Good place to get a nice toasty sandwich that is made quick and fresh. I ordered the Hook and Ladder on wheat (ham and turkey). The people working here are pretty friendly and we're able to make the sandwich pretty quick. You can either choose to eat inside or take it to-go.

Love their subs. Very yummy and would eat it again. Just don't like how unprofessional some of the workers are.

It was okay. Italian is all ham. No flavor. Salad was good. Prices high when you consider the lack of flavor. Cute decor.

For this review, though, we'll stick to the meat (& bread, cheese, veggies and condiments) of the matter. In short: yes. Very much yes! My wife ordered the Aunt Tillie's Club, which she saw online and was the impetus for our visit, whereas I waffled between the tuna melt and the Aunt Tillie's Special (basically a grinder), eventually settling on the latter. Both of us were in heaven: sizeable portions, fresh bread, just enough condiments, and plenty of toppings to go around! My wife thought she was going to have to take a least half of it home, then changed her mind and powered through, leaving nothing behind! We dined just outside the restaurant proper, on one of the patio tables in the "mall", but there is plenty of seating inside (just not enough to accommodate the rush, it seems), plus a quaint little pub at the back that is easy to miss, but adds another layer to an already charming sandwich shop. We were both so impressed by the entire experience, that we are guaranteed to return, likely sooner than later! Very recommended!

The café itself is simple, clean, and cozy, with a small outdoor seating area available. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. On a previous visit, I tried the elk burger, which was excellent. This time, I ordered the roast beef sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The bread was lightly toasted, the portion of meat was generous, and the sandwich itself was hearty and satisfying. Service was quick and efficient, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch. While the space is modest, it is well-maintained and comfortable. They also operate a butcher shop next door, which has become one of my favorite places to purchase quality meats--I plan to review that separately in the future. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

We got lucky and pulled into the last open spot. There were a good amount of people inside but we were seated right away. They have a little shop area in the front that was super cute too. Their menu is pretty large but in the best way. There's literally something for everyone from spring rolls to pho to banh mi. My friend and I each got our own DIY spring roll set and I got a cup of beef pho broth with an order of rice noodles to make a mini bowl of pho for myself on the side. The spring roll set comes with 4 sheets of rice paper, fresh veggies (lettuce, basil, cucumber, pickled carrots), rice noodles, your choice of protein (we chose pork sausage), and dipping sauce. The pho broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The spring rolls came out amazing and were so filling. My only suggestion would be to have the carrots shredded instead of sliced to get a more even distribution within the spring rolls. But overall it was a fantastic meal. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, with a comfortable layout that works just as well for a quick lunch as it does for a relaxed sit-down meal. Service is consistently friendly and efficient, and the food comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor every time. My usual orders rotate between two favorites. The #74 Cơm Bì Sườn Chả is a must. Perfectly grilled pork chop with great char, paired with shredded pork skin and Vietnamese meatloaf, served with rice that soaks up all the flavors. It's hearty, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. When I'm craving soup, I always go for the #40 Phở Tân Tân Đặc Biệt (Phở Special). The broth is rich and comforting, loaded with beef meatballs, eye-round steak, brisket, flank, fatty brisket, soft tendon, and tripe. It's one of those bowls that hits every note and keeps me coming back. A nice bonus is their house sauces. They're so good that they actually sell them, and you can even find them at local grocery markets nearby, which says a lot about how popular they are. If you're looking for consistently great Vietnamese food in Beaverton with solid service and a clean, modern atmosphere, Tan Tan Cafe & Delicatessen is an easy recommendation.

Elephants is a bright, airy, and inviting space with yummy treats, meals, and fun gifts. As we're new to the area, we weren't sure where to find high-quality Italian deli meats. I love their focaccia, and we were delighted to find a small but mighty selection of imported Italian deli meats. Our favorites are the mortadella and hot coppa. On Sunday, my partner chose the staff pick of the day: Levoni salami- a must try! The deli folks are artisans! They slice and package the meats to perfection. It's like opening a gift when we get home to assemble our sandwiches. All of the peeps working at Elephants are friendly and knowledgeable. I got some pro tips on pairings when they cut the focaccia for me! We also picked up some macarons- chocolate, Earl Grey, and animal cracker flavors. I was silly-happy when they had Earl Grey macarons this time! Look forward to going there in the morning, trying a coffee drink and pastry, and enjoying the adorable patio. I had gelato at NW 22nd, so I know that pistachio flavor is molto bene. I look forward to enjoying some gelato at this location, too.

They're open on Mondays, which is rare since many restaurants are closed, so it was nice to try it before leaving. My sister ordered the spaghetti and cheese with two large meatballs, garlic bread, and the Chicago beef with Italian sausage, and both were great. The meatballs were especially delicious. I just wish more were included, though extras are available to order. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich which was very cheesey and flavorful. Afterward, we noticed you can add pepperoni and make it a "Chicken Parmeroni," which sounds like a better option. The large antipasta salad with balsamic vinegar was fresh and tasty, and it's nice that you can choose your dressing . I really love the antipasta salad! Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!
