Good, solid BBQ. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it's good. Wonderful fun in choosing a new hot sauce to try from their giant collection. I think the pulled pork is my favorite here, and the fried chicken is a close second. I tried their "sheet pizza" at a work gathering here and was surprised at how tasty it was. The brunch is pretty good too - but the breakfast items are lacking. The more "lunch" type-dishes are really good. Great spot if you're in the mood for a BBQ - nice atmosphere as well if you're looking for a casual place. read more

Good food - service is questionable. The waitstaff seemed annoyed with waiting on us and it was not crowded at all. Also, one of the wait staff was visibly in a spat with the hostess...speaking rudely to her and rolling her eyes. Its too bad because the restaurant layout is cool and they have super food. read more

live out of town and having a party for my sister. Used the semi catering and it was amazing! Staff helped me figure out what to order and then adjust when the number of people attending increased. Everyone went back for 2nd and 3 rds and still had great left overs. I forget the servers name, but she was awesome. Very friendly and professional and great service with a smile. Highly recommend catering services! read more

I met a friend for an early dinner. We sat in the bar area, and had a wonderful server. This was my first time there, and the server gave us a run down on the menu, and answered all of our questions. We got the Burned Ends for an app - OMG, soooo good!!! I got the brisket platter, and it just melts in your mouth. My friend got a combo platter with pulled pork and brisket and the sweet potato side - she was also very happy with her meal. The portions were huge, so we both came home with leftovers (good to have some BBQ and watch the game!!). The complimentary BBQ sauce bar gave us the chance to try out the different sauces (Beelzebar rocks! very authentic flavor!). Definitely recommend this place - get there early or have a reservation - it gets packed!! read more

Had not been here in years and was looking forward to a nice late lunch early dinner, but..... nearly 10 minutes went by and not one single person acknowledged us. Manager looking person saw us a few times and not even an offer to send a server or get drinks. Too bad. Got up and left. read more

From appetizers to dessert this place is great!! The candied bacon is my absolute favorite. We love this place so much we even had our last family party in their function hall. It was very reasonably priced and everyone loved the food and decor. read more

Amazing place and best food by far!! The staff always receives you with a great smile and restaurant is very clean. 5 Starts is not enough for them! read more

This place is different. I'd been driving past it for almost 3 years before i finally tried it. Tasty (not spicy enough for me), lot's to choose from, big servings and its a jolly good place. read more

Fantastic! Cover anything in Dixie Kiss and I'll eat it. I highly recommend the pulled pork.

My husband and I enjoy Firefly's. We had one of our best experiences last night.10/18/2014 Steve the owner is so pleasant and makes you feel welcomed. Service was awesome. Natalyn was our server and she was very attentive. We always love eating the cukes in dressing. Would love to take a whole bucket of that home. We enjoyed Cracklin Bread and Mac and Cheese with pulled pork to start. So delish! I ordered the Topless Melons drink. Presentation was pretty and tasted so yummy. Dinner was Beef Brisket and my husband ordered Beef Brisket with Roasted Turkey. They were both so flavorful. The best for last, Banana Bread Pudding with ice cream, sauce. Simply amazing. Thank you so much Firefly's. We will be back very soon. read more

The best grilled chicken I have ever had, with really friendly manager and staff, I loved this place

Pretty good food, kinda poor in execution. The food is always satisfactory. The staff is not great but is generally well intentioned. The place occasionally smells like a bathroom, not pleasant. Works ok for take out. read more

Best bbq around!!!!! We love coming here. Huge portions great staff. The owner Steve is awesome! We love coming here for food and entertainment. The live music is great. We come a few times a month, and never get disappointed! It's a place worth coming to!! read more

Great dining experience. Wonderful choices...outdoor dining area was great. My son is gluten free and they had a dedicated menu for him. It was fantastic. Our attendant , Andrea, was super attentive and personable. We will definitely return !!! read more

We have been here a couple of times now. Food is decent but we had issue with the "burnt ends" both times. The menu advertises it as a fatty item so we expected decent marbling on the meat but each time there was barely any. Just felt like a ripoff at $12. Sauces are good. Service was great the first time but below par this time with our waitress seemingly uninterested and indifferent. This restaurant's days will be over soon if they don't fire such waiters and be true to their menu. They are not cheap and at that price up and coming places in Worcester will eat their lunch. Just a matter of time. RESPONSE @Steve - I didn't mean to be harsh on the server, just that we had requested her "more fat the better" but got the opposite. Someone before you had responded saying you trim the ends - well then the menu shouldn't say they are the "fattiest" parts. I travel a ton and barbecue/steak places almost always consider customer requests as long as they are reasonable. Your response is humble, else I wouldn't care to write back. Consistent server experience is important I think. I can have a bad day but if that gets passed on to my customers I am a dead man. read more

Tough to get good bbq up north. The prices are high but the brisket was great. Just wish the bar staff had been a bit more attentive as I wasn't able to get a side of sauce with it. Still good without it but they really should be coming by more than once every 20 minutes. Willing to cut some slack though as it was pretty busy. read more

This was a great dining experience for me. Our waitress Serenity was so friendly and funny and helpful. She urged us to try things and didnt make it feel like a burden at all. she made the night really fun and the food was amazing. Definately want to tell people about it, would love to come back but I'm from leominster so I wont always be around the area but when I am this would be my first choice. The jamaican chicken was easily the best I've had and my favorite part of my combo. The corn bread was sweet and soft just like cake, I loved it. the mashed potatoes were fresh and still had bits of the skin, buttery and creamy enough on their own to not need anything else. The pulled pork was probably the best pulled pork I've had at any restaurant and all the different sauces were so good. Definately reccomend trying a few :) 10/10 with excellent service. read more

If I could have given 6 stars for this review I would have done it. My first time there with a couple who have been there before. The place was fun. The atmosphere was very warm & friendly. The food was really terrific. The caesar salad fed three of us. The BBQ ribs & brisket were outstanding (with a great BBQ sauce of my choice), which was expected. But what wasn't expected was the delicious and light cole slaw, perfectly cooked green beans and incredibly delicious corn bread. But the reason I'm writing this rave review is not because of the food; it's because of our waitress named Andrea. I am recovering from spinal surgery, and most hard-backed chairs are uncomfortable. I asked her for a cushion for my back...and she brought me an incredibly comfortable, cushioned chair from someone's office. She brought my friends samples of two beer options, and brought me a taste of the BBQ sauce I was considering. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, without overdoing it. And after her other tables finished and left she sat down and talked with us for a few minutes. She shared that she has worked there for 13 years, how much she loves it, and how proud she is of the owner, their amazing catering business, and the people she works with. We asked what was for dessert and she mentioned red velvet chocolate cake in her list. My friend Jeff started insisting that red velvet cake doesn't taste like chocolate, and he got pretty intense about it. So we ordered a piece of red velvet cake. The piece she brought could have fed a poor family for a week, and she had even obtained a copy of the ingredients list from the kitchen for Jeff. I asked if the owner was in and she said no, so I asked for the manager. His name was Nick, and we invited him to sit & schmooze while we raved about Andrea. He totally lit up with delight, and he was as nice as she was. I asked him to please pass on our praise to the owner, which he assured us he would do. It was the largest percentage tip any of us has ever given (or are ever likely to give!). If you go there, be sure to ask for Andrea as your waitress. The three of us have every intention of returning. read more

Went last night for dinner with the family. The food and service were absolutely amazing. Everything cooked to perfection. The portions were big enough for my grown sons who came hungry! Our server was extremely busy yet still was quite friendly and attentive. The renovations are terrific. Cant' wait to go back! read more

Stopped in tonight with my family for dinner. Love the new renovations! Bar was opened up and it looks fantastic. Food was good as always, brisket is my go to on the menu. Server was awesome, he was very attentive and did a great job. Being in the business I know how hard serving is, and he was outstanding. Owner stopped by the table to check on how everything was, always nice to have an owner actually in the building checking on guests and asking how our meals were. We let him know that our server was on point and did a great job. read more

Seating was quick, service was pleasant and generally fast. I visited with a colleague and we both ordered the Brisket. I was surprised it was cut thicker than any brisket I've ordered before, but it was very tender and had great flavor. We also had the burnt ends and the fried pickle appetizers. The burnt ends weren't what I expected but they were very good. I expected smaller pieces of meat, mostly dry and maybe with some sauce on the side; what we got was basically the same meat we got with our brisket meals but covered in sauce. It was all very good though! Side portions were generous and there was quite a selection. read more

I used to go to Firefly's all the time when I was in the area. The food is great and the BBQ sauces they have are all top notch. I've never found a better spot to grab a quick lunch on a weekend. I only wish they were open for lunch on weekdays. read more

Meats were all dry. I kept wondering if we were served the catering leftovers from the day.

Arrived early for a small party. Sat in the bar for a beer and apps. Service was quick and friendly. The draft beer was cold but a tad skunked, but still very drinkable. The wings were big and meaty and definitely worth the "half price before 5:30". That said I didn't really like all the barbeque sauce on the wings and rate the food average. The rest of the party arrived and we moved into the dining room. As in the bar the service was quick and friendly. The consensus was that the food was just OK, not bad, not great. I'm rating this place slightly above average. On the plus side was the service and price. On the negative side was the food. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't particularly good. I recommend, to the not so picky and particular eaters, but would not repeat myself. read more

Awesome BBQ at great prices. Had the Wings Appetizer and the baby Back Ribs Entree. Both had me wanting more but was too full from the portion size to even order dessert. read more

Firefly's is my favorite place for BBQ. I love the atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. I cannot name just one dish to try but I do love the burnt ends appetizer, fried chicken, brisket, grilled chicken, ribs...I think I'm just naming everything on the menu. If you have enough room, I recommend getting dessert, you won't be disappointed!! read more

Exceptional meal from drinks to apps to entrees! The cucumber salad is perfect; sweet and tart with crisp cucumber slices. The onion straws app is perfectly crisp with a horseradish ranch dip and the crazy roo wings just the right amount of heat and spice.. Ribs and fried chicken are cooked perfectly and all the sides done really well. Service was great, driinks on point. They know what they're doing, which is a rarity. Bravo!! read more

They have great brisket, and the Mac n cheese is awesome !!! Not a fan of the Ribs but they have other things like wings that are really good too. Not a bad bbq for up here in MA. read more

Rate a BBQ joint? Ribs: excellent. Slaw: VG. Beans: Meh. Rest assured they're doin their pigs right @Firefly's...

This is some of the best BBQ you are going to get in the North. Fall off the bone ribs, smoky sweet sticky sauce and no shortage of southern sides. Don't wear anything white... if you are a natural mess like me you will end up sauced. *SIDE NOTE* They have a lunch wagon that sits in the parking lot serving food to go during the weekdays read more

We go here for most major occasions and birthdays. The food is amazing and they deserve to be ranked in the top 10 in the country. The fried chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had. The ribs are great and the cornbread is to die for. I travel all over the country for work and eat at a lot of restaurants and this place is top notch. My family comes up from CT just to go here. Reasonably priced and excellent customer service. Highly recommended. read more

First time visit and and 100% enjoyed my meal. I had the Beef Brisket with sweet potatoes and green beans. The corn bread was moist but not too sweet and had plenty of flavor. I tried several bbq sauces. A great selection and each were delicious. Had the pudding desert which was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was quick, polite and friendly. Disappointing. Sat at the bar, piss poor service, terrible dried out food on the buffet, hot sauce "wall" full of empties. Will not be returning, even though the ribs had potential. If you do try it out skip the buffet, it looked ok but was absolutely not. read more
