The food is great when it arrives - fresh. Their whole operations has a lot to desire. One customer waited 30 minutes for the 2 chicken sandwich combo. I waited the same smoking of time for the a family chicken combo. It is like they lack sufficient cooking stations to keep up with anything. Oh and check your order if you go take out. I called the following morning and the manager who was very helpful gave me another 9 piece which I picked up later that night I do have to say that the chicken that I picked up later in the night was 10 times better than the previous night but the night manager, I believe he must've been the assistant manager was rude, thoughtless and very arrogant, and should not be working with customers. This place is terrible. The location is going downhill fast. Cannot get a 'family' meal anymore on a delivery ... they shortchange delivery service (Grubhub) orders. We got a 12 piece chicken meal and all it came with was 2 tiny sides (for a meal that is supposed to feed 4-6) AND NO BISCUITS - now they charge $1.70 FOR EACH one. Add to that the chicken was incredibly greasy (far better in the past). And all this for the same price as the previous family meal. I ordered through the Popeyes app at 7:57 PM and arrived 20 minutes later. The drive-thru was packed, so I walked in to pick up my food. Right away, I noticed the counter was filthy--fries scattered everywhere, and the server had messy hair with no gloves on while handling food. I told her I was picking up an order, and she just said "okay" with no eye contact or confirmation. I watched her put chicken in a box and leave it on the counter, then later use that same box--cold and sitting out for 20-25 minutes--for my order. When I asked politely if I could get fresh chicken, she responded rudely, nagged loudly, and threw the food back on the counter. Her attitude was unprofessional and aggressive--she wouldn't even look me in the eye. She eventually replaced the chicken, but the bag was a mess, and as I walked out, another customer stopped me to say how rude she was. When I got home, I found that my Large Mac & Cheese was only half full. I called to speak to a manager, but no one answered. I've been a regular here, but this was completely unacceptable. So this is a follow up to my initial review. Please understand that this review is for all popeye's chickens, not just this particular location. I have visited several, and this was my latest visit As a sort of test, I wanted to see the quality to be had at each location and if it varied. The quality did not vary. They consistently served unacceptable food for the prices they are charging. Gone are the days when it was mostly chicken with some breading The tables have turned and now it is mostly breading with just some chicken. The manager at the everett location was very accommodating and very nice. However, the quality of the chicken still did not improve with the replaced meal. It was explained to me by the manager that the chicken is pre-cut when they get it. Some of the replacement pieces were two inches long and mostly breading. I attempted to call popeye's customer service to inquire. As to what has changed to make the quality of the meal go downhill. It is all automated and yeah, they end up sending a link to your phone, which leads to more dissatisfaction. I decided to look into things a little further and found out that it is owned by restaurant brands international. It appears their US office is shut down. They hide their phone number for their toronto location. When looking to see who restaurant brands international's parent company is, it shows 3G Capital, which I am very familiar with having worked for them at one point. 3G Capital's focus is to curb costs and cut corners no matter what. Popeyes has lost my business. My replacement meal is in the trash. If I was a franchise owner, I would be furious. Even fast food is an investment in dining these days, and nobody should be serving cheap (not inexpensive) quality garbage food like this. It's a waste of food. read more

Well I haven't had anything from this location but they got my order correct and it was almost hot and the chicken was crispy and moist. I had ordered the three piece signature chicken with the Cajun mash potatoes, I was surprised at how much I liked the side it had a really authentic Cajun spice to the gravy only problem was it was a small serving.I also shared a six piece ghost pepper wings with my son, I found them to not be that hot and a little overcooked so kinda meh for them, the biscuit was just ok kinda dry coulda used some of the Cajun gravy. I got two piece spicy chicken and shrimp basket, side of mashed potatoes. I've been to Popeyes before. Many times. Fairly recently even, in the last few months. But this Popeyes was kind of ...terrible in comparison. Their fry was off. It was less noticeable in the chicken except that it looked uneven and splotchy, but on the shrimp! The shrimp was what I could only describe as gummy. Several of them had half the shrimp without batter, which made the shrimp extra tough. The seasonings were still excellent but boy was that rough. They also forgot to give me my cocktail sauce, which is mostly just sad for me. The mashed potatoes were fine. I think this place has some seriously abusive relationships in the back. Popeye is about the best fast food fried chicken in the US. I prefer (good) smaller individual restaurants for fried chicken, but this stuff is good in a pinch. Sadly both times we've order from this location they have been missing an item and/or sent the completely wrong items. I went in tonight and the poor woman had to handle many walk up customers, then the digital online customers came in with their phones. there were like 10 people there waiting as she tried to take my order. I had to wait 10 minutes before she even was able to take my order. She was overwhelmed. She did a great job and kept her poise. I couldn't do that for long. She deserved about double what she was making. This had been the case every time I go in there. Not enough workers and the ones that are there in the background are not doing much. I wish they had more of these locations but, unfortunately this is the only one closest to our home and WHY did I drive just to come here?! First off, Strike One! They don't take orders inside (why, who knows). The staff was basically not really working and chatting a lot even though the drive-thru line was so long. So, I ordered at the drive-thru. I ordered the 10-piece meal and said half spicy/half mild. To my surprise, when I got home we couldn't tell the difference by glance and they all ended up being SPICY!!! So, basically 2 out of the 3 people had to eat leftovers and mashed potatoes because the chicken was spicy! BOO! Strike Two! Strike Three! Those biscuits were probably a week old! They were hard and a could toss them on the wall and they wouldn't break. Not fluffy, the mashed potatoes were average...Red beans & rice were good tho! Definitely, not a great 1st time experience.
