Fire Wings - Burnt not cut properly - Chicken Wings Near Me - Downey, California

This place is one of my favorite places to go to watch sports games, there's usually enough space for crowds to gather and enjoy the games & food together. The employees here are amazing!!! They never mess up my order. Crystal always suggests sides especially when I'm being indecisive at times, Diah (sorry if I spelled your name wrong), and Lulu keep smiles on their faces and greet everyone when they come in, the food is delicious! I'll be going back a second time this week Forsure! Thanks to all the staff & owner/s for delivering top service with top quality food! read more

What in the world is this place about ! Everything was disgustingly gross . Please teach your staff how to cook they obviously don't care ! Everything was burned and those black things were at the bottom of the pizza slices my kids almost ate they were stuck on the bottom of the pizza slices. I ordered different things wanted to try this place and ordered several items . Never again ! I would have like to message the manager but he's remarks to others reviews indicates he's aware of what's happening.. read more

Thank you Lulu for all your help and lI've! And the recommendation on the menu it was awesome!!! read more

Walked in and TV blasting so loud you can barely order. I'm not sure if they were trying to save on AC costs but the doors were wide open and this was letting flys in. The food was average at best. I ordered a big variety from the menu and there was nothing that stood out or I would buy again. It's also not cheap. The team working there was fine. I had no complaints on that. I just would never go again nor recommend it. read more

Came in to Fire Wings with my buddies. This is my second time here and man, I was really craving it. This place is pretty damn good. Lemon pepper is still my favorite, and you cannot sleep on the Saigon Street wings... those are straight fire . Definitely coming back again. read more

Honestly better than what I was expecting because of the star reviews given. This place has very good wings they are high quality and tasty. Can be a little expensive but what wing place isn't expensive nowadays so definitely worth it imo the service was great and the inside was nice and clean. Recommend read more

food was so yummy and crispy. we got 10 piece bone in and it was worth the price. employees are super nice as well. and i love the vibe in here with the music and the dodger game on tonight as well, would recommend! read more

This is a great place to eat with friends and family! The ambiance is loud because there are sport fans watching the local games on the TV and there is also alcohol. They have an outdoor patio where you can eat and enjoy the outdoors. The service is great and food comes to you piping hot from the kitchen! My favorite flavor is Dragon! Their Peking flavor leaves your fingers red, so be careful if you don't want it to dye your clothing. Van was gracious enough to allow us to have our friends birthday party here! It was a great time! read more

I've tried fire wings before and while I do like it I've never been a fan of the customer service. However this changed when I visited the Downey location. Ive only ever been to the Long Beach location and this one blows it out of the water. The staff is so nice and patient as I looked over the beer menu. Great beer and great food is an auto 5/5. There is a solid clientele as it's right next to a Cinemark, so make sure to get there a little early if you're going during a big movie release! read more

If want to waste your 30 lunch break here, this is the place to be. It does not take 30 mins to make some damn wings. The staff should be moving instead of just messing around in the back and joking. This restaurant is dirty as hell. It is no mystery why this place is do dead at lunch with doors opened and flies all in the building. Employees coming back from work picking their teeth without washing their hands and thinking putting on a pair gloves that she rubbed all over hand is sanitary. The whole staff needs to be replaced if this business wants to survive. read more

They have happy hours but I'm not sure what time, bc the girl who rang me up said "happy hour right now and didn't specify" I waited a long time for my to-go order. It wasn't busy when I came, they only had 2 tables. The wings were a bit dry. The chicken sando was ok read more

Service was horrible... waited 40 minutes before they gave me only my fries. Then after waiting 15 more minutes I checked on my wings and they had not even started preparing them. The place wasn't even busy. They definitely need to retrain the whole staff. Would not recommend or ever go back. Stick to Wingstop fries are better read more

Fire Wings in Downey has become one of my go-to spots when I'm craving wings. Honestly, their wings are bomb m, super crispy with sauces and rubs that never miss. The owner also puts in a lot of effort to make it a fun place to hang out. Between the TVs showing sports, DJs, and even local vendors that pop up, it feels more like a community spot than just a wing place. The only downside for me is the "all flats" option. I always pay extra for it, but most of the time I still don't get all flats. I've mentioned it a few times, but it hasn't been handled well and kind of takes away from the experience. Still, the food and vibe keep me coming back, I just really hope they improve on that part. Update: I am here now and they told me they cannot do all flats. I'm pretty sure it's the cook himself! We have bad luck with him read more

Five stars for the owner of this eatery! He drove by Kaiser Permanente Downey today and saw 75 of us, mental heath care workers striking, walking the picket line. With a big heart and compassion for us out on strike for 14 weeks without a paycheck, he drove back with trays of Garlic Noodles and Chicken Wings to feed us!! Thank you sir for your loving heart! Mental Health care matters! Thank you for supporting us and your community! Much appreciation for your tasty noodles and assorted chicken wings read more

Recently visited the Downey location and it was not the best experience ordering to-go :/ They had my order wrong as I have requested all flats and I received a mix of both! More so drums than any flats at all! There fries were very stiff as well & I was also missing a ranch too. Used to the Irvine location which is spectacular but cannot say the same for this one unfortunately. read more

My bf and I got the chicken sandwiches which were gross. The Nashville hot chicken was burnt, dry, and had no sauce despite no modifications. The buffalo chicken tasted like something you can air fry and was below average. read more

Was here over the weekend and the food and service was great. Had the southern bbq fries, parm wings, and lemon pepper wings. The fries had the southern seasoning with the savory chunks of cheese to boost. The wings were juicy with a decent size to them. Parm wings taste great and would recommend for the little ones. It had a taste similar to cheddar ruffles but more savory. Lemon pepper just had the right amount of zest where it's not sour. Would definitely come back the next time I'm around the area of Downey. read more

The Food here was so amazing!!!! I loved the fresh wings especially the mango habanero and the garlic noodles were so tasty as well. I loved how clean the restaurant is and the whole look and feel of the space, I would say though that it's a little bit of a wait but the customer service was amazing. read more

I had the most fun fire wing dining experience here in Downey with my coworkers! Rarely would wings warrant 5 stars or a review from me, but this spot has specialty pizzas, like the exclusive Nashville Hot and the classic Buffalo. The flavors and quality of dough, combo of ingredients on these pizzas were fantastic for their fusion styled food. The manager Brad was super helpful and talked to us a lot so I found out not all fire wings locations have pizzas and this is the only location for the Nashville one as the recipe was created by one of the workers here. I always come back to fire wings (usually rancho) for their saucy Asian fusion wings! My top 3 choice flavors - the Dragon, Peking, and tangy Thai Chili. I also can't resist the buffalo stampede and the mango habanero for that . The ambiance here was fun and inviting both inside and on the patio. It's the perfect spot for a meal before or after catching a movie theater or doing some shopping. The beer & cocktail selection is pretty sweet too! read more

Fire Wings has one of the most unique and delicious wing selections around. From bold flavors like Dragon, Peking, and Jamaican Jerk to classics like Lemon Pepper and Garlic Parmesan -- everything I've tried has been on point. I *have* to shout out the **peanut butter wings** -- yes, you read that right. I was super skeptical, but they turned out to be one of my absolute favorites. Sweet, savory, and totally addictive. A must-try! Great variety, tasty sides, and fast service. If you're into wings and looking to try something new, this place is a winner. read more

Stopped by here for lunch. We got the 10 wing combo (comes with drinks and fries) and some boneless wings in the side. With the 10 wing, you can choose two flavors. We chose the lemon pepper and the buffalo. The lemon pepper was way too sour and the buffalo was too buttery. The fries also tasted like reheated fries. It's pretty affordable, especially with the lunch prices but wouldn't recommend. read more

Got my order wrong and they said they can't do anything about it. We ordered peanut butter but they served us Thai chili.

So many options. Beer and wings before a movie! I've tired a few and always order the Thai chili & buffalo, Highly recommended trying it.

A Hidden Gem for Wings, Pizza, and Vibes If you're even thinking about trying this spot--stop what you're doing and GO. I pulled up here on my day off just looking for a casual bite and a cold beer while catching the Dodger game, and what I got instead was a whole experience. First off, the garlic Parmesan wings? STRAIGHT FIRE. Like, I'm still thinking about them. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and absolutely drenched in this buttery, garlicky, cheesy goodness that had me licking my fingers. It's clear the cooks know exactly what they're doing--this isn't some rushed, half-hearted bar food. These wings had love in them. And then came the pizza... I wasn't even planning on ordering any, but someone near me had a slice and the smell alone convinced me. Let me tell you--this pizza exceeded all expectations. The crust had that perfect golden crunch with just the right chew, the sauce was flavorful but not overwhelming, and the toppings tasted FRESH. You can tell the kitchen takes its time. It's not some frozen, thrown-together nonsense. This is quality, and it shows. Now, let's talk beer--amazing variety! Whether you're into local craft or just want a reliable classic, they've got you covered. I was able to sip on something cold and smooth while cheering on the Dodgers--doesn't get better than that. The service? Super friendly, attentive without being pushy, and you could tell the staff actually cared about the customer experience. I really appreciated that energy. All in all--incredible wings, shockingly good pizza, great beer, and good vibes all around. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. It's not just food--it's a whole damn mood. read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to show some love to Fire Wings in Downey. I actually drove out here from Corona after a friend wouldn't stop hyping it up--and honestly, I get it now. The wings are legit some of the best I've had in a long time. Super crispy, full of flavor, and not overly greasy like a lot of other places. I tried a few different flavors, but the salt & pepper and Thai chili really stood out. The staff was chill, service was quick, and the whole place just had a good vibe. Totally worth the drive, and I'll definitely be back whenever I'm craving wings done right. If you're into wings, this spot's a must. read more
