I had a photo shoot for a magazine cover and needed a haircut. New to the area, and after one meh experience I have Barbero a try. I am so glad I did. It's not really an old school spot, but the vibe is pleasant. The work AJ did on my hair was standout. He took time to look at the photos I had of my hair, walked me through a set of clarifying questions, developed a plan, and gave me an awesome haircut. Online appointments were easy to make. Simple, straightforward, and always available are three great things for booking. But man, the service...simply incredible. read more

Fantastic barbershop I drive all the way from Plano to ALLEN just to get my haircut Eric! Amazing cuts

I made an appointment with Erick to get a skin fade. The shop was easy to find and had a very relaxed atmosphere. Erick's attention to detail was incredible! I came to the appointment in dire need of a haircut; I left with an amazing skin fade. I highly recommend this barbershop in general and Erick in particular. You won't be disappointed! read more

Took my four year-old here today to get his haircut and it turned out great! I've been very picky where I take him especially since he has longer hair, the kid cut places usually aren't great. Jordan was our barber and he was very patient and did a great job on my sons hair. We will definitely be back. read more

First time customer today. Don't have much up top anymore but BRANDON did a GR8 job with what he had to work with. 100% HAPPY!! He took time to learn what I was looking for, and checked in thru the work to make sure I was good with it. AND... the wash, face skin treatment and hot towel made me want to have a cigarette ;0) See ya again soon Brandon! read more

This place is awesome! Friendly people, good vibes, great work! I had hair down to my back that I'd been growing for 8 years. Decided to finally cut it all off, went online to book and was scheduled in less than 5 minutes. Christopher was ready when I got there and helped walk me through what I wanted since it had been 8 years, and then he did his little magic to give me the perfect cut. All around great experience and I will definitely be back. read more

Barbero Men’s Grooming - Before and After - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Allen, Texas

Edit: less than 15 minutes after posting my review I was contacted by Melissa who gathered some more information from me and offered a complementary shampoo and blow dry. While my initial experience was distasteful, this level of customer service makes me want to give Barbero a second chance. I was quite unhappy with my recent visit to Barbero Men's Grooming. I will start with the positive aspects of my visit; the hair stylist was professional and knowledgeable, my hair didn't look bad even though I didn't get the cut I requested, and the hot towel and shampoo was very soothing. Now the negative experience I had was partly made worse by the $75 price tag of the cut, which would have been an acceptable price aside from the other problems I had. First, the stylist did not cut my hair the way I requested, cutting the hair too short in the front and sides while leaving the back long. Second, a customer came in with a non-service dog which was allowed to roam at the end of its leash and put its head in my lap during different times during the cut as well as jumping on me when I got up for the shampoo and licking my legs at times. None of the staff addressed this behavior, and the owner only casually pulled the dog back just to let it come back again. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I made an appointment and they called me three times to move it around. When I agreed to an earlier appointment, they called me an hour before and asked me to come in later due to them taking a walk in. The barber should NOT of taken a walk in if he was not able to accommodate my original appointment. When I mentioned that on the phone they informed me sorry he was the only one who was available for the walk in. THIS SHOP IS VERY POORLY RUN AND NEEDS A NEW MANAGER read more

Insanely overpriced for a mid quality cut (being nice) Spent $135 out the door to get a hair a beard trim when I could have gotten twice the quality for half or even less this price in Dallas. Floyd's88 cuts are way better than this imo and that is a mid tier place. Nice people and nice building. But everything after that is just unpleasant. Will absolutely never come here again. My real barber (who cuts Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks players) would be $80 out the door and have a real fade. I have maybe 1-2" of fade then terrible everything else. Super disappointed. Top of my hair is way too long. My beard was hardly touched other than lining up a bit. I am astounded that this took 1.5 hours to complete. Dude spent 30-40 minutes fading by my sideburns and that's about all the fade I got. I cannot believe this is the price they charge, as well as having no deal for getting a cut and a beard trim. 2/5 is being nice in my opinion. Their lowest tip option is 30% btw. I don't think a hand shake at the door and asking if you want a drink is worth any of this. Edit: You boast about quality while bashing Floyd's. But I have never once had bald spots behind my ear or uneven hair on my head after going to Floyd's. Which I only mentioned Floyd's because that is what I consider a mid tier cut. Which has always been better quality than what I received at your incredible establishment. This has nothing to do with my barber. I saw your shop and high reviews and gave it a go while I was in town. But I will indeed not return. Nice try trying to twist my words and act like you know what I am thinking definitely not something you'd hear from such an incredible establishment. I will apologize about my total as I assumed the $98 would be taxed (bank statement still only shows $98 so I am not sure what else to go off of) I have bald spots behind my ears. My sideburns are not evenly faded. Next to my eyes above my sideburns are completely different lengths on each side. My beard was hardly thinned out at all. I included a photo and showed a video of what i like. I am not about to make my 1.5 hour haircut into a minute longer. How is this considered quality? I am genuinely curious. read more

My wife always criticizes my hair when I get it done and she made my son and I an appointment here with Erick. Honestly the best hair cut I've ever had. I explained how I like my hair with a picture and he hit it 100%. My son is only 3 but his hair cut was also a hit. It grew in just right for a toddler to stretch it out between cuts. He did awesome with my toddlers hair, especially being a youngster. read more

Hard to recommend a place where the person cutting your hair has AirPods in the entire time and faces you away from the mirror to cut your hair. For $60, I could not be more disappointed and will not be sending my son back. read more

I met with Anthony for a beard service and the experience was refreshing. He was personable, attentive, professional, and above all - skilled. Great Service. Super friendly barbers. I trusted them and they delivered. I recommend them for a shave and beard trim

Has a high class vibe when walking in. They have a nice little selection of beverages to offer while you wait. The barber that worked with me, whose name I cannot recall, was very professional and easy going. Going. I was very happy with the end product and plan on going back to get it done again when needed. read more

After seeing the stellar reviews here, I thought I'd get a haircut here myself. My first impression of the place was good: I was greeted immediately even though I arrived a bit before my appointment, and I was offered a beverage. It then took 15 minutes after my scheduled time for my haircut to begin. Not a big deal as the place did seem busy at the time, but not something I was too happy about either. As for my haircut, I asked for a tapered fade (later changed to full fade) with a textured fringe. The fade itself was done very nicely, nothing to complain about there. However, I felt that the fringe, arguably the most important part, was cut far too short. To me, it felt closer to a buzzcut than a fringe... I felt horrible after seeing the result, but I didn't want to say anything negative to my hairdresser as he had just spent over an hour cutting my hair and was super nice. Left extremely disappointed. read more

They fit me in last minute yesterday even though it's right before the holidays and set me up with Christian. Christian gave me a great haircut, great conversation and provided great service. I'm very particular and she cut it just how I wanted it....mid bald fade, dropped a bit in the back, faded up to hard part on one side and scissor trim. I will definitely be going back. Cut was great, service was exceptional. read more

I came to Barbero around noon on a weekday to get my long hair trimmed. Once I arrived I was welcomed with a beverage of water, soda or whiskey. My type of place. Is it possible for the best to get better? Yes, in the case of Barbero! Anthony is passionate barber that takes great pride in his craft/art and it shows with the experience he's created at their new location. Sleek atmosphere, clean and distraction-free (read: no contrived "man cave" atmosphere, no BS pool tables, etc.) and skilled staff, you can tell Barbero is focused on the customer experience from start to finish. I've been going to Anthony for a while and he's the best at what he does and he's apparently made sure his other staff meets those standards. Highly recommend. read more

Was traveling for business and came across Barbero as I wanted a nicer barber experience and it did not disappoint! The parking lot can be very busy and spaces might be difficult during peak hours. Easy to set up an appointment through their website, and was greeted with choice of beer or whiskey. Jordan was my barber and was one of the kindest guys you'll ever hope to meet. He was all about the attention to detail in the cut, And I left feeling great! You'll pay quite a bit for your experience here, but it's well worth it in my opinion. I got a hot towel head shave and beard service which clocked out at $115 including tax and tip. Will I return? Absolutely, when my travels take me to DFW this will be on my list! read more

Erick Perez was very skilled, professional, and fulfilled my expectations perfectly. Very good haircut, and no complaints.

Not only did they butcher my hair, ruin my beard to the fact I had to shave it off as soon as I got home because the lines were so bad, but they charged me $80 for a haircut. I just moved here from New York and for the same service in New York, the most expensive place on earth, it is $37. I will never go back, nor do I recommend it to anyone. read more
