Ordered the Fire Creek Hamburger and Soup. Laura-- my wait staff -- appeared a bit rushed but took my order in a friendly manner-- my wait time for service and my bill was too long. Here's hoping my burger is hot enough and my soup is beyond warm. Received my burger which in my opinion was non descriptive. The meat was tasteless due to needing more seasoning. My bun got soggy due to the water content in the bar be que sauce. My soup was warm and a tad spicy. Even with these negatives the quality of the meat was good to warrant a 3. Nonetheless the environment even with the large celebratory crowd during peak hours was quiet as they enjoyed their noontime meal.

10/13/2023 Another great dinner at Fire Creek topped off with another great conversation with the owner, who was working the floor. Tonight, my wife started with a Grapefruit Paloma (see picture) and I opted for the Smoked Club (see picture). For dinner, my wife chose the Cajun Ribeye (see picture) and I went with the Shrimp Diablo with Scallops (see picture). As we've come to expect, both the food and the service were excellent - we were quite happy with our stop and the full experience.

Service was top tier & food was so good! Our waitress checked on us often, kept our drinks replenished, & offered great conversation. The food was to die for! Both were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back!

We tried this restaurant for the first time with our good friends not really sure what to expect. Our neighbor made a reservation online for 6pm. We got there right at 6, and for some reason the hostess was not able to find our reservation. But, she acknowledged the email we had showing that the reservation was made online. She apologized and told us we'd be seated as quickly as they could open a table for us. We went to the bar, got a drink, and by the time we got back to waiting area, our table was ready. Great start! Our waitress promptly greeted is and brought us waters. She had a wonderful personality and was really pleasant. Appetizers were the calamari and the mosquito bites, which were fried wontons filled with cream cheese. Both were very good. I had the Whiskey Honey Chop, which had to be the most tender pork chop I've ever eaten. The sauce on it was so sweet and amazing. My wife had the Tenderloin Medallions and she loved it. I had a bite, and it was so tender and delicious. We were extremely impressed. We are already planning our return trip to this restaurant. It's casual, but has fantastic food and a nice atmosphere. The review was an easy one to write.

We visited here with a larger group for a nice night out. Walking in & being greeted was great. The fireplace was very calming & welcoming. All of us were very happy with the food & drinks. The pricing was reasonable with a large variety of options. Service was great, but they seemed a bit overwhelmed. The only real down side was being put in their 'banquet room". For the size of our group, we were put in a corner & with round tables, we were not comfortable. But all in all would definitely go back.

Tonight, we decided to take advantage of the Happy Hour specials and enjoy a few shared appetizers at the table, so started with 6 Shrimp Cocktail (see picture) and Cheese Curds (see picture). Both of them were very good, so we decided to also try their Raw Oysters (see picture) - which were also very good. For our dinner, my wife ordered the Lobster Roll (see picture) and while we weren't quite sure what form it would take, we were both pleased what was brought to the table, as it tasted great! I decided to go with the Walleye Wednesday special (see picture) and found it to not only taste great - but was a very generous portion of walleye!

We were there on a Sunday so I suspect a lot of other people were taking advantage of the Sunday dinner for two like we were. We were greeted when we came in the door and the service from the time we entered until the time we left was outstanding. As we are celebrating our anniversary, our table was decorated for that which was a nice touch. We looked over the very extensive menus and did settle back in on the $99 dinner for two. In theory it is smaller portions than some of their other dishes, but there was more than enough food there for the two of us. We got the filet mignon, which was wonderfully prepared and an outstanding cut of meat. We got the 50-50 potatoes, and asked later what the 50-50 meant and discovered it's 50% potato and 50% butter and cream. They are delicious but decadent! We also got the asparagus which was very good. It had a wonderful sauce, and was tender and flavorful. We also each got the wedge salad which was almost a meal in itself. And we each got the carrot cake for dessert. We had to bring a lot of the carrot cake home because we were quite topped off at that point. The carrot cake is a slightly different twist than some, but very good nonetheless. The wine list is very good and prices are what you would expect at an establishment of this type. All in all, I would definitely go back and try some other things. If you're into oysters, they have quite a selection of those, but that's not really my jam.

Like probably most Americans, I haven't tried a lot of South American cuisine so I didn't know what to expect. I guess I was expecting something like Mexican food. Well, it's definitely a lot different than Mexican food. Peruvian food isn't very spicy and the seasonings are different, yet still tasty. There a big Chinese influence on Peruvian food, too. I got the Lomo Saltado, a popular Peruvian dish with stir-fried beef, onions and tomatoes served with rice and French fries. My husband got the Chaufa al Wok, an oriental Peruvian fried rice with chicken. The fries kind of threw me at first. I wasn't expecting that. The dish was very good and had a nice flavor. My husband loved his dish and thought it was delicious. With both of our dishes it was interesting to see how much of a Chinese influence there is. What my husband absolutely loved the most is their homemade horchata. It tasted different than Mexican horchata so he asked what was in it. Our server said it was made was cacao beans instead of just rice and cinnamon. It had a pale brown color to it, too. I also liked the seasoned corn nuts that came with two different sauces--a sweet one and savory one. We both thought the prices were a little high but not so much that we wouldn't come back. The service was very good. Our server was friendly and helped us decide what to order. She was very knowledgeable about the menu items. At the end of our meal both she and the owner (I think) asked us how we liked everything and if there was anything they could have done to make things more enjoyable. I mentioned that my food came out much earlier than my husband's so I was almost done by the time his came out. The owner apologized for the wait and we really appreciated that. They also serve empanadas, pupusas and tamales. We're going to try these the next time we come back. Someone at the table next to us ordered the pupusas and they looked yummy. We were pleasantly pleased with how tasty the food was despite being a lot different than what we were expecting.

My partner enjoyed his ribeye, but everything else was disappointing. My New York strip was slightly undercooked, which I didn't mind as it's better than overcooked, but had inconsistent seasoning. It was also a tough cut of meat, which I have never experienced from a New York strip ordered anywhere, or cooked at home. The sauce I ordered on the steak did not come out with the steak. I asked the waitress for the sauce again and then when it arrived it was in a small dish I could use to pour it, but it was so thick it wouldn't pour. The sauce was not as I expected. The lobster Mac and cheese had barely ANY lobster in it, and when we first got it we didn't think there was any. We asked the waitress and she proceeded to tell us the macaroni and cheese was pre-made so it had to have lobster. I dug around more in the side dish with her there and then finally found the few lobster pieces in a tiny pile under noodles towards the center. For how expensive the side was, I expected more lobster. Still, the actual flavor of the Mac and cheese was more disappointing than a lack of lobster. You can TELL it is all premade. I'm not talking sauce that is pre done, lobster ready to add, and then noodles cooked to order, all assembled when an order comes in as you'd expect from a fine dining experience. It tasted like it was all made ahead of time, scooped from the fridge into the dish and then baked to heat it up. The noodles were mushy, way too much sauce that was gloopy and the lobster was eh. The bone marrow appetizer was very uninspired. I've had amazing bone marrow from other restaurants. This was bone marrow covered in burnt ends and barbecue that doesn't taste right. I should have anticipated the delicacy of bone marrow going missing under the barbecue burnt ends, but I expected the execution to be better. I should have gone with my gut on that one. The garlic bread served with the bone marrow also was like the kind you buy in the freezer section of the store. Not something you expect from a fine dining restaurant. The Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts were not spicy at all, as you'd expect from something labeled "Kung Pao" and instead they were just sweet. Teriyaki Brussels Sprouts would be a better name. My partner had wanted to get a dry aged steak but they were completely out of both dry aged options. That wasn't a super big deal, as that obviously can happen! He was glad he chose the ribeye though as it was the best thing either of us tasted. Though it was the best thing from our dinner, it also was unevenly seasoned. The first half he ate was perfect and the second half wayyyyyy oversalted. The carrot cake was delicious.
