It came in an aluminum tray on top of a piece of paper. The Sub on one side cut in half anf the fries on the other side. I was first impressed by their fresh and soft bread, then by the quality of their meat and ingredients, and lastly by their fries. Their texture was crispy and light to allow you to eat them all without feeling heavily full. I immediately downloaded their app to take advantage of their reward program because for sure I knew I would return. I found out that they also offer catering and brought home a brochure about it. First off, any restaurant that serves up a nearly 18" sub as the LARGE is a winner to me. Try their turkey sub with the stuffing and cranberry sauce. It's Thanksgiving dinner on bready goodness. Very well done and anytime I have been in there, they are super courteous and provide excellent service. I've only eaten their food via takeout, so I can't say much to the ambiance to their restaurant, but it's nice and offers plenty of room inside. After moving here a few years ago, made my way to this lovely shop with my sister. The two staff members working were exceptionally friendly. We both ordered sandwiches that are favs-classic cheesesteak and the Bobbie. I had to decide on hot or cold and though I ordered cold (Bobbie). It means I'll have to go back to try it hot. It was very tasty and I could only eat half. My sister ate her whole sandwich and wished she hadn't it was so big! We had chips and sodas with it to make it full meals. Went to the store looking to get a couple sandwiches, we had heard good things. I had a simple order, classic cheesesteak add sweet peppers, mayo and extra cheese. My wife went to order and the guy at the register was rude, off put and impatient. Tossed us to another person because my wife wasn't sure of what he was asking. He had another person working there that started running through every ingredient on the sandwich. We know what the sandwich has on it, we want to add these things not be asked a bunch of questions. Woof, bought a small cheesesteak combo with sweet peppers (even said it on the ticket) cashier walked away after ringing me out without even handing me a cup. Had to reach over the register to get my own. By the time my food came out sandwhich was hot but no peppers. For $15 it was not with it and at this point I wasn't going to bring up the peppers I ate the lackluster sandwich headed out, very empty restaurant employees didn't even say that's for dining with us when leaving. I honestly came into this place thinking I'd get a great sandwich. I may have but I'll never know because I was afraid to consume it(more on that later!). The service was terrible and rather rude. I understand we all have a bad day and get short staffed but we shouldn't be huffing and puffing and acting frustrated like your worker was Friday around 1:00pm! I can brush off a little rudeness from a worker as it's tough out there but I can't excuse the worst part and that is that I observed sandwiches being touched with no gloves! We've been here 3 times, and we've enjoyed it. My husband is a fan of Wawa's Thanksgiving sandwich, but since there aren't any nearby a coworker recommended that we try the Bobby at Capriotti's. It's turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. He says it's delicious. I like the Capistrano which is pastrami and coleslaw. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. The workers have been friendly. I would give them a higher rating but once I ordered the turkey with coleslaw. I had the same experience as another reviewer. I was given tuna salad instead or turkey. I like this place. First, it's a sub shop. No traditional three-decker clubs, in other words. They also serve soups and salads, however. The place is clean and cheerful, with the sandwich prep on the right and a row of tables going down the left wall. I found the service to be quick and friendly. I ordered the small tuna sub, and it was decent, though the tuna salad didn't blow my skirts up. The best thing on the sandwich were the sliced tomatoes with delicious seasoning generously sprinkled on top. Loved the fresh bread. I'll be happy to return and try another menu item. I am absolutely happy they opened up a Cappriottis here in Roanoke. The Bobbie (I call it my Thanksgiving fix on a roll) is fabulous and the Capistami is to die for. And by far the best large Cheesesteaks (I'm from South Jersey originally, so I know my hoagies) in Roanoke. My first sandwich from Capriotti's- a medium Capastrami- was a real disappointment. The bread was fresh, and the pastrami was lean, but those were really the only positives. My first photo shows one half of the sandwich, exactly as it was prepared, with no changes on my part. My second photo shows the Capistrami as depicted on their menu. The amount of pastrami was adequate, but not generous. Slaw was not particularly good, and it was placed in small dabs along the bun. It was almost impossible to taste or find any Swiss cheese, and there was no Russian dressing that I could detect. This made for a dry sandwich with surprisingly little flavor. Ingredients stopped a couple of inches short of the ends of the bun. I consumed a lot of bread, a little pastrami, and not much else. The medium Capistrami sandwich costs $12.99. With tax and a 15% tip (I ordered take-out at the counter), my bill totaled $14.22. Based on this meal, I won't be returning. I'd rather go to Macado's and pay $10.62 for their Lone Ranger, which includes generous amounts of hot pastrami, corned beef, cole slaw, and Swiss cheese- and which comes with a side. read more

Definitely not your average sub place and please don't compare them. They are unique in their signature Flavored Subs. And worth the price. Their Rolls are fresh and soft every time you go. Two of my Favs are the Bobby and the Hot Capastromi. The Cheesteak with sweet/hot peppers is really good too with all the cheese melted in. I ordered the homemade turkey sandwich and it was dry and tasteless. Definitely needed some seasoning on it. I tasted oregano and lettuce. I'd rather have deli turkey than this. You need a gallon of water to get it down. If you don't know how to bake a turkey, just order deli meat. That wasn't it at all. Terrible!They overcooked the hell of that turkey.
