Another great haircut and shave. Freddie Wright (No relation and cousin of owner, Randy Wright) gave me a great haircut. I went yesterday and Tommie Morehead gave me a great razor shave! read more

Wright's Barber Shop - I went today and had Tommie shave off my goatee or whatever you want to call that facial hair. Hopefully I will keep it this way. - Barbers Near Me - Plano, Texas

Terrible service and the haircut was booty. They shaved me bald when I asked for a light trim. The overall vibe was classy but the service was just so bad. read more

I've gotten good haircuts from Randy and Nate. Cut comes with a neck shave. Friendly, quick, old school barbers. Would recommend.

Good quality hair cut. I was a walk-in and only had a short wait even though they were short a couple of barbers.

Last Saturday I visited the Wright's Barbershop. My long term barber had retired, and I found this barbershop online. Tommie welcomed me as I entered the door. I sat down, and he asked me how I would like my hair cut. I told him, and we had a great visit. And I got a good looking haircut. When the haircut was done, he introduced me to his fellow barbers, Fred, and the owner, Randy. I am happy to have found Wright's Barbershop, which welcomed me as a walk-in last Saturday. They will welcome you, too. read more

Any place that has had my business since 1992 and still in business says something about lasting...except my hair. Not so much anymore. Posted a few new photos of last haircut for 2021 at current price. Just 3 barbers available most days. Effective 1/1/2022 price will be $25. read more

10:00 on Saturday morning and the day before Easter and you're already closed for the day? Come on guys are you a business or a hobby?

Wright's barber shop is a family owned business in Plano since 1962. I have been having my hair cut by Randy Wright for many years. I highly recommend this "old fashioned" barber shop for your next haircut. read more

Found this place on here and couldn't have been more impressed! The barber was extremely friendly and did a great job on the hair cut! You definitely won't be disappointed! read more

This is the best haircutting experience I have ever had. I go to these guys every month and enjoy every moment. You want a great haircut, get there early to avoid the line. It is nice to see gentlemen running a great store and doing fine work. read more

Today was my first visit. I wasn't too impressed with any of it. Waited about 30 minutes and got cold feet watching them work.

Make sure you read the reviews or know ahead of time that they don't take cash! We were waiting for 20 minutes and i found out by reading a Yelp review. Also it was weird walking in as my son and I felt a little out of place as there was no sign in sheet or even someone to acknowledge and welcome you in. All 4 barbers glanced up and continued cutting thier customer's hair without saying hi or letting us know where to sign up which was really awkward and has never happened to me before at a barbershop. When I confirmed that they only take cash we left....we will also not be coming back anytime soon. read more

They have been in this location for 33 years, so I think they are doing something wright. I always feel at home and love to visit with the guys and get a haircut. Would highly recommend! read more

Wright's Barbershop is everything you need and nothing you want. My boyfriend loves it because it's a great place to get an affordable haircut, which is seemingly impossible nowadays. They do a good job with his easy to maintain short cut and clean him up with a straight razor. You can find fancier, but you'll pay a fancier dime as well. Wright's is a good cut for a good buck. read more

I have been going to Wrights Since 1972 at the palisades shopping center, Mr Wright and Brother Billy cut my Dads hair. Randy gave my son number 2 his first hair cut. I drive an hour and half to get my hair cut at Wrights. I think 5! Stars for sure. John Stewart 214-232-9694 read more

There are only two Master barbers in the shop. Mr Right and his cousin. And that is it. There is a young fellow in there that talks a lot but that's it. His haircuts are terrible. Whenever you hear Tommy that is his name just run away. It is worth waiting for the master Barbers then getting in Tommy's hands. He got me in telling me that his dad was a barber and I got food thinking than the sun might have an experience but he chopped me up literally. By the way I knew his dad and he was in good either. read more

The shop is open, and there is plenty of room for social distancing. They take care to keep you safe, and are friendly and welcoming. The cuts are good and reasonably priced. Just bring cash or checkbook since they don't take credit cards. read more

I came in today to treat my Dad to get his haircut and based on the previous reviews I just knew I had to take him there because I know my Dad LOVES the old school ways of barber shops, the razor cut shave and the hot towels. So when I walked in, there were 4 guys that all looked around my dad's age--yup I knew my Dad would enjoy it because he was surrounded by guys that were just like him having a good time. When I sat in their waiting area I felt like I had stepped out of a time machine and landed in the 60s or 70s. Still a lotta fun to watch though. Lol So he was able to get his haircut right away (btw I wish I had the name of who it was that did his haircut and shave. All I know was that he was the only one with black hair) and when I asked if they did offer the hot towel and razor blade shave, I just went ahead and added that as well. My Dad and I were very pleased with his haircut and shave and I'll defiantly bring him back again. **The one tip I will tell people is they are a CASH ONLY establishment so make sure BEFORE you arrive to bring cash with you. Because this was my first visit, I wasn't aware that the method of payment was cash only, but they were kind enough to let me go to Albertsons next door while my Dad stayed at the Barber Shop chatting away with the Barbers like there was no tomorrow.** Overall I absolutely recommend Wright's Barber Shop to anyone who loves just a good old fashioned haircut and shave and Here's The Services they Offer: · Regular Haircuts (Mens & Kids) · Flat tops · Fades & Military Cuts · Layer Cuts · Razor Cuts read more

Fantastic old school barber shop. Nothing fancy. No hot young girls with exposed cleavage giving terrible haircuts. No loud music. Just a bunch of older dudes giving great haircuts. They do have pretty tight hours and Saturdays wait can be long. I have a hard time making it there by closing time (5pm) from Love Field when I get off work at 4pm, so Randy waits for me and is willing to stay past 5 if necessary. Now that, my friends, is how you run a business. read more

I've had a male barber before, and I was amazed by the difference. I've yet to find one since, and I may have found the place. I have to tell your first, and upfront...CASH & CHECK ONLY. They were VERY cool and let me go pull some cash, luckily my bank is at the corner. Just know, CASH & CHECK ONLY. Initially it's hidden between an Asian restaurant and a yarn store. When you walk it, it's VERY bear walled. There's a TV, they had golf on but I tolerated it, and a mounted deer head...maybe a poster or 2. That's it. Could use more, but I'm certainly pleased it wasn't models with fake haircuts. I got a simple cut and trim ($16), and Randy did a great job. The barbers were older men, and I felt that they knew what they were doing from experience. After the cut, usually they take some trimmers and trim the lines and neck. Nope, warm cram and a straight razor. That says CLASS to me. Overall I was pleased, certainly felt like a place to make a few guy jokes and get a cut...maybe some beers too. I have a normal hair stylist, and I prefer the deal I get there. I WILL go to Wrights again, and might take my dad if he needs his ears lowered. read more

Classic spot - finally found a great spot for a haircut! I've lived in Plano for over 20 years. I had sort of given in to bad cuts at the "fast hair cut places" (super cuts etc) and could never justify spending $40-60 (or more) at the fancy spots, so the years just ticked on... Discovered this spot via yelp and dropped in. Three guys working on a Wed with a few regular patrons waiting for their favorite barber. Loved the experience and cut I got by Joe was great. Knew his trade and suggested a few things that worked out great. If you like the classic attention to detail of the barber, this is the spot. And don't be surprised if there are a few customers waiting. The place is popular (and for good reason!) I will be back! read more

Been twice in a row now, and all the 5-star reviews below are correct. This is a classic, old-school *Barbershop* (not a "hair-styling" salon). The gentlemen in the shop know what the heck they're doing and obviously have years of experience doing it. You *will* get classic extras like having your eyebrows trimmed & your neck shaved with warm lather and a straight razor. You *won't* get some 20-something, unisex stylist trying to sell you "product" for your hair. No fancy chrome or neon in the place, either. Just a spare, clean shop with sports on TV and a barber who'll chat with you about it, if that's your deal. The price is incredibly reasonable as well. A GREAT, std. men's haircut is just $16 (so be a good guy and give 'em at least a $20 & "keep the change"). As other reviews have mentioned, it's cash or check ONLY, so be prepared. read more

Older Barber in chair close to door (don't know name) was unacceptable. Haircut was marginally adequate and beard trim was totally unacceptable. (Un even and poor definition) Multiple nicks with razor. (Should not have happened) Other serious concerns with this barber that are not be appropriate to detail in this forum. --- 2nd chair: (2nd from door) younger barber. Was good. Good hair cut and beard trim. He saw what was going on in first chair and should have spoken up to prevent injury and unsatisfied customer. That is the only fault for him. I probably would go back and try 2nd chair if so disposed to give Wrights a second chance. Seriously wanted to treat both family members to a hot towel razor shave but didn't due to issues noted in review. Overall, Wrights has the decor, location and resources to be the GO TO barber in the area. They need to fix problems with their staff and quality of product. Hate to give 1 star but in good conscience could not see a reason (outside perhaps of charity) to give a second. read more

Good barber shop with a bit of class. Moved from Los Angeles to Plano was in search of a good barbershop for a while and this spot is so far the best. Got my cut exactly what I wanted spot on. There is a lot of chain placed so called barbershops in the Dallas area that charge double the price, but prices doesn't necessarily mean a quality cut. This place is a true barbershop that is a work of art. Best way to describe a good local barbershop is how local brewery is to good craft beer, how local roasted bean is to coffee and what craft cut is to a barbershop. Amazing its under $20? I was like man dude, most barbers in the LA the area charge $30-$40 with tip with this kinda of cut. It's a gem in Plano for sure. read more

My dad moved here from Chicago and he wanted a "guy's place" to go to in Plano, Tx. "No girlie hair dresser" was his request. We found Wright's Barber Shop after asking a few female hairdressers. My dad is old fashioned and truly believes a barber who uses a straight razor and hot towels is the only place he will go for his haircut! So what am I trying to say? This place is definitely for men to come and get themselves all handsome without the girlie frills. read more

I've been going to Wright's for close to ten years now. The guys there do a great job, and Randy runs a great shop. I was very relieved when the barbershop opened back up after COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. But now they seem to be closed again. Every time I've driven by since mid-September, they've been closed. And there's no message on their phone or front door about why. Hope all is okay and they come back. read more

I started going here almost a year ago after reading some reviews of the place. This is a real old school barber shop that is perfect for old white guys like me. Gotten to know the barbers and Randy is my go to guy. I recently had to trim down my beard and handlebar mustache and he worked patiently with me on it and did a great job. Very reasonable prices too. Cash only, so come prepared for that. read more

After so many years of having my hair cut by women in salons mostly catering to women, it was just spectacular having my hair cut in a real barber shop. If you just want you hair cut well, not styled, and you love the feel of having your neck shaved by a razor with warm hot shaving cream, you need to run, not walk, to this place. I left with a silly grin on my face, I was so happy. I don't know how I have lived here so long and not known about this place. read more

Outstanding Barber Shop. All of the gentlemen were welcoming and friendly. It was just as if I was getting my hair cut in a small town. Really enjoyed the experience and also got an awesome haircut. Cool group of guys in there, but the haircut just wasn't what I was looking for. I asked for a 4 fade with a side part and a tapered neckline. This resulted in my neckline being completely uneven.. The fade is alright (no lines in it) but the back of my hair doesn't even feel like it was touched. It seems like he faded my sides but gave me a 4 in the back (not what I asked for). The price is great.. 21$ but won't be bringing my business back here. read more

I've been using the barber shop for a year now. The staff is great and offers a small town feel. Randy is my guy and he almost always has short line, and well worth the wait for me. There are four chairs, so go find your favorite barber. Give it a try. The shop has been around for many years and family owned. I'm always laughing at the banter. If you want a cut on Saturday, be there when they open. read more

It's just a good barbershop. Period. No-frills or thrills just men cutting hair. Walked out looking good and feeling good.

I went there 3 times. First time was ok - but I assumed the barber would get better as we communicated over time. It was the opposite. The cuts got progressively worse even though I tipped well each time. I am not interested in a kid's quality cut. I need a professional cut where the barber listens well to the feedback and requests and is consistent in quality every time. I also noticed that the attitude was more like they were doing me a favor instead of working to earn my business. It seemed like since I wasn't an "old-timer" there, they weren't even interested in making me feel welcome. Zero conversation - indifferent attitude. Finally, I have to wonder, what kind of a company only accepts cash and no credit cards these days? This is definitely not the shop for me. read more
