. Something I could easily have done if I had restraint, wasn't so starved for magic midst an oasis of mediocrity (or unpredictability). ...and also hadn't taken an edible before starting in. And, thank you to the staff. I chose that day to mark a line in the sand for not tipping people who "simply" bring me my item. I was wrong. Dead wrong. Your graciousness, professionalism and sheer kindness were worth a tip that should have equalled the price of the free 2nd cookie gift. I will absolutely be tipping you next time. The women working were DOLLS! So sweet. I could tell they had the ordering counter down to a science and were super efficient while still being friendly and spending time with each customer.
