ima be real I like cook out but it's definitely that 2am post club kinda place yknow. The quesadilla lacked cheese and meat but the chicken nuggets, fries & ranch were chefs kiss. Also the oreo milkshake is tasty, so thickkkkkk. also it's good af in general for the price I got all this for under $10

If you love going to the DMV, then you will LOVE coming to eat at Cook Out. Our hungry souls detoured here after stopping by another fast food chain which was closed. This was the only place in the vicinity that was open when we arrived and decided to give this local spot a try. PROS - The cook out trays. I got the jr tray where you can mix and match items (a main, 2 sides, and a drink) all for less than $6. Some of the sides are unique like a chicken wrap, chicken nuggets or a quesadilla - They are known for their shakes and have over 35 flavors to choose from. Didn't get to try them but they looked good. Whether they had all the flavors available is another story... - Can't beat the price CONS - The wait is insane where the drive thru line extended out to the main road. There were only 2 employees working the drive thru line for over 20+ cars and I think from the time we entered to the time we exited with our food, it was almost 40 minutes. - Food is very mediocre. My hot dog was stale and burnt. The sides were just ok. Unless you're desperate or have a lot of time to burn, I'd avoid this location.

I ordered an 2Hot dog tray with Cajun fries and coleslaw as my two sides this is what I got as a side of coleslaw... this is a rip off for 15$

This was 9 bucks. Could barely hear the cashier in drive thru. Go to canes 1 minute away, better quality and more food.

The worst fast food I've had this year. Heck it's the worst fast food I've eaten since I can remember. It's the cheapskate version of Wendy's. I'm giving them two stars only because the milkshake was worth the stomach space. On the last night of my Airbnb stay in Mount Pleasant there was a kerfuffle with dinner. A cheese malfunction which ruined dinner and had to be trashed. We're talking moldy cheese which could have ruined our travel plans of the following day. So... what to do when you're on vacation and dinner is spoiled? Drink more! Good thing the Cook out was a few blocks from our rental. It was a cheap Uber ride to/from. It was late in Mount Pleasant and nothing is open at 2 am, well except the Cook out. So.. we hit it. Looking at their menu, it's as if they have a wealth of food and want to throw it at you, cheaply. The menu is inexpensive and when ordering a combo instead of giving you one side, they want to give you two. And the second can have a protein included if you wish. ie chicken nuggets, a corndog or insert protein quesadilla. Combination platters are inexpensive in comparison to say Mcdonalds or in fact, Wendy's. The three of us ordered a bonanza of foods. Spicy chicken sandwich platters, a double cheeseburger, some other junk and a couple milkshakes to wash it down. Final verdict? I thought it was all disgusting. I could not finish my chicken sandwich. The meat did not sing of quality and the crispy fried patty was heavily salted. The look of it once unwrapped was not appetizing. The fries were definitely the frozen variety and tasted like they had been reheated from earlier in the day. BLECH! All I could stomach was the milkshake which was utterly divine. I asked my nephew to ask if they could make me a "chocolate mint", instead he ordered me a mint chocolate chip. What's the difference you ask? A half and half rather than all one flavor. My cousin and nephew thought the food was passable. We had spent the late night hours soaking in a hot tub and were feverishly hungry. I had a KIND bar stowed away in my luggage, it did the job the Cook out couldn't. Looking at their website for the first time today I'm realizing that they make fresh never frozen hamburgers! I could have had that instead! Why isn't that advertised on their menu... Arrrggghhh!

Several people had told us how great the food was, so it felt like the perfect opportunity to finally check it out -- and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, every single person working there was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. You can tell the staff works really well together, and that kind of energy makes a difference in the overall experience. We started with the wings and onion rings, which were both delicious and a great way to kick things off. Three out of the four of us ordered the Barburger, while one person got the Company Salad. The Barburger was smashed and cooked perfectly with that great crispy edge you hope for in a smashburger. The Company Salad completely surprised us in the best way -- the salad itself was fresh and flavorful, but the dressing? Absolutely crave worthy. We also tried the regular fries, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw. The sweet potato fries and slaw were a little mediocre compared to the rest of the meal, but honestly, everything else was so good that it hardly mattered. Overall, the food absolutely lived up to the hype. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and some seriously delicious burgers. Definitely give this place a try.

We stopped in during happy hour and scored a $5 margarita (huge win), and overall the prices are very reasonable. I ordered the original burger and it was incredible--especially with their signature Heavy's sauce. We also tried the onion rings, which I don't usually go for, but these completely changed my mind. They were super crunchy and packed with flavor. And of course, I have to mention--they're pet friendly with plenty of outdoor seating, which is always a huge plus for us. Ambiance is nice and inviting! Inside isn't very big just keep that in mind. This is a must-try spot!

They have an inside bar with lots of activity and TVs. Inside the men's bathroom had two urinals and two basins. Also there is an outside bar with three TVs, one behind the bar and two in the covered entertainer's area. We sat outside so we walked to that outside bar with the friendly, efficient, effective server. We also ordered food, the Butcher's Burger and a set of single ribs with your choice of sauces. Unfortunately the ribs were overcooked and thus tough to bite off and then bit chewy. The burger was quite good, with cheese and sliced pork belly to upgrade any usual burger, but this meat was thick and also had slight bit of tomato jam. Other than the underwhelming, overdone preparation of the ribs, it was a good time for all as people came and went. IMPORTANTLY, on this date, they were selling cooked oysters in small groups ALL YOU CAN EAT (when's the last time you heard that?) for $30. The profit on the oysters is going to a Down's Syndrome support group. Excellent!
