Went here for happy hour and along was pleased with how good the food was too! I got their cheesesteak eggrolls and they were arguably some of the best i've had! Went on a Friday and it was a chill vibe in there for happy hour, but it started filling up as it got later. Solid choice for food and drink if you're in Center City!

Randomly stopped in for a quick pint. Ended up staying for dinner & a Phillies game. Nice draft beer selection. Food menu has something for everyone. The bar tender Darrah was great. The food is really good and super fresh. It's laid back inside, not noisy. Service was great.

Finn McCool's Ale House is a total win! Located in a great, easy-to-get-to spot, it's the kind of place that feels welcoming the moment you walk in. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or settling in for longer, it's got the right vibe. The menu is huge--I was honestly torn on what to order because everything sounded so good. Luckily, our waiter steered me in the right direction and recommended the cheesesteak... and wow. Juicy, flavorful, cheesy perfection. It absolutely hit the spot. The fries were also wonderful--crispy, golden, and even better with the variety of dipping sauces they serve on the side. We also tried the wings, and it was awesome to have multiple flavor options to choose from. Great taste and seasoning--definitely something I'd order again. To start, we had the fried calamari and it was a solid app--crispy, not greasy, and paired with a great dipping sauce.

A great sports bar for the locals, many TV screens from every angle. Shout out to Matt, our amazing and hilarious bartender. He was really on top of things. He remembered our preferences and gave us out of towners some recommendations for our visit. Much appreciated! There is also a yelp check in deal for a Washington apple shot. It was tasty! I enjoyed a few Jameson + Orange slices here. It was a great night.

Was in Philly for the flower show and staying in a nearby hotel. Finn Mcools was within easy walking distance of the hotel. I ordered the Reuben and my husband ordered the chicken Parmesan. I had the option of substituting a salad for fries which I did. My choice made me very happy. The salad was really nice. A good size salad with a nice lemon vinaigrette dressing. The sandwich was not greasy as Reuben's tend to be, and it was a reasonable size. Perfect size for dinner and I really enjoyed it. My husband thought the chicken Parmesan was just OK but he thought the fries were very good. To drink I had the new trails hazy IPA and my husband had the one with the daisies on the glass Daisy cutters I think? He did enjoy that and I loved mine. The bar had a friendly atmosphere and the service was very nice. Would definitely go back here again.

Very friendly and helpful/attentive staff, delicious food, fun bar atmosphere in a great location - I really enjoyed the French Onion Soup and my friends and family all enjoyed the food they ordered, as well! Check them out!

The sandwich and fries were good! A little salty and pretty big but the other half made a nice lunch the next day. I tried the blackberry cider and it was pretty refreshing! The workers were all helpful and I loved the lights all around. We left just before it started getting crowded so I can't speak to what the bar is like later on the weekend.

Have been to Finn Mccools a few times and come away impressed each time. Very good sandwiches and drinks. Most recently, I tried the Turkey BLT and my girlfriend had the French Onion sandwich - both were standouts!

Fantastic food. Great looking bar. Prices are fair not astronomical like others in the area.

This place is right next to Tinsel and we needed to soak up the liquor! The service was really nice and they had outside heater lamps during the pandemic. Honestly, my Shepard's pie was liquified mashed potatoes with grounded meat and veggies. It wasn't baked well. I ate a quarter of the meal. We also had a shot that was cool. Hmm, it was an available place to grab some food and go.

    View from outside. Cool place!

A group of us stumbled upon this place and were extremely impressed with the cheesesteak sandwiches. I mean, really impressed! Note: we added grilled onions. Great server and great food = 5 stars!

We stopped for drinks on the way to dinner. There were 2 bartenders and they were turning people away because they didn't have enough staff. They weren't friendly but they were also clearly overworked. We were lucky to get our drinks and put in an order for an appetizer, because everyone after us was turned away. We ordered chicken skewers which we didn't expect to be deep fried. They were ok, nothing special and not what we thought. We would skip next time and let the people who didn't get to come in take our place.

Yummy Vienna style Ale made right here in the USA!

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

I got the mozzarella sticks were bomb with the sauce and I got the creamy Mac and cheese. I was excited for the Mac and cheese because I had one last night that was amazing from somewhere else. I got back to my hotel my second but I found a hair. Like a fatty I threw it to the side and kept eating it anyways. Unlike a true fatty, I didn't finish it. So unholy for a Mac and cheese lover like myself... but it was too acidic for me. I couldn't keep eating it. So I'm basing this review solely on the food. The service seemed ok? They seemed nice, but can't judge that as I did take out.

This way it was easy for our group to talk. I saw someone else drinking a drink that looked really good so I just ordered that without looking at the menu.
