The food here is extremely adequate, and nothing more. I've ordered from this place probably 3 times now. All three times we've had issues with food missing from our order or poor food quality. The most recent time an entire dish was missing from the order and another dish was completely black from being overcooked. We were promised a refund for the burnt food, which was never received, and the restaurant accused us of lying about the missing food. Will never order from here again. read more

Reviewing so I remember not to order from here again. The hot and sour soup was good but came in a styrofoam, smaller-than-pint container yet the egg drop soup was in regular pint Chinese container. The cold sesame noodle came with a thicker than normal width noodle and was just okay. The combo fried rice and shrimp with cashew came with a total of three (3) shrimp! Rad the reviews right after hitting "place order" and regretted it. But despite the shocking negative reviews - it actually was pretty good. I usually read reviews before buying stuff but I was hungry and just took the risk. Def good. Would order again! Ordered chicken and brocolli & wings. Nothing wrong. Horrible do not order from there ordered food at 8:30 called at 10 said it was still cooking the food called back at 10 :50 there still cooking the food same response there busy but you close at 11: 00 pm two times I called they asked if I want to cancel my order no I waited this long I still want it will never order there again I don't care how busy you are 2 hrs that's insane no we will give free egg roll or free delivery just thanks for your money terrible service beware. Food finally gets here at 11:05 I was so hungry and I love Chinese taste like they tossed the general tso chicken on the floor needless to say soda was warm and the food was horrible I try to leave good reviews I live off reviews as I own a business just all around not a good experience . This was my first time ordering from here. Delivery was super fast! Much quicker than anticipated. Everyone was pleased with everything we ordered..it all tasted very good! Cheese wontons, orange chicken, house special mei fun, shrimp fried rice and beef with garlic sauce..I personally ate the house special mei fun and it was very tasty. The rice noodles were moist, not over cooked and the shrimp, chicken and pork were tender with a clean flavor. I would definitely get again! The delivery was exactly on time but I found that the food wasn't all that great. I hate that I was too lazy to drive to my usual take out place. I guess the food is my punishment. I requested my General Tso's chicken to be spicy. It was not at all. The chicken itself was also soggy. I feel like I want to put my food on the oven to crisp it up a little. I got pork fried rice instead of white rice. It tastes like minute rice, had those mystery "pork" cubes, and had a weird after taste. The food was good but ordering the food was a pain in the ass! Never order on holidays like Christmas, New Years, etc because they are not good at organizing the orders and getting them out in time. I saw one women order her food at 1pm and she arrived there at 6pm and her food was still not ready. Prices could be cheaper but the food is good, full with flavor, and well worth multiple tries to whet that Chinese take out taste. Note that there is only one table at the place so think more take out than eat in. Menu even offers a "lite" version when some dishes are steamed without oil, MSG and less salt. read more

I'll give 5 stars after a few more orders. Fast delivery, food was hot. First time ordering. Fried Dumplings and Shrimp Egg Rolls pretty much same everywhere. Crispy Fried Shrimp and Scallop EXCELLENT! Crispy batter, HUGE sea scallops and shrimp in good sauce we had less spice added. Sesame Shrimp, EXCELLENT, huge shrimp, crisp batter, not mushy or too thick like some places. Governor's Chicken Lunch Special, great price, again, EXCELLENT, loads of perfectly cooked vegetables, mushroom slices were thick and chicken was tender. Sauce was very good and as requested not too spicy. The fried rice is a yellow rice, so yummy. Might be new favorite place. No I was not paid to post good review, it truly is very good. This was my first time at Fire Wok, but I certainly will visit again. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, my order was served quickly and very hot which is impressive for Carry out. Heard that this location just opened and we were craving for Chinese.. So my friends and I decided to place a delivery order. I don't usually order Chinese food to-go...but as for my recent experience with this place... I am satisfied and impressed with their service! The food was delivered quicker than I expected it and our food was still hot and fresh. We ordered my personal favorite singapore chow mein fun, fried chicken wings, and fried rice. Everything was so good that it made me really want to order more food from this place. It's amazing how authentic their food taste. Nonetheless, I can certainly say that the Chinese food at this location is way better compared to other Chinese carry out restaurants in D.C. read more

I travel a lot. So I eat take out Chinese a lot. I was so surprised to find this little jewel in the tiny Baltimore suburb of Arbutus. The food is excellent. Very fresh ingredients and not your typical syrupy sauces on top of over cooked protein. The service is friendly and efficient. If you live around here and have not tried it, you are missing out. Either there's something wrong with y'all to taste buds or you are just used to Bland Foods. I ordered a week ago for the first time. House special fried rice, veggie mei fun and Golden chrispy shrimp and scallops. Fried rice was okay the mei fun was tasteless shrimp was overcook scallops was not cooked batter was too thick not to mention the fact that it was soggy rather than crispy, sauce was way too sweet. I will say I was very pleased with the owners interest in the satisfaction of their customers. She actually came to my house and brought replacement scallops which was no different. Being a new restaurant I wanted to support them and promised that I would order again, I did tonight. Never again. I ordered the combos this time, which claim to be pork fried rice, three tiny pieces of pork on the top of the rice. there was no sauce or gravy in the meat, it was just Bland and tasteless not to mention they got the orders wrong. I wish this restaurant the best in the future. However I do think it would be best if they would order from restaurants such as American Asia, in order to taste what quality and good food should taste like. Their prices does not match what they deliver. The vegetables in the dishes we ordered included broccoli four pieces two slices of mushroom and three pieces of green bean. This was the worst egg drop soup ever. Totally tasteless. Again I wish the best for this restaurant, I know they're young and they're trying. I just hope they would hire a chef that knows what he's doing rather than her husband trying. This was the worst 'Chinese food ' I've ever had!! The governors shrimp was just donuts with flecks of "shrimp ". The shrimp lo mein had no flavor, and the shrimp were mealy! The chicken with string beans, was defrosted chicken with raw green beans!! They included a free egg roll that was coated in dirty fryer oil! I threw the entire $36 order out. It was inedible. I am looking for the really original delicious Chinese food. I found fire work and came in to order the food the sweet cashier suggest. I am vegetarian. I got vegetables delight and veg paitai.
