The bread makes the sandwich and they are making it onsite. Prices were very decent and the location in Mt. Pleasant is easy to navigate. They also have take and bake pizza, pasta and bread ready to go and a couple pantry staples and bottles of wine if you're in a pinch. Glad to support this little local sandwich stop. So I'm definitely overdue -- and they deserve a great one! First off, the menu is HUGE. If you can't find something you want to eat here, I'm not sure anybody can help you. They have an incredible variety of sandwiches, build-your-own options, breakfast items, burgers, cheesesteaks and so much more. It's the sandwich I keep coming back for. And then there are the CHIPS. I'm a bit of a chip fanatic, and Mozzo understands me. They have all kinds of unusual flavours -- Maui Onion, Funky Fusion and plenty of others. Grab a different bag every time and pair it with your sandwich. The Funky Fusion chips with the Fusion sandwich might be flavour overload, but I'm willing to take that risk. They also have a great selection of iced teas, a coffee station and refrigerators packed with cold drinks, so there are plenty of choices to go with your food. But what REALLY makes Mozzo special is the team. This place can get busy -- and for good reason -- but even when there's a line, these guys absolutely crank. There always seems to be a whole crew working behind the counter, and they operate like clockwork. Orders are moving, food is coming out, everyone knows what they're doing, and somehow they're still friendly while doing it. That says a lot about how well this place is managed. The manager is absolutely fantastic, the staff are always friendly, and after coming here for years, my wife and I are always treated like family. To me, that kind of service is every bit as important as the food. Great food. Huge selection. Fast service. Awesome staff. Great atmosphere. No problem, I stayed and ate it. Overall the sandwich was ok, with a soft warm bun. The melted cheese covered the turkey and ham below. I can't say the sandwich was very flavorful, so the Formula 45 sauce added flavor. Before leaving, I used the restroom and was not surprised by how dirty it was. Lots of dust on the top of toilet tank and the handicap bars. Then residual dried water spots under the paper dispenser and wall where the trash can was sitting. No effort here. I really don't like giving a review like this, but it was disappointing. I have visited Groucho's in the Columbia area and they were much better. While food taste and value usually come first, the appearance (cleanliness) also contributes to the experience. I've read other reviews that share similar experiences, so this is not a solitary moment. Hopefully feedback helps, maybe owners/managers will see the need to react to concerns. Unfortunately, I will not likely return.
