Fast and friendly. I know it's a national franchise but these guys are good. My order was accurate and delicious.

I hadn't been to a firehouse in forever, but I was craving a meatball sub and they happen to be located two doors down from my Physical Therapy office. It was just before lunch time so they were pretty busy when I came in. I placed my order pretty quickly but had a solid 15-20 minute wait for my sandwich. They were working hard, but there were just a lot of people in there. I took it home and dove in right away. I have to say the sub was just as good as I recall having it in the past. This location isn't far from me so I could definitely see myself stopping in again.

Visited this location on Friday evening for dinner with my husband. I appreciated the cleanliness of this location and the food was great, but the service, not so much. We walked in and were able to go straight to the counter to order. We were not greeted and the employee had on of her arms in her shirt and was very hard to understand with her mask on and the plastic covering between us. She barely spoke to us and you could tell, she did not want to be there. We were the only ones in there when we sat down. It was strange we waited twenty minutes to get our food. We went to get our drinks and ther was no ice. I apprached the employee we ordered from and she was leaning up againist the register and said she would get someone to get ice. The sub was great, but customer service goes a long way. I heard the manager after people started coming in and he started taking orders and was on top of it and so nice. I told my husband it would of been nice to have him as our cashier. He did come over to our table to thank us for choosing them and asked if we needed anything. I thought that was a nice touch.

The staff aren't wearing masks, so I walked away without ordering. It's a shame they don't value the health of others.

It was so good I had to go back! The Brunch bowl is what I order both times ( I wish I tried something else) and the "grit balls" were delicious. Service was fast and prompt even with a full house. And the woman at the counter (she was in the kitchen and ran food, greeted guests as they pick up their food, possibly a chef) was EXTREMELY nice and outgoing. She seemed to really enjoy her position and kept order in the kitchen. Food was delicious if I haven't already said so, so much flavor, a Carolina quality kinda spot! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional, yet casual place to dine. Thank you Grit Counter!

The parking lot was packed, and most tables were already taken when we walked in, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and then grab a seat while they bring the food out to you. The menu is extensive, with plenty of dishes built around grits (as the name suggests). I went with the chicken and waffles, and it was loaded with flavor--crispy fried chicken breasts, a Belgian waffle, chunks of bacon, and a blueberry compote on the side. The whole plate was enormous; I definitely didn't finish it. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fish platter with French fries, and it was equally generous in size. We also started with the grit fritters as an appetizer, and they were fantastic--crispy on the outside and a nice surprise inside. Overall, the food was really on point with big, satisfying portions. The waitstaff seemed super busy but stayed friendly and attentive. The only downside for me was having to bus your own table at the end. Prices for lunch felt a little high at first glance, but when you consider the huge portions, they're pretty reasonable. We'll definitely be heading back soon.

While we were in the mood for lunch, our breakfast items were soooo good. I am very picky with eating breakfast at lunch spots cuz they can easily be a miss, but this place hit the spot and then some. I ordered their Bacon, Egg, and Cheese roll and it was gooey, hot, and delicious. My husband ordered their breakfast burrito and ate every bite. Beware that it comes with jalapeños! The nice lady taking our order recommended their Hangover sandwich but I am not a big fan of hash-browns in my sandwiches but my husband's burrito was super similar to it. Seems like a family business. There is no dine-in seating inside, and there are a couple benches and chairs but no tables outside the storefront either, so plan to do take-out. Super small and humble spot, very clean and our meal with two drinks and two entrees was $28.50, abt 8.50 per entree and drinks were $3 each. We can't wait to be back for lunch!!

I ordered the duck BLT with fries cooked in duck fat, and wow--easily one of the best meals I've had in a long time.
