I was there on 08/25/24 @ 5pm after a very long day. The two "ladies" working should be released of their duties. I am certain they did something to my sandwich that made me ill. They were rude and they laughed as they handed me my subs. Giving each other looks as I ordered. I had to say hello after her approach was "what do you want". There is something very wrong with these two people! That restaurant is always empty and I have zero doubts these two are part of the reason why. I'm always down for getting a sub. Recently every time after the gym on the radio I always hear about firehouse's new sub the pub steak sub. The service at firehouse was good like usual, what I particular like about fire house subs is that they donate money to fire houses and they give you a pickle with your sandwich. I got the large pub steak sub because I was feeling mighty hungry that evening. When I got it I drove home to devour this sandwich. The sandwich looked really good, lots of meat, cheese and crunch from the crispy onions. However the taste was not as good as the appearance. The first bite was nice and cheesy and so was the second and third. Then I realized all I could really taste was the cheese, and the bread. The crispy onions got soggy and lost in the cheese sauce. As for the meat, there was not too much taste to it. Overall, fire house sub is generally really good. Get any of their regular sandwiches and you would be pretty content for going there. However for their new special pub steak sub I was not a fan. I would definitely go back and get my usual sandwich which is the hook & ladder or their Italian. read more

With so many sandwich shops in the area, I've been waiting to try this one. I was able to easily make a chicken substitution for the the Philly Cheesesteak, which made me pleased. The medium 8'' was enough for me and I was barely able to finish it. The sandwich was decent, but nothing to really rave about. Staff is friendly and the subs are pretty good. I've had the NY Steamer and the Brisket Sandwich so far. While they weren't out of the world subs, they were solid enough and reasonably priced enough that I will be a regular. One thing though, I believe most of these man-subs have only meat and cheese in them. Wouldn't expect anything less. The pickle is good too read more

The firefighters deserve better. These subs look like jersey mikes but taste as bland as subway. The people who work there do a perfectly fine job, but there's no point to go here instead of jimmy johns, Jersey mikes, or another j named sub shop. read more

The service is downright awful. I have now waited for lunch longer than 30 minutes 3 times in a row. Don't get me wrong, the food is fine. It just takes absolutely forever to get your food. I even tried ordering online and I still waited 20 minutes past when it was supposed to be ready. Won't be going back hoping for faster service again. read more

I was not aware all subs were hot. I ordered the super sub and opened it up when I arrived home to soggy bread and warm mayo all over microwaved cold cuts. I purchased a large and it went into the trash after two bites. Just nasty. There should be better signage because most people don't anticipate a hot sub unless requested it unless it's a cheesesteak or something similar. We waited for fifteen minutes for our order had to ask for kids that fit as nothing had been refilled by the drink machine. All on all, $48 for wasted food and we got the bonus if listening to the staff bicker while I waited for my warm, soggy sub. read more

This was my first time to this chain and it had come highly recommended. I came on a Thursday afternoon and the restaurant was packed. It was definitely a 'lunch-time' crowd but also could tell that it was just busy. period. We were greeted by the 4-5 employees and we weren't rushed to place our order. I got the meatball sandwich and was a bit shocked that the sizes were either 8" or 12". I got the 8" and was unable to finish it. Excellent hot subs and polite staff. Definitely should try this out if you're in the area. However the prices are a bit steep.

I usually ask what do you recommend as a first-timer to see how far they'll go with suggestions but I ended picking the employee's favorite, the hero (roast beef, turkey, ham, Melted provolone) . And boy did it save my day. Though I spent ~$13 on the sandwich including drink and chips which is quite pricey for sandwiches, the quality of the meat, freshness of the bread, and portion-size definitely made up for it. Taste. I'm pretty sure they more sugar in their dough than most sandwich chains because it's definitely a sweet sandwich (especially if you get mayo). It adds a nice flavor, however, when paired with the savory meats. Overall - a well-made, filling, and satisfying sandwich. read more

Good enough food. The meat quality does not taste like it is high quality meat. Our subs were steamed to "fluff" up but the taste was off. Service was great and the college looking workers were all polite and able to answer our questions. Give it a try if you like steamed cheap lunch meat. read more
