We recently had a wedding catered by Firefly's and let me tell you it was excellent!!!!!! The food was on time, fresh, hot and plentiful! The experience was tremendous ordering through catering with Bianca who was courteous, patient and her help to make arrangements that were accommodating were spectacular when we needed a slight change in our delivery time. Our delivery person who was a young gentleman was so sweet and courteous and even called to verify he had the right address in the correct part of town. Our guest were just as pleased as we were and everyone couldn't compliment enough about the food. We would recommend Firefly's for any occasion!!!!! Thank you Steve and all your staff for making this a most memorable day!!!! read more

Amazing food. Brisket tips (burnt end), ribs, fried chicken, sides (red beans and dirty rice was great) & dessert were above par. I'm too full to say more. read more

Love the New Orkeans shrimp dish. Friends had salad with steak tips, ribs, and husband had gumbo. Delicious collard greens on the side, mac & cheese, cornbread, and baked beans. Always an amazing meal. MetroWest jewel. I've never had anything here that I didn't like. This is a must visit restaurant. You can't go wrong. They're very accommodating, and waitstaff is wonderful. We had several servers assisting us when our waitperson was not available. We did not have to ask, they came and assisted on the route. Good teamwork. Definitely a place where people enjoy dining as well as working. read more

I can't attest for their normal menu but I'm a huge fan of their Sunday BBQ Buffet. It's a tad on the expensive side ($16 a person) but it's really good. Their North Carolina BBQ sauce is also awesome! read more

Amazing food.... Friendly Staff. 09/05/2018- This was our second time we have been here and Wow, way better than our first time. Our first visit was less that great. Foid was cold, fatty and bland. But this visit was AWESOME,from the friendly staff out front to our waiter and the food was excellent. This trip changed my mind to visit here more often read more

Great service, good food and drinks! Staff always friendly and helpful Nice selection of condiments and sauces to appeal to everyone! I Never leave there hungry always get the combination platter and have plenty of leftovers! Some good entertainment on the weekends as well read more

Called in my order the other day. I wanted to pay over the phone so this was a take-out order of two small meals. While giving credit card info at the end the woman asked me if I would leave a gratuity in those exact words. I was taken back that they would ask, and yes it put me in a situation of being forced to tip on a take-out order. I thought what would they do to my food if I don't tip so I reluctantly did. I got the take-out order home and found that the container of hot sauce opened inside the bag. What a mess. The cornbread is not the same old recipe. Will NOT be coming back ever! read more

Fire flys bbq is amazing best bbq in the city hands down. I had the burnt tips and I have to say it really is the best food I've ever eaten. The staff was amazing always smiling. read more

Had their catering service today. Very friendly and service was still excellent. Their bbq chicken was a bit dry, but their pull-pork (a la carte or sandwich) was excellent. Corn bread was good as well, but I feel that their potato salad lacked some flavors. The vegetables were lacking in some flavors as well. But overall, not bad. read more

I have mixed feelings on this place. I've had really great experiences, but also really mediocre visits. Considering I almost always order the same thing (pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese), it's kind of weird to have such a varied experience. Sometimes the food is awesome- well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and a good selection of sauce to top your entree with. Other times, it's not- the food is bland, cooked poorly, and the sauce is lacking. Not sure why there's such a difference in quality. The service (well, delivery of the food) tends to be a little on the slow side, but nothing outrageous. Sitting outside on the deck is a must in the warmer months. Their drink selection isn't bad, though I always find the beer a little warm. We've gone for trivia, as well, and that is well run and fun. I'll probably keep giving them more chances because the food is never out and out bad, but I wish the quality was more consistent. read more

Amazing service, friendly staff, GREAT FOOD! I miss the Quincy location, but this was just the same!

I came in with my friends family and all I have to say is the food is absolutely AMAZING! The customer service is phenomenal, and they will definitely keep seeing me. read more

Love the food here and absolutely love the renovation. The Sunday brunch is awesome. Good music, people, staff and drinks.

First time the food and atmosphere was great I took my son and he was hungry when we got there his food was out very quickly our server was amazing and we had several visits from management and chef making sure we had a great visit read more

I love this place when the food is good and hate it when the food just okay at best. I have come to conclusion from living so close that it is very hit or miss to get good food sometimes getting in as early as possible works but sometimes late at night it is fantastic. I live less than a mile away and this is the place me and the boyfriend go when we just feel like chicken on a waffle. We have eaten ribs and they were good but not as good as the chicken on a waffle. All I can say is i love chicken on a waffle and firefly's has it 2 different ways with 2 sides and cornbread... wash it down with sweat tea and its a good night out for dinner. read more

Great experience tonight at Firefly's. Greeted warmly at the door by the staff and as we were being seated the owner walked by and also greeted us. Nice way to start a meal, feeling like your business is appreciated. Upon being seated and drinks being ordered, our friendly waitress placed a delicious, crisp, and fresh tasting cucumber salad on the table. Great balance of vinegar and sweet. We each ordered a drink. If you like delicious fruity drinks, the voodoo juice must be your choice. It was a large drink for a reasonable price. As an appetizer we had crackling bread, which is similar to to flatbread. Crispy bacon and green onions made it a terrific choice. For entrees, we each had a combo plate. I had turkey and baby back ribs with mac and cheese and dirty rice, he had brisket, fried chicken, and baby back ribs. I was torn about ordering anything that says it is smoked, especially one of my favorite proteins, turkey. It was the best meat on the table, it was juicy and had a complimentary hint of smoke. perfection. The ribs were tender, perfectly smoked, and the bark was special. Now to the sides, creamy mac and cheese, perfectly al dente and actually tasted of cheddar and dirty rice and beans that had rich smokiness and meaty, delicious beans. Not only was the food delicious, but the value was excellent. Many bbq restaurants in the Worcester area should aspire to be more like Firefly's. read more

Another phenomenal night at Firefly's on Saturday. Food, service, beverages, entertainment, all impeccable. They really know how to do it right! We had four at the table this time, and split a bunch of apps; each more delicious than the rest. Lots of oooh and ahhh and mmm and OMG's going on around the table. Brisket and ribs over the top tender and flavorful. Might try the specials next time but my old favorites are still so good ... topped off by super light beignets stuffed with chocolate served with dipping sauces and amazing banana cream pie. The owner even came by a few times to make sure everything was great. Still my favorite place! read more

OMG, yes! Other than Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester, NY, this is the best BBQ we've had up here in the northeast! The beer selection is huge, the bbq is exceptional, the side are all homemade and really well seasoned. One thing that really lets you know (other than the mead being super tender) whether a bbq restaurant knows what they're really doing is whether their cornbread is moist or dry... it's moist and you'll want to order extra because you'll want more! They also had a great range of choices for sauces! From sweet, sweet/tangy, to setting your mouth on fire. :) On top of the great food, they also have a dining room w/ live music and on the other side of a 1/2 wall, a really great sized pool hall so you can play and listen to the great bands they book after dinner. And they do book really good quality bands, have a dance floor that's big enough to fit a lot of people and also important - a great sound system. We went in early winter on a rainy night, but can't wait until we can get back up to MA this summer so we can eat outside in their enclosed patio. We also loved that they have a big popcorn maker in the waiting area, so you can munch on fresh "theatre" popcorn while waiting or after eating when you've danced enough to need a munchie later. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into this restaurant to create a whole evening experience for their patrons! read more

They need more vegetarian options and the mac and cheese was gross and really Bland and the Sunday brunch buffet was really bad like there is no good option it was bad I don't like it read more

True authentic BBQ right in the heart of Marlborough. Fall off the bone ribs and every sauce you can imagine... this is our family's "go-to" place, particularly for Sunday brunch. The brunch is loaded with everything you can possibly imagine from pancakes, waffles and eggs to a make your own sundae bar. The service is always pleasant and accommodating. read more

Pretty good barbecue joint. I especially like the fixin's bar, with a variety of pickled veggies and barbecue sauces available. I've been here a few times, and the service has always been good. I recommend making reservations, especially during busy times, or you will wait to get seated. read more

Fireflys has more of a chain restaurant feel to it. Good selection, nice atmosphere. My meal was OK, burnt ends appetizer was very tasty. Ordered jerk chicken. Vegetable sides were very good, fresh, cooked perfectly. Jerk chicken was underwhelming in the flavor dept., didnt taste like jerk at Ll but chicken was well cooked and after I drowned my breasts in their house chipotle bbq, it was OK. Overall, food was good but didnt really have a wow factor for me, however, would need to sample more of their traditional bbq fare. I would eat here again based on my experience. read more

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Their BBQ sauces and pickled bar are great. My son loved the mac and cheese and I the corn bread (best I have had in years). I enjoyed the ribs and the pulled pork was decent. Will go back to try more items like their chicken and waffles. read more

Greeted warmly to start off the experience, hostess seated us and gave us the run down as we were 1st timers. Ordered burnt brisket ends as a starter, phenomenal!!! Then ordered a combo plate, cornbread was moist with a hint of sweetness, so said my companions. I enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket...good keto options as you can get them without BBQ sauce. Tender, tender, tender. Companions were just as happy with their meat too. Sausage was spicy, ribs tender and juicy, and fried chicken was crispy. Collards tasted sweet but vinegary, cucumber salad was such a hit, companion ordered it to go. Wait staff are super friendly, James H, thank you for your service and friendliness. Can't wait to go back. read more

First time eating here and we walked away satisfied. We went on a Friday night and it was busy, but we were seated quickly and service throughout the meal was good. As for the food, i would put it in the standard BBQ category. It was well cooked and had decent flavor, just really not my kind of BBQ. I really prefer a BBQ that is not smothered in sweet tomato BBQ sauces. And that is pretty much what we got here. We ordered the Pulled Pork platter and an order of ribs. The ribs were good, but too sticky for my taste. And the pulled pork was a nice big portion of well cooked pork. Nice and tender with some of the good bark from the outside served over white bread (just how it should be). But it too was mixed with way too much sauce. That is all i tasted was the sauce, not the pork. So decent, but i would prefer a dry rubbed rack of ribs and a pile of pork that i can add my own sauce (and I prefer the spicy vinegar version myself). The sides were quite good. The mac and cheese was good (and happy to see...homemade). Even better with the pulled pork ontop. The Sweet Potato pudding was very good as were the garlic mashed potatoes. But the best was the cucumber salad. Overall was good. just lay off the sauce and i would have been much happier. read more

went there for many years until I move towards West. Good memories but have to say it changed over the years in quality. Sunday brunch was always awesome and great relaxing times hitting your BBQ spot. Just noticed towards the end that the selection got somewhat smaller but offered new things here and there. If I ever go back, I would check it out again (for the good old times)... read more

Great midwestern barbecue hidden away in Massachusetts. Had ribs of course, perfectly cooked and smoked. My favorite sauces were the Memphis and Dixie Kiss. Cole slaw and barbecue beans were both good as well. Banana cream pie for dessert was fabulous! I especially liked that the restaurant part of the establishment was clean, open, modern, and full of light. Well done! read more

I had ribs, excellent sauce, not fatty, and fell off the bone :) I don't usually like corn bread but this was good! Cold beer as promised. Very friendly hostess and waiter. Good price as well. Definitely will go back for ribs! read more

Firefly's recently catered our offsite event. Bianca, the event coordinator, was so nice, easy to work with and listened to my needs/requests. The food was cooked onsite. The staff that was there were polite, clean and used safe food practices. They the served appetizers first, with a pause and smooth transition to dinner. The food was plentiful and AMAZING. All of our guests raved about it. The breakdown was quick, and the leftover food was packed for us. I would 100% recommended Firefly's to anyone. read more

While on a trip to MA from Southern California, we were looking for a place for dinner and found Firefly's on Yelp. We decided to give it a shot from the excellent reviews. We ordered the burnt ends to start things off which were excellent. For dinner, we ordered Brisket, St.Louis ribs and Fried chicken. All of them were excellent and the portion sizes were very generous. The service and food were both excellent so I would highly recommended giving Firefly's a try. read more

Firefly's gets a thumbs up. There is free valet parking so don't let the full parking lot scare you off. Make reservations the place is always packed. There is an outdoor patio with live music try to sit out there weather permitting. The food is fresh, great selection of BBQ. Great sides, the staff is prompt, kind, and helpful. Prices are good and you get plenty of food. The food is excellent, pulled pork, ribs, BBQ chicken, burgers! All great and great serving sizes. You will not leave hungry. Full bar and plenty to drink. They do have pool tables and live bands on weekends. The bands are pretty darn good to boot!! Imagine that, good food, great service, parking, and great live music. Would have given 5 stars if the food was free. Check it out, bring the kids, or go with your date! It works. read more

We have been going to Firefly's for about eight years. When you have kids with peanut and tree nut allergies, going out to dinner is not for the faint at heart. When we go there we are confident in two things: 1. our kids will be safe, and 2. our meals will be fantastic. Tonight did not disappoint. Burnt Ends and Jumbo Wings for starters. Texas Brisket is second to none and the Chicken & Waffles are to die for. We left with three take home containers. It is impossible to finish the massive amounts of food they pile on. Also we have never been there and not seen the owner. He walks around to check on every table and to thank you for coming in! Go for a visit, you will not regret it. read more
