He's either having a bad day or hates his job, either way I felt really uncomfortable ordering from him he had an attitude and I had asked a few questions about their drinks and he spoke to me as if I was stupid. After I decided I'll try the house made mocha I forgot to ask if I can get oatmilk as the substitute because I'm lactose intolerant and he looked at me so upset... I just wanted to leave at that point and made a remark to his friend and they both looked at me and laughed... So good! I'm visiting Flagstaff for our annual Fourth of July trip and of course, local coffee shops are my favorite to visit. I ordered a 16 oz iced lavender vanilla latte with cinnamon powder. I asked for light ice and extra cinnamon. It wasn't too sweet and the house made syrup was delicious! I love when places offer sip lids so I don't need to waste plastic on straws. I also appreciated the large jug of cold water that I was able to refill my water bottles with. Firecreek is a great place to get great coffee in Flagstaff. Before I get started I feel the need to point something out. I am the complete opposite of hip, cool, young, fresh, or any other adjective one would use to describe people favorably. If you are one of those adjectives, you will fit in here perfectly. If you're not, and you're like me, ignore how cool everyone else is and get you some coffee. I stopped in at Firecreek on my way out of town. Leaving Flagstaff is always sad and I always leave early. The place I stopped last time didn't seem to exists anymore so when I searched Yelp, this place seemed to fit what I look for in a coffee shop. Parking is street only, but I lucked out and got a spot right out front. Service was cordial despite it being obvious to everyone under the sun that I was not a regular. The regulars were young, hip, and cool. I am none of those things remember? The coffee was very good. I am an iced coffee fan and theirs was smooth and potent. There was no hint of bitterness even though I ordered it black. Whatever they do to create that coffee is working. After acquiring my iced coffee I rolled out and headed home. I finally made my way in here a few weeks ago while up in Flagstaff visiting. They're located on the main street (Route66) in downtown Flagstaff. They only have street parking, which can be challenging depending on the season. The shop itself is dark but cozy. There are a lot of tables. The staff were all friendly - someone experiencing homelessness was there to order a coffee in front of me and the staff member took care of it himself - Bless you! I really enjoyed my coffee - I ordered a peppermint mocha-style drink (drawing a blank on what they called it). It was REALLY good, had quality peppermint flavors, and wasn't too sweet. Firecreek Coffee is by FAR my favorite coffee in Arizona. I live in the Phoenix/ Scottsdale area and definitely consider myself picky when it comes to good coffee. Firecreek has nailed the European-style bold yet smooth cup of Joe. My go-to heavenly order is a hot vanilla oat milk latte. It's made with local organic flavors and the oat milk is thick and creamy too, making this the best cup of coffee. Simple yet so so delicious. I make sure to get a cup every time/ day we visit Flagstaff :) One time they were out of vanilla syrup so I went for an iced caramel oat milk latte instead. Let's just say I've never drank anything so quickly in my life. It was WONDERFUL and comes in a very close second for favorite coffee here (or anywhere in Az lol). The atmosphere is very peaceful and earthy in feel, just like flagstaff. They also offer a bar with full service as well for those who want a little extra something in their coffee or in general. I came here 2 days in a row to work and it got the job done. Wifi was a little wonky at times and got booted off Zoom calls but overall for the 5 hours I was here, the wifi worked. Their espresso was very good and even better, their regular espresso is a double shot. So win-win situation. I tried their campfire seasonal roast and can't say I'm too fund of it. My husband and I came here twice during a recent Flagstaff trip. The first time we visited was during a weekday morning. The place was pretty busy but we were able to find a seat no problem. We ordered hot vanilla lattes and shared a maple walnut biscotti. I LOVED the biscotti. It was amazing. Super flavorful and perfectly baked. I am dying to recreate these at home. The lattes were good. The espresso was smooth and the vanilla wasn't overpowering. Obviously we liked it so much we came back a second time. The second visit was about an hour after opening and was just a quick stop for drinks to go. Both visits, the baristas and employees were nice and friendly.
