We're really thankful that we stopped in before booking for our upcoming large party. We would have been extremely disappointed if it was anything near what we were served. Appetizer and both entrees were bad. The service was slow, which is understandable at times, but the food was awful, especially considering the cost. We were very surprised, as we had dined here in the past and it was okay. I can honestly say I don't think there is any way we would ever return and we're very glad we did a trial run before booking a party. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but after spending over $60, my intention is simply to save others from having the same experience. Other observations: tables were bussed very slowly, if at all, and the windows were noticeably dirty. Overall, the place seems to be struggling, and unfortunately it shows. Showed up on a Saturday night expecting to have a wait but was pleased that that was not the case. The front room is a bar area with TVs and high top tables so we asked to be seated in the back room at a low top table. They also have a patio overlooking water, which would be nice on a cool evening. Ordered the fish and chips and the teriyaki chicken sandwich. Both were good. As I was googling good places to get a salad for a weeknight dinner with a friend I came across Firehouse Grills menu and was instantly sold when I saw the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad and $4.99 Margaritas on Mondays! I added shrimp to my salad and it was delish! I am a sucker anything goat cheese and this was perfectly paired with apples, cranberries and hot honey. The service was great, but in all honesty, the marg was lacking it was watered down and I'm glad I didn't pay a ton for it. Going here for a private event was nice. The room we were in was located away from everything and allowed for us to feel secluded from the restaurant. With that, our menu options were limited. This is the third time that we've tried to go back and give it another chance just because we like the atmosphere, but that was a bad move on our part. Firehouse Grill is near Embassy Suites and a group of 15+ people decided to walk there for dinner. We didn't have any issue being seated (thankful). Our group snagged a few high top tables and we had a couple of team members taking our food and drink orders. The environment is casual and overall the restaurant is bright with several TVs scattered to watch sports. We did experience a lengthy wait in getting our first round of drinks as well as being asked about appetizers. So long in fact that we skipped the appetizers and moved ahead with ordering meals. However, once we got started the food came out quickly and we only had to hunt down one person's meal. I opted for the street tacos, picking chicken and pork. Delicious! And not overdone on the toppings, which I appreciated so that it didn't take away from the meat. We also loved the side of fries - and there's plenty to share. Plenty of beers on draft too! We had a large event in one of their banquet rooms. When it came time to order, I ordered last and our waitress did not turn my dinner order to the kitchen. I spoke to the manager who was dressed like he just left the gym. I would never recommend Firehouse Grill to anyone for any eating out reason. I booked a 50 person event in one of the private rooms. Everyone had an individual check with choices from a limited menu. The servers handled drink orders and menu selections so very well. The food came out dialed quick after ordering and was pretty tasty. Our waitress was very nice but oh so unorganized... I realize that our group was large and that there would be a wait but even tho all of us in the group are easy going it got to a point where everyone grew restless and was unnerved by the waitress. We received little pizzas with peppers on both. It was a tiny disappointment leading to a larger and larger one. The pizzas are now 8", but are still served on the original 12" pans. Service was friendly and attentive, but a bit slower during busy Saturday dinner hours; not a bad idea to order a couple drinks at a time if you're thirstier than usual. Variety of menu options from apps, salads, sandwiches, burgers to entree meals. Food was plentiful and flavorful, but not unique...good pub fare, perfect with drinks. Overall 3.5 rated experience for me, and meal costs $10-15pp. Tried a few apps...Pork Nachos, Pretzels, Quesadillas all tasty munchies. The only reason why I gave them a three was because the customer service is so excellent they were sweet as pie but the food was not up to par We all had the broccoli cheddar soup and had to ask for more cheese but then when we added the cheese it made the soup cold. When my 13 year old fell asleep in the booth waiting for the check, we went to the bar to try to pay for the meal- the bartender got our waitress who seemed surprised we were still there. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Rolls for the table as an appetizer and although they had good flavor, they came out cold and with all of our entrees. For my entree I ordered the Blackfire Wrap and I definitely wouldn't recommend. I couldn't locate or taste the caramelized onions or chipotle mayo at all. It was basically plain grilled chicken, diced tomatoes, and lettuce thrown into a tortilla. I also decided to go for fries instead of chips and the fries were sooooo dry and lacking in flavor. It most definitely was NOT worth $15. Others at my table had the Street Tacos and the Fish and Chips which did look better than mine. Lastly, service was slow and when we did get it, not very good. Down the street from where we work so frequented often. Service is normally good, some servers better then others. Food has been getting better over the years especially the apps. Wings are good. Love the Quesadillas. Excellent sandwiches. The local craft beers are usually excellent. Nice choices from local and out of state brewers. Always rotating so never gets old. They opened their own brewery but as of yet (Covid 19) could not try any. The only negative observation I have is that their owner (ex fire dude) is extremely stand offish, if he knows you fine,otherwise you do not exist. Never smiles as he walks around. We stopped in after driving six hours. We were happy to see that it was happy hour. We ordered one of the specials--pretzels. They were good. We noticed that we hadn't received the discount. The bartender said--"oh, you ordered two minutes early. I even looked at my watch." We were very disappointed that she could have let us know to wait a couple of minutes. There was no wait for a table and the hostess could not have been more pleasant. Overall, the service was quick and friendly, especially for a Friday at Happy Hour. Our food was delivered within 10 minutes of ordering, but I wish they would have taken longer and produced a higher quality experience. My burger was dry, chewy, and had zero seasoning. I left 3/4ths of it unfinished. The homemade fries looked promising but were cold and raw in the middle. This may have been more forgivable at a lower price point, but for $13 for a cheeseburger and a $2 up charge for fries, it's not the vibe. read more

My wife and I were here staying nearby while preparing to visit the Ark and Creation Museum. Being a home brewer and an avid beer connoisseur, I enjoy dining at Brewery Restaurants. Tonight, we visited Firehouse Grill and Brewery. For an appetizer, we ordered the fried pickle spears and I must say, they were pretty tasty. For my entrée, I ordered the Street Tacos and my wife ordered the Margarita Pizza. The pizza was outstanding, albeit light on fresh basil. My street tacos, while tasty, fell apart in my plate. The corn tortilla completely disintegrated leaving me with having to use my fork to eat my tacos. For desert, we ordered the lava cake; which was not a lava cake at all. Instead it was more like a brownie with dollop of vanilla / strawberry ice cream and drenched with chocolate syrup. Now for the beer: I like to order the beer flight when possible so I can sample the offerings before ordering my meal. Then, I'll order a pint of my preference to go as a paring with my meal. So I ordered the 4-flight offering, plus two additional offerings so I can sample a well rounded assortment. And, I'm not afraid to say, the beer really sucked. As a home brewer of many high quality beers, I understand beer and the many styles on the market and these beers did not even come close to their styles and were lame at best. So, to accompany my dinner, I was forced to order a Bells Two Hearted Ale; that's how bad these deers actually were. None of the 6 samplings I tried were adequate enough to accompany my tacos. So, I apologize to the head brewer for being so brash in my review, but you really need to understand what you're brewing before you serve it to your guests. I recommend reading any of the many books on brewing available today. Your business will appreciate your efforts. read more

I'm excited to go back and try more of their home brews. I got the Blue Ash Brown and it was caramel and hazelnut without too much bitterness. I also got the Southwest Salad which was fantastic with their chipotle ranch, and we know I'm a sucker for chipotle ranch dressing. The service could have been more attentive since it was 5pm on a Wednesday, not too busy of a dinner rush yet. My guest said their menu used to have a lot more items, but may have been scaled back since Corona. I'll come back to try more brews or a burger. Nice local spot. Bar had enough seats to sit away from the person next to you, saw a few guests walking around without their masks, but that might start being more common. read more
