I'm only giving this two stars because the food was okay. Other than that, this is the worst fast food place I've ever been. You can expect to be stuck in the drive through for 20 minutes or more. 10-12 years ago, this place was good! I love the chicken spicy, and the onion rings they discontinued about the same time ago. I love other locations but Everett sucks. Dirty, usually out of white meat (I waited for 40 minutes because they forgot to drop the chicken and didn't realize until I went back in to ask how much longer. I've had HORRIBLE customer service when I didn't want the cold chicken that sat waiting for me (and other customer's without being kept under a heat source) because I was detained getting there and NO ONE answered the phone after 9 tries. This place is terrible. The location is going downhill fast. Cannot get a 'family' meal anymore on a delivery ... they shortchange delivery service (Grubhub) orders. We got a 12 piece chicken meal and all it came with was 2 tiny sides (for a meal that is supposed to feed 4-6) AND NO BISCUITS - now they charge $1.70 FOR EACH one. Add to that the chicken was incredibly greasy (far better in the past). And all this for the same price as the previous family meal. I ordered through the Popeyes app at 7:57 PM and arrived 20 minutes later. The drive-thru was packed, so I walked in to pick up my food. Right away, I noticed the counter was filthy--fries scattered everywhere, and the server had messy hair with no gloves on while handling food. I told her I was picking up an order, and she just said "okay" with no eye contact or confirmation. I watched her put chicken in a box and leave it on the counter, then later use that same box--cold and sitting out for 20-25 minutes--for my order. When I asked politely if I could get fresh chicken, she responded rudely, nagged loudly, and threw the food back on the counter. Her attitude was unprofessional and aggressive--she wouldn't even look me in the eye. She eventually replaced the chicken, but the bag was a mess, and as I walked out, another customer stopped me to say how rude she was. When I got home, I found that my Large Mac & Cheese was only half full. I called to speak to a manager, but no one answered. I've been a regular here, but this was completely unacceptable. So this is a follow up to my initial review. Please understand that this review is for all popeye's chickens, not just this particular location. I have visited several, and this was my latest visit As a sort of test, I wanted to see the quality to be had at each location and if it varied. The quality did not vary. They consistently served unacceptable food for the prices they are charging. Gone are the days when it was mostly chicken with some breading The tables have turned and now it is mostly breading with just some chicken. The manager at the everett location was very accommodating and very nice. However, the quality of the chicken still did not improve with the replaced meal. It was explained to me by the manager that the chicken is pre-cut when they get it. Some of the replacement pieces were two inches long and mostly breading. I attempted to call popeye's customer service to inquire. As to what has changed to make the quality of the meal go downhill. It is all automated and yeah, they end up sending a link to your phone, which leads to more dissatisfaction. I decided to look into things a little further and found out that it is owned by restaurant brands international. It appears their US office is shut down. They hide their phone number for their toronto location. When looking to see who restaurant brands international's parent company is, it shows 3G Capital, which I am very familiar with having worked for them at one point. 3G Capital's focus is to curb costs and cut corners no matter what. Popeyes has lost my business. My replacement meal is in the trash. If I was a franchise owner, I would be furious. Even fast food is an investment in dining these days, and nobody should be serving cheap (not inexpensive) quality garbage food like this. It's a waste of food. read more

I don't know his name but shaggy black hair glasses and was so disrespectful. they yelled at me for opening the door for a customer, and then they gave us ROCK HARD BUSCUITS. We literally were throwing rocks in the ocean today harder than the biscuits. We spent $85 , our Cole slaw was half filled and they didn't want to give us more. We had 6 people with us and are visiting from out of state, we were starving and exhausted and I about lost it. I got two piece spicy chicken and shrimp basket, side of mashed potatoes. I've been to Popeyes before. Many times. Fairly recently even, in the last few months. But this Popeyes was kind of ...terrible in comparison. Their fry was off. It was less noticeable in the chicken except that it looked uneven and splotchy, but on the shrimp! The shrimp was what I could only describe as gummy. Several of them had half the shrimp without batter, which made the shrimp extra tough. The seasonings were still excellent but boy was that rough. They also forgot to give me my cocktail sauce, which is mostly just sad for me. The mashed potatoes were fine. I think this place has some seriously abusive relationships in the back. There was a lot of yelling and threatening of throwing things. And my goodness it was a mess. Anyway, I guess I'll either drive down to Renton or skip Popeyes while I'm here in Washington. Instead what I got was a small little container that contained around 35% of what I usually get, and mind you a quarter pound you get in a BOX, not a small container. Second, they prioritize mobile orders and we watched order after order go out while they ignored our order and we sat there over heating. They were out of Diet Coke and out of honey for the biscuits. It's Popeyes. It's fast food. Why would expect top notch service from a fast food joint run mostly be teens? None of them provide that, so get over yourself and stop whining. Popeye is about the best fast food fried chicken in the US. I prefer (good) smaller individual restaurants for fried chicken, but this stuff is good in a pinch. After fixing their headset issue...the lady who took over is a champ! I'm not always the best at placing orders, and even more so when I'm not the only one in the car. But this lady caught it all and did it patiently! Even better is that they got the order right in the bag! Not one thing wrong at all. I could have driven off because they had a register switch and no one took my card before giving me my order...but the Army values I hold true to me said nope. Paid the bill and off we went. I wish they had more of these locations but, unfortunately this is the only one closest to our home and WHY did I drive just to come here?! First off, Strike One! They don't take orders inside (why, who knows). The staff was basically not really working and chatting a lot even though the drive-thru line was so long. So, I ordered at the drive-thru. I ordered the 10-piece meal and said half spicy/half mild. To my surprise, when I got home we couldn't tell the difference by glance and they all ended up being SPICY!!! So, basically 2 out of the 3 people had to eat leftovers and mashed potatoes because the chicken was spicy! BOO! Strike Two! Strike Three! Those biscuits were probably a week old! They were hard and a could toss them on the wall and they wouldn't break. Not fluffy, the mashed potatoes were average...Red beans & rice were good tho! Definitely, not a great 1st time experience. I'll stick to making my own chicken. One plus, the drive thru lady was at least pleasant. (SHE basically gets the 2 stars rave). I have very conflicting feelings about this place. The chicken sandwiches are bomb they start selling at 11 AM and 4 PM, so if you're pressed to get one I suggest showing up as close to those times as possible. With all the hype around a damn sandwich, I understand why limited quantities are available each day. If you're driving far CALL AHEAD OF TIME and ask if they still have some. A lot of people get pissed about this but it honestly makes sense. There's also an employees car parked in the drive thru preventing anyone from using it. I would think it's cause they don't want the parking lot turning into a nightmare with dine-in patrons coming and going fighting the drive thru line. Again, people get pissed about this but I get it. The inside was very clean. The woman who took our order seemed melancholy but wasn't bad service. We got there early and had to wait about 10 mins for our food. They have gender neutral restrooms which I love!! ON ANOTHER NOTE, SOMEONE IS GETTING PAID $15/HR BUT CANT PROOF READ SIGNS?!?!
