Crispy Goat Cheese Salad and Margarita
    Kristina P.

As I was googling good places to get a salad for a weeknight dinner with a friend I came across Firehouse Grills menu and was instantly sold when I saw the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad and $4.99 Margaritas on Mondays! I added shrimp to my salad and it was delish! I am a sucker anything goat cheese and this was perfectly paired with apples, cranberries and hot honey. The service was great, but in all honesty, the marg was lacking it was watered down and I'm glad I didn't pay a ton for it. They have a wide variety and I'd like to go back and taste some other yummy looking foods on the menu!

Food was good, but not exceptional. Service was good. Pizza was real good. Lots of tvs for sports. Kind o f noisy.

Going here for a private event was nice. The room we were in was located away from everything and allowed for us to feel secluded from the restaurant. With that, our menu options were limited. The Salmon Club was great, but didn't hold together well. It is definitely something worth trying.

Firehouse Grill is near Embassy Suites and a group of 15+ people decided to walk there for dinner. We didn't have any issue being seated (thankful). Our group snagged a few high top tables and we had a couple of team members taking our food and drink orders. The environment is casual and overall the restaurant is bright with several TVs scattered to watch sports. We did experience a lengthy wait in getting our first round of drinks as well as being asked about appetizers. So long in fact that we skipped the appetizers and moved ahead with ordering meals. However, once we got started the food came out quickly and we only had to hunt down one person's meal. I opted for the street tacos, picking chicken and pork. Delicious! And not overdone on the toppings, which I appreciated so that it didn't take away from the meat. We also loved the side of fries - and there's plenty to share. Plenty of beers on draft too! Thanks to the team for taking good care of our large group. I'd recommend it for yours!

Excellent quick service. Attentive waiter. Highly recommend! Not many people on a holiday weekend...

The Firehouse Grill is a vibrant restaurant in Blue Ash with an ample menu. The variety is great: soup & salad, burgers and wings, gluten free dishes and much more. The food came out dialed quick after ordering and was pretty tasty. Our waitress was very nice but oh so unorganized... I realize that our group was large and that there would be a wait but even tho all of us in the group are easy going it got to a point where everyone grew restless and was unnerved by the waitress. Long wait for the drinks, wrong drinks, nowhere to be found at times. We waited forever (or at least 30 min) for our check to come back after handing her the credit card.

Solid place for local brewery crafts, drinks, food and watching sports. Outdoor patio was nice for larger groups or family; suggest to make reservations. Indoor dining had plenty of large TV's around the bar and restaurant. Weekend live music entertainment provided. Service was friendly and attentive, but a bit slower during busy Saturday dinner hours; not a bad idea to order a couple drinks at a time if you're thirstier than usual. Variety of menu options from apps, salads, sandwiches, burgers to entree meals. Food was plentiful and flavorful, but not unique...good pub fare, perfect with drinks. Overall 3.5 rated experience for me, and meal costs $10-15pp. Tried a few apps...Pork Nachos, Pretzels, Quesadillas all tasty munchies. Ordered a Reuben sandwich that was good; but think next time I'd like to try a burger or another sandwich or meal. Check out FG&B, spacious venue and good social gathering spot, expansive craft offerings, plus variety of food and bar drinks. Enjoy!

Some of us needed coffee. Some (not the parents :-) wanted something more mellowing :-). Enter Higher Gravity on Summit Parkway. They have a full menu of (soft) coffees and teas, a full bar, and a "bottle store" of more spirited beverages. The coffee was strong and smooth, some with dairy, some with oat milk! Almond and coconut "milks" were also available. Espresso drinks, too. Nice! They made me a lovely, even smoother, black coffee with bourbon to sip. Another got an ice-cold Weldwerks Orange Creamsicle sour, flavored true to its name. Street parking is a little sparse, but several spaces right in front are for takeout, so we found a spot easily. There are some seats out front, and the playground is right across the street with several picnic tables outside of the kids-space. I came out in December for their Miracle pop-up in 2025…read more As someone who has gone to a ton of holiday cocktail bars and pop-ups over the last 10 years, Overlook Lodge's is probably the best I've ever been to. Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)

Our host was able to make reservations for seating areas for large numbers of people, so once we had two areas of a dozen or more, and a couple other times we had one area of that size. This flexibility was a big plus because we could only guess at how many would make it each time. We had ice-cold beers of every description, including IPAs, hazys, and other local crafts. I can't name them all, and some drafts aren on the printed menu, bu5 8 kniw we had Psychopathy, a flavorful IPA, and Seeing Colors Tropical IPA, with a sweeter / hazy profile. Dont miss their cocktails! We loved the S'More Espresso Martini: vodka, chocolate liqueur, coffee tiqueur, and espresso :-) So much yum! And we ordered various pizzas. Our favorite was the Scenic Supreme (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, green peppers, black olives) and the Vista Veggie (about the same without the meats). I also saw friends devouring Caprese Canyon (olive oil, minced garlic, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, roma tomatoes, balsamic drizzle). And of course regular pepperoni. Tasty crust, tasty red sauce, (you could get white sauce), generous toppings. We got the large sizes, which were enough for at least four people per pie. Sandwich-wise, the most popular was the Cuban Reuben: marble rye, corned beef, ham, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, dill pickle, and Russian dressing. It's the added ham and pickles that move it toward a Cuban sandwich. Well-stacked, hot, and flavorful. For local flavor, the Goetta sandwich: that flavorful Cincinnati oat-pork hash, with candied bacon, american cheese, pickled jalapeños, lettuce, and ranch. Here and there we shared Buffalo fried-Cauliflower with celery and ranch on the side. This was. Not as spicy as it could be. But if you're going to eat cauliflower, this is tasty approach. We like the tangy Fried Pickle Spears better, served with lightly-spicy chipotle ranch. And we added some fresh crunchy Caesar salads, too, and and amazing pecan, apple, blue cheese, cranberry salad! So many candied pecans! Somehow, the servers kept up with an erratic flow of orders from different groups, keeping track on portable devices, so it was easy for each group to settle their own bill as-needed. It may not sound like much, but it was impressively smooth and error-free. And the staff remained helpful, and cheerful throughout. They built a large playgroup area with slides and climbers and more. Inside there's a large play camper that we spent a lot of time in, too! This is a great place for fresh-air dining, for large groups, and especially for kids. We lived the food and drink. Lots of wonderful leftovers, especially those huge pizzas!

I really liked the decor!
