Really yummy! I have been searching for a an Italian sub and while still not like what I am used to on the East Coast these are very good subs. The staff is friendly and the subs are filling, I only ate half and was able to give the other half to a homeless man. The only downside is that the closest one to me is in Everett. When we first ordered from here last year it was amazing. But full sandwiches made right the first time. Since then each visit has been a let down and after yesterday we have made the final decision we will not order again. They have barely any topping except mayo which is always way too plentiful. My second order was delivered by GrubHub. I specifically ordered a combo with my medium sandwich, hold the pickle. I entered Fritos for the chips and since there was no place to enter my drink order I clearly indicated that I wanted a Diet Coke in the notes. However, I ordered their "Engineer" sandwich the other day which was pictured with an amazing amount of mushrooms and when it was delivered there were a total of 5 mushroom pieces on my sandwich. This was my first time and what a disappointment. Typical franchise, the food never looks the same as in the photos. Now, don't get me wrong, I think it's great this place helps support my brothers and sisters in EMS jobs and the military. I would think you would want people to come back. My wife and I were on a mission to find a good pastrami sandwich and so we ordered a large to share. We got our order and it was cut in half. One portion was missing half the meat. The sandwich was also missing mustard and the jalapeños we ordered. The kid in the black shirt which I assumed he was in charge got a bit of an ear full from me. He apologized and used the excuse they're under staffed and we're to busy. The store was not that busy and there was 5 people behind the counter. Meh... tastes good, but I was sad to see how small the sandwiches are compared to pretty much any other sub place. The bread is super narrow and the meat is only half of what it looks like it would be- and I'm not talking pictures they show. I always expect it to be about half of what the pics show. I mean like a quarter of what their pics show. I asked them to put onions on my sandwich (a large) and there was LITERALLY one ring of onion on each half. I tried this place because my coworkers rave about how good it is, but the only way I would go back is if I order double or triple the meat, and this place isn't cheap to start with. I want to like this place. I've been to FHS twice...both times was underwhelmed by the sandwich & irritated at the wait. I ordered a small turkey bacon ranch today. $5.45 after tax. That wouldn't even be enough to feed my 11 or 13 year old. It was literally 3". The tomato was mush, couldn't even find lettuce, bacon was fatty (and I love fatty bacon) but this was cold within the 5 mins it took me to drive back to work & sit down. And I waited for 20 minutes for this tiny sandwich, not to mention the brusque attitude from staff-not rude, just like "hurry up". Like I said, I want to like this place, but there's a Panera across the street (with awesome bread), a Jimmy Johns down the road (that knocks out sandwiches in less than 3 minutes), Subway (which you've gotta be desperate) and Red Robin. I have eaten at this place at least 5 times since they opened and each time has been a disappointment. I always order food to go and once I open it at work/home, my food has been wrong EVERY time and they always forget my pickle, I ask for no Italian dressing instead its soaked and the bread is soggy..in the trash it goes, I ask for no onions or mustard, all I get is mustard and onions, I mean how hard is it to make a sandwich? Its not like they are building a space shuttle to the moon.. They are overly priced, they have 5-8 people working at a time and it takes more than 10mins to make a sandwich when I'm the only customer in there?, I really wanted to like this place, but they have disappointed me too many times, guess I will continue going to Panera Bread across the street for my sandwish/sub needs until something else comes along. read more

I counted, there were 9 people working and only 3 of us in line and it still took 23 min to get two $9 dollar subs that are not as big as subways by far. The staff was mostly young with one older man that they all snapped at to do their bidding. They were down rite mean to him. I'd compare them to Jersey Mike's...but maybe give the edge to this place right now since my last visit to JM's wasn't that great. Love their variety selection of hot sauces. They come in different flavors and spicy levels. I'm a condiment kind of guy and that's a major plus. I decided to try the "#10" and dude, no way. That thing was way too hot and made me uncomfortable. Instantly started sweating bullets. Funny thing is, I took of some it home in their little containers and tried it (just a dab and spreaded) on another sandwich and it was a bad idea. Luckily, I was at home to suffer... Anyway, definitely a must try if you haven't tried it and if you love sandwiches like I do. But be warned, their #10 hot sauce is pretty damn hot. read more

Noticed this place a few weeks ago and figured it was time to see what it was about..walked in and was surprised with decor. Very well decorated, bright and inviting. Right off the bat I saw the smokehouse cheddar brisket sandwich. For a fast food place the brisket was awesome, lots of flavor and the melted cheddar cheese on it was great. Both my dad and me ordered it and we were not disappointed one bit. 20 bucks for 2 meals not bad. I'm assuming it was the owner that we talked to but I was amazed to hear that a percentage of the profits go to the first responders fund for firemen and police officers, since 94 over 15 million has been donated from these franchises. Love the food. Love the service. Love that they have rewards and can order online! This place just opened mid Nov one block over from Target on Everett Mall Way. My husband and I didn't know what to expect since we didn't hear of this place before, but I saw a lot of cars in the parking lot so I figured it must be good! I liked that they had a lot of tables for dining in and is great for kids too. Everyone that works there is so nice and even came over to check up on us and offer our daughter a treat. Their high chairs have little fireman hats available for kids to put on and play with. Now let's get to the food. What can I say, FRESH is the word of the day here. The sandwiches are "sub" style with soft bread (we got the wheat option) and freshly sliced premium meats with many combinations. They even have a 500 and under calorie board. It's easy to see what you want since every menu item is well displayed with a picture. The gal at the register suggested the Steamer since it's the most popular so my husband got that and I had my eyes set on the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket and boy were we in sub heaven! It was the perfect amount of meat to bread and the flavor was AMAZING. The prices were good for what your getting - a premium meat sub sandwich so about $10 for a meal which includes chips and a drink and a couple dollars less for just the sandwich. If your in a hurry I would recommend their online order option since during lunchtime it got pretty busy. I'm happy to say this will be our new go-to sandwich place for sure! read more

I noticed this place a few weeks back and decided to check it out. I ordered for carry out to meet up with my husband for lunch last weekend and wow does this place beat everything else on Evergreen Way for lunch options. We tried the Club on a Sub and the Steak & Cheese, both were great. The only downside here is they seem to still be working out the kinks and training new staff because service was a bit slow. I like fire house subs. If you have never been to one please make a point to try one out. You will be not be disappointed. My favorite is the brisket but they have a few others that you can choose from. I know some will shun this franchise business because it is not local enough but having been to a few of these places the subs are delicious and at the end of the day that it is all that matters. Prices are about the same as Subway maybe slightly more in some cases but don't let that deter you from trying one of these franchises out. read more

This was an Uber Eats delivered order- 16 min from pick up to delivery. This was the most unfortunately moist sandwich experience ever. It was not vinegar. It was not pickle juice. It was water. The entire bread on 3 sandwiches was totally saturated with what tasted like water. The bread was totally inedible and falling apart entirely on the two larger "medium" subs and 3/4 saturated on the small. The meat was decent. The veggies were OK, and as ordered. Maybe the bread is just too soft and squishy to stand up to the slightest moisture for even a few minutes, IDK. But it wasn't like a huge amount of time before it was delivered soooo. Love this place! Looking for an ideal lunch that is fresh and quick and spot on - go and pick up a turkey bacon avocado sandwich (1/2) with a side salad. Always consistent, fresh and don't forget to ask for the pickle. Just love that pickle for some reason! The avocado on this sandwich (which I usually get on the side) is always fresh and chunky and yum! This is my spot on Saturday afternoon even when I am all by myself. Yesterday I did a new yoga class, hit the book sale at the Mill Creek library but all I could think of was the finale will be having my favorite sandwich at the Firehouse. I ordered a small Brisket and cheddar on WHITE bread. got Wheat. Gross. ordered light BBQ sauce meaning don't smother it. . got No sauce. Pretty dry sandwich. I love the Firehouse Steak and Cheese subs! They are my favorite! I love to add lettuce, mayo and tomato to mine! It's the freshest tasting philly cheese steak sub I've ever tasted! The staff is really friendly. Previously it would take forever just to get one sub, but on our most recent visit, the service was way faster. I hope they keep up that speed because I hate waiting so long for one sub. My kids also love the free pickles that come with the subs. My oldest loves the assortment of hot sauces that you can try.
