Last week I ordered a turkey sub and a Philly Steak sub, the Philly steak was the worst I ever had, it was not even cooked, you are supposed to cook the steak plus the jalapeños plus the onion and peppers and it chop up all together toast the bread put mayo on it then put cheese. But the way the my made it was nasty. Waste of my money.now today I ordered two turkey sandwiches and two sun chips I only got one sun chip and no pickles.. second time coming next time I come I'll be working there...! read more

Cashier was very pleasant and told us what was going to be on the HOT sandwich we ordered. Goes downhill from there. Table was very Dirty. Then our Hot , not really. Came in for lunch, there was 1 car on the drive-thru no one at the order counter. A few customers at tables. I stood at the cash register for around 3 minutes the girl at the cash register never acknowledged me, never made eye contact, never said or did anything to make me think that she would take my order. 4 others were behind the counter and 3 appeared busy making sandwiches. I don't mind a wait, but to not even be acknowledged except for the customary "welcome to Firehouse," when I walked in is unacceptable customer service. No one said a word as I walked out. read more

This is my first time at a Firehouse Sub and my last. A vegetarian sub was a messy, falling apart glob of a mess. The mushrooms were not fresh, and the veggies were just part of a glob that might have been cheese. It was a very unappetizing experience that was thrown out partially eaten. I went in at 8:07pm it was three people working in the restaurant. All younger, two ladies one young man. No one spoke when I walked in. They stared at me instead. The young man comes to the register and tells me" before You order I wanted to tell you that we are doing a catering order right now and it will be 20 minutes before we can make your sandwich." I felt that was very rude and that he should spoken when I came in and greeted me rather than tell me you can't serve me. read more

I'm not sure who is running this business, but they need to be fired. If you're going to close the lobby, AT LEAST TAKE ORDERS THROUGH THE DRIVE-THRU. Apparently online ordering was the only option- but your "online ordering" isn't equipped to deal with allergies and specifics. But also pretty crappy that the building full of employees couldn't take an order, make it and deliver it car side- one at a time. I'm sure a lot of issues are blamed on Covid or lack of people wanting to work, but making it as hard as possible for someone to order food makes me never want to give my money to this company ever again- and it sucks. I've noticed a decline in this particular restaurant since I've lived here- but I still go back ‍ lesson learned. read more

Most of the time it is clean and up to par......they have great subs and salads.....the best is the chili and soups and they also have Mac and cheese.....they have a pick up window for convenience to call a head or order on line or third party....go to firehouse subs and eat a sub hot it is better while it's hot..... read more

I agree with the other negative posts above. Bad customer service and on top of that I was shamed for asking for hot sauce when my sons and I asked for hot sauce. Was told that we had to buy it. I then had to ask for the "house" fireman's sauce and informed that I could have one. I'll never go back. Tried this place several weeks ago with a friend and really enjoyed my sandwich. Decided to go back yesterday around 3PM and the experience was not the same. While standing in line to be served, the staff manager actually yelled at one of the associates for putting too much meat on a sandwich that she was preparing. A few minutes later, another associate came in and told her that a fellow employee would be late. With no regard for the customers, the manager went into a rage expressing her disapproval of the situation. She could later be heard having a discussion with one of her subordinates about another employee's hair and work ethics; go figure!!! Moreover, I heard all of this because it took approximately 15 minutes to get my sandwich. read more

I ordered online since otherwise the only option is to go inside to order a to-go order. The sign on their pick up window makes it abundantly clear it is ONLY to be used to pick up orders already made by phone or online. The wording could be just a bit more polite but whatever. I ordered online (and paid) and was informed my order would be ready at 1:20 pm (a 20 minute wait for a sandwich but ...). I arrived at the pick up window at 1:25 pm and there were 2 cars in front of me. I waited until 1:50 pm to get my order. One car that had been in line in front of me left so it would probably been even later if they had decided to stay in line. I gave the girl at the window my name, she handed me the sack with my sandwich and promptly closed the window. No thank you, have a good day, nothing. I drove off with my sandwich. The sandwich was ok, just ok. It would have been nice to have a napkin or something but just a sandwich and a single pickle. A rather small sandwich and one skinny pickle spear. Sad. I wanted to give this place a good rating but it is bad, really bad. read more

We were visiting in La Grange and stopped in at Firehouse for lunch. They have a large number of sandwiches to choose from. I decided on a Club. I started to order the small but decided on the medium. I got what I would call two nice size sandwiches. I probably should have ordered the small but I did enjoy it. read more

Food was ok but getting a 1 for management. Ordered online. Live 15 minutes away and when I got home noticed something was missing. Called to report this and instead of getting an apology, heard manager tell the boy on the phone with us that we should have checked our bag before we left and that there is a sign on the window to do so. When we spoke with her she was rude and hung up on us, twice. We understand mistakes happen-not a big deal, but the way the manager responded to it was extremely rude. Horrible horrible horrible service! I dont know if the woman was the manager or not but she was yelling at the people working there. The way she was yelling at them led me to believe they are all related but still dont bring your family or personal problems into wk. I stood at the register waiting to order with 3 men and 2 women behind the register not even acknowledging that i was standing right there for 4-5 mins. They saw me but didnt say anything until they were done with their convo. The one woman was yelling at the other people bc apparently she left her toothbrush in the bathroom and no one had seen it or put it back in the car and by this time another customer was in the restroom. This woman was acting like it was the other peoples fault that she left her toothbrush in the restroom. So I had to stand there and wait for them to end their convo before anyone acknowledged me. I have never been to this location before and I have only dined at this chain a hand full of times in my life, and this will be the last. I was telling the woman yelling what I wanted on my sandwich, which was only 3 things. She cut me off as I was telling her and she said what kind of sandwich do you want. I started to repeat myself. Again she cut me off and said what meat do you want? I told her that if she let me finish that I was just about to tell her bc I only wanted 3 things. She started to put the meat in the steamer and I was expecting her to ask if I wanted condiments but she starts to put the meat in the steamer and I said can I have the sandwich not heated please? She aggressively yanks the meat out and throws/slams it on the counter. They had only been open for 10 mins but there was no need for the nasty attitude. I told my gf about what happened. She said that ever since this location has opened, it has always had bad service and not a good rep. She asked me was it the mgr that had the attitude and I said I don't know but she was rude to the people working there and was bossing them around, so it seemed like she was. I do NOT recommend this location unless you are looking to only pay for 1 slice of tomato, 1 slice of meat, and a ton of lettuce piled onto 2 slices of thick bread that they want to call a sandwich.
