This place was awful. Been wanting to try it for awhile and my Husband and Daughter took me there tonight for my Birthday. We ordered the 8 oz steaks and told them one just a little pinky inside and the other med rare. We waited at least 20 minutes for our food. When we received our steaks they both were cooked rare. Flat no seasoning or anything on it at all. I had a salad with mine which was awful, but was hungry and ate it anyways. My daughter had the Chicken and Alfreado Noodles. One small piece of Chicken cut in lenghts and shoved on the side, no taste or flavor at all. We also ordered the Kids Mac n Cheese for my granddaughter. The tops of it were hard like its been sitting out for hours. Never again will we go to this place. The service was lousey and took forever to get our drinks. Next time well go to Abs in Springfield or Mechanicsburg or Applebees, but definnatlly not here. 70.00 fricking dollars for this crap food. If i ate at abs , it would cost less and taste a whole lot better. This place is not Recommended from me at all. If i could do half a star i would. And no they were not busy at this time. read more

Not worth the effort. I ordered take out. Specifically I ordered a cup of soup, a side of fries and a lb of garlic parmesean wings with blue cheese dressing. The food was 40 minutes later than it was supposed to be and I was told it was because 14 steaks had been ordered right before my order was placed. Okay. There are a couple things wrong with this. Steaks are a grill item where as fries and wings are a fryer items. The ordering of Steaks would have no bearing on the use of a deep fryer...so says 16 years in food service experience. On top of that my wings were so over cooked and dry that they were hard and there was no seasoning or sauce on them at all ie no flavor. They even forgot to put my order of french fries and blue cheese sauce in the take out bag. Needless to say the food was terrible and the order incomplete and that's after I waited an extra 40 minutes to get it. Once again, not worth the effort. read more

Stopped in around 7pm. Amanda was my server and she was fantastic! She suggested we try the bacon shrimp. It was delicious. I also had a chicken parmesan pizza and my husband had a horseshoe with waffle fries. We really enjoyed our meal. It's a very cool atmosphere and the owner even stopped by and chatted with us for a few minutes. Really nice guy. It's a shame some other people have had such bad experiences when ours was fantastic. read more

This place has the best pizza in town. Made it in there for the first time last weekend. Had the strawberry bruschetta pizza it was to die for. Will be making a trip back out there again. If you haven't been in there it's worth the trip!! read more

We came in to celebrate some birthdays. I'm from Chicago and there are some great pizza places there. This is my first time at Fire & Ales. We had to wait because there were lots of large groups and it was Friday Night All U Can Eat Fish. We were seated at a great table by the windows. Our group ordered the cod and several different pizzas. It was my first time eating a BBQ Chicken pizza topped with onion rings - strangely enough, it was mighty tasty! The other pizza had an assortment of mushrooms and it was good too. The cod was piping hot and crunchy. The best part of our meal was the LAVA CAKES. Since we were celebrating 2 birthdays we got 2 cakes. One small piece is so rich and delicious. It was worth the wait. Thanks for great service, delicious cake and a fun birthday. It's not quite Chicago pizza but it was really good. read more

Tried them tonight for the third and last time. Service terrible each time and this last time was the worst. Had to ask for a drink menu for a place that claims it has great beer selection. How would I know what I want to drink when a drink menu isn't provided? I wasn't offered water to drink. We waited over and hour for Mac and Cheese and a pony shoe. The server brought out my salad after the hot entree was served. Poorly managed place, terrible service each time and food is just average. Spend your time and money somewhere else. read more

I went here for my birthday which was Tuesday 6/23. Got here at 6pm. I guess its half price appetizers on Tuesday nights so it was crowded. We had 8 people in my group so we got stuck back in the Banquet room. There were 2 other parties in this tiny room so it was really really loud. Had to yell just to hear each others conversation. Before we got seated we had to have the floor cleaned due to food be all over it. The waitress was friendly a took our drink orders promptly then came back to take our food order. I ordered a dinner salad with my pizza which I asked to come out first..well the waitress brought the salad and no silverware. She said she was going to go get some and about 7 minutes later comes back and says we are out of silverware right now it is being washed. Really..why did you bring the salad out to me then. So we waited, waited finally they start bringing the pizza's out, 3 pepperoni and one kids pizza were brought out. We thought they were bringing the rest of the food out but nothing. After waiting for about 10 minutes for the rest of the food I asked the waitress where it was and why it wasn't all brought out together. Her reply, well the computer system went down so they are trying to get the orders placed as soon as possible and in the order they were entered. WHAT??? Then she brings out a little thing of apples which went with my 6 year old nephews meal. Her response I'm trying to bring things out as they come up. APPLES..really..they are pre-sliced and in a fridge. That was the point I asked for a manager. There were still 4 people in the group with no food. Manager comes out to talk to us, he agreed that all the food should have been brought out together, made no mention of the computer system going down, apologized , offered free desserts. UMM..no...I didn't want desert so he offered to pay for my meal and buy me a drink. For one I got my meal, what about the other 4 people waiting. They should have gotten their meals comped not me. So at the time the manager was talking to us my sister asked to place a to-go order, mind you this was probably around 7:15. We had to wait 45 minutes for the to-go meal. Seriously...they were either way understaffed or someone does not know how to run the restaurant. We were there for 2 hours. Needless to say I will not be going back to this Restaurant and would not recommend going to it. read more

We have been eating at Fire & Ale since it opened. We enjoy sitting outside in good weather and having a drink with dinner. The service has almost always been slow. The food has been acceptable, but is not consistently cooked in the same way. However, the last three times we have been there on a Friday night we have had to eat our dinner separately. On one occasion my entire dinner arrived ten minutes before my husband's and last Friday my husband's dinner including a salad he ordered before his meal arrived 15minutes prior to my dinner. Both times we ordered the exact same meals. We also had to request our wait staff check on our drinks which did not arrive after 10 minutes of waiting. This would not have been a concern, but when we asked our wait staff to please check; she acted offended. We were sitting in the bar and could see that the bartender was washing glasses. There was only one other person in the bar area and he had been waited on. My husband finally said that this is the last time we will go to Fire & Ale. I think if they had better management with mature help it could be a great place to dine. Maybe Sherman needs another restaurant with outdoor space for dining. read more

I've been there a few times now and NEVER a good experience. tonight i ordered and had to drive all the way back to get buffalo sauce for a BUFFALO CHICKEN HORSESHOE. then i'm sitting here eating and just found a big long hair in my cheese sauce after eating for 10 minutes. My head is shaved so before anyone thinks it's mine, try again. on top of that they have 40 workers at all time but everyone is waiting on service and their food all the time. tonight with a to go order i didnt have to wait on my hair and dry chicken horseshoe but the lady next to me said she waited for 20 minutes to even get someone to take her order. The manager was ok, said he'll give me 2 free horseshoes. I'll probably ask that he inspect them while they make them though. read more
