Tony is awesome! He has done a fantastic job on my hair from the very beginning. I even chose him to cut my hair for my wedding day! He is very nice and easy to talk to, but has never chatted me up if I was more in the mood for silence. Fantastic hair stylist, recommend 11/10 The shop itself is very clean and a relaxing environment. In the past I have tended to hop around from shop to shop because eventually the hair stylist will forget how my hair is supposed to be cut and will mess it up, or will just generally give me a negative experience and I just move on to someone new. Horrible shave!! Completely messed up my beard that I had been growing for 3 months. Screwed up the lines and shaved off more than needed. First shaved one side lower then realized it so shaved the other lower but way lower. So then had to drop the other side some more. Just a business trying to turn over customers quickly instead of doing right by the customer. They brand themselves as a premium place but service is terrible. So it gets worse. Been coming here for a few years and overall have been happy until my last experience. I was running a few minutes late and told them I was a just a few blocks away. I arrived and was just literally one minute late they refused to see me and I was just getting a simple beard trim. I could see the stylist sitting in the waiting room doing absolutely nothing. Receptionist wouldn't even ask they stylist. Just ridiculous customer service and they don't seem to care if they lose business. That's not how you treat returning loyal customer. read more

Had to update my review. Previously I enjoyed going here and being taken care of. However My regular barber left and since then things have gone downhill fast. I have tried 3 other people and while all were nice they seem to be focused on fast cut and get you out of the chair. I don't want that for $40 haircut. I want to be treated to $40 worth of service. Used to be they would put you in the chair for and hour and take care of you. Not any more though. My suggestion if you want fast go to a quick clips chain. If you want to be pampered for a little bit of cost go somewhere else. Finley's is no longer worth the price which sucks cause I really enjoyed this place. Atmosphere still gets a star so 2 stars it is. If you don't believe me look at all the reviews. Nothing recent. Everything is all from months ago or more. My son and I have gone to this shop for over a year. Usually we get pretty good service. Yesterday, we went and had a bad experience. I made a reservation for my son and myself with two barbers so we could get our haircut at the same time. My son had an appointment which would have greatly benefited from being cut at the same time as me. In addition, the regular massage was omitted for both of us because the barber was very rushed. She was running late and didn't even take me until after 20 minutes of waiting. Bottom line, the service seems to have deteriorated over the past few months. We'll be looking for another place to get a haircut. There are after all plenty to choose from. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I felt that I'm obligated to do so this time. The staff there are super friendly and very welcoming, and overall the hair cut was good. the coloring part was not good. I paid money for the coloring service to cover the few grey hair I have, but the grey hair is still there. I see no difference. The worst part was tapering my hair from the back and neck. The clippers he used, were super sharp, it cut my skin (and I was never told!). The barber was rushing because he had another customer to take care of. So the color did not take because it was not given enough time to work (not even 2 min)! I left paying full price for a service that cut my neck and did not dye my grays. I have been a customer for 7 months and will not be coming back. The three stars instead of the one would have given is because I was told I will be refunded (still waiting on that.) read more

Very professional cut, and old-fashioned barber shops are LEGIT! Reminds me a little of the awesome, fusty little barber shop where I always had my hair cut as a kid, but way more upscale. Everyone at Finley's is very professional, and it has a great atmosphere. There's always sports playing on a TV somewhere, if that's your thing (it's not mine, but I don't mind it). There are sodas always stocked in the fridge in the lounge, and beers stocked up front (again, if that's your thing). I guess you could call it a man-spa. ;) read more

We spotted a Finley's, walked in, requested an appointment, and were booked within the hour. The gentleman at the front desk was super nice (and kind to my two-year old daughter), and it was cool that they were able to work us in under tight time constraints. The haircut and service for my son were top notch. He's a little shy, but he had a good experience. He looked like a champ afterward. The waiting lounge at this location is on point. I was looking for a barbershop for my boyfriend to call home and I think he may have found it! I called the shop to make a same-day appointment for him, the receptionist who answered the phone was really nice, bubbly and made a great first impression. Once we got there, we were asked if it was our first time there (which it was) and was walked into their waiting lounge that had complimentary drinks, comfy chairs, and a tv with a football game on. Everyone seemed very friendly and was all smiles. He had his haircut by Heather. Very sweet girl and kept asking him to make sure that he was okay and happy with his cut. He had asked her about getting a facial straight-razor shave but unfortunately she isn't licensed to do so so he ended up not getting it done and just got it shaved by trimmers. Everything was very nice and the experience was great, he had just wished that everyone there would've been able to offer all the services. Pricing is a bit higher than one would expect but you do honestly get what you pay for at Finley's.. he said he will definitely be back! read more

Terrible, cut hair way too short. I asked for 0.5 inches off the top, and she cut 1.5 inches, and claimed it was .5 inches. Finleys has been my go to barbershop for years. They taught me how to properly take care of my beard got me on projects I need to keep it healthy and shiny, but in the last few months golf completely changed and lost your way. The barbers you'll have art up to the standard of what you're used to be even creased all your prices, your customer service has fallen off, and now unnecessary charges for just trying to reschedule an appointment is made it to where I go to one of the other hundreds of barbershops. It's sad to see a great company lose its way but I know these things happen and I just have to find another place now. read more

I'm a recent transplant to the DFW area and turned to the fine people of Yelp for recommendations on where to get my mop of mess I call hair cut. Seeing that Finley's Barber Shop Plano got stellar reviews and was in my area, I decided to give them a try. I made my reservation online and was kind of weirded out that they require you to input a card to "hold" your reservation and adhere to their cancellation policy. I haven't been to a place like that before, but I guess with so many people flaking nowadays, it's just how things are. No worries, since I KNEW I'd be on time. I was actually 15 minutes early for my appointment. I came into the shop and was promptly greeted. Another barber told me that I could hang out in their lounge in the back and partake of their fine beverages, which I did. I chugged my beverage thinking that I wouldn't have long to enjoy it anyway. Now this is where the story gets interesting. It's 6:00pm CST. My appointment was for 6:00pm CST. I was still in the lounge, now with no more delicious beverage to enjoy! I told myself, oh it won't be much longer, so I avoided cracking open another drink. Narrator: It was much longer. Now it's 6:15pm CST and I'm finally in the barber's chair. Great...15 minutes late and no repercussion from the establishment really for being late (yet I had to agree to their cancellation policy. Good grief). The haircut itself was ok, but I found it weird when Michael, my barber, asked if I wanted my hair washed. Um...isn't that what I signed up for (I signed up for the FINLEY'S PREMIER HAIR PACKAGE | $35)? One key thing to point out-- the premier hair package only includes a massaging shampoo (not conditioning) yet each barber booth has BOTH shampoo and conditioner. C'mon man, my appointment was 15 minutes late-- couldn't you at least comp me a conditioning? Oh and the massaging shampoo? Yeah, it's a 2 minute max rubbing in of the shampoo. Might be luxurious if you were a boot camp trainee and you're only used to a 30 second shower, but for $35, I should have gotten better. Oh and the barber got my shirt collar wet while washing my hair =[ In short, maybe my experience was a one-off thing, but Finley is currently at 0/1 for me and I think I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Shelee at Finley's in Frisco (She just moved from the Plano location)! I have been going to Shelee for a couple of years and have always been very pleased with the results. I am so happy with Shelee's work that I have followed her from Southlake to Frisco, and am willing to make the 40 minute drive solely because of her. There are no telling how many barbers/hair stylists I have seen in 50+ years, but I have never had any that were as careful and diligent as Shelee. Every single time, she takes whatever time is necessary to do or re-do any aspect of the haircut, beard trim, waxing, or facial. Shelee is extremely personable and genuinely cares about her clients and the results they get. In addition to having Shelee, Finley's Frisco has another Superstar, Sorcha, who handles the front desk. Sorcha will always greet you warmly and ensure that you are well taken care of - and she has a beautiful smile! Finley's is clean, well organized, professionally run, and has a website that is extremely easy to use when setting up appointments online. Choose Finley's, Shelee, and Sorcha. Fortunately, Christian Z. here at Finley's was able to deliver on both of my expectations.
