Fantastic service and a great selection of watches. The cases are curated well and arranged neatly - while they offer a solid selection it does not appear over crowded. The interior is clean and quite inviting. The staff was very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. They will work with you and try to get you the best deal on whatever you are looking for while allowing you to look around and take your time. I took my Datejust here because it was running a bit slow, and I wanted to get it checked out. Pierre and the entire team were very pleasant, offered drinks and snacks, and promptly took my watch to their in-house service department to get inspected. The horologist found that it was in fact running somewhat out of the correct range, and regulated the watch. Within 20 minutes, I was out of there without being charged a cent. Girlfriend bought me a silver bracelet from here as a present. At time of sale they told her I could come back and get the length adjusted for free. I took it in to get it adjusted and they sent it off for shortening, and upon going back to the store to pick it up, I was charged over $50 for the shortening. I understand the charge, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth paying extra for a gift my girlfriend got me and was assured an easy adjustment post purchase. read more

I bought my wife's engagement ring at Fink's three years ago and have not regretted the decision. I'm not a jewelry expert by any means, but Fink's staff was very helpful during my search. I shopped in at least 7 different places in the Durham / Chapel Hill area, but Fink's had the best service, prices, and selection. We go back every 6 months for maintenance of the ring, and they're always ready to take a look at it and shine it up. I would recommend shopping around at different locations, and it depends on what you're looking for in jewelry, but I think Fink's is one of the better stores I encountered during my hunt for an engagement ring. read more

This was my first time visiting this location. I was impressed that they have an on site repair service and the pricing for repairs was economical. I do believe they can improve providing stellar customer service to all clientele. It landed that as if I was approached with bias, and although one gentleman was not helping anyone he was very short with my questions about Fink's as an establishment. I was actually in the market for a timepiece and because of their service delivery decided to purchase from a different jewelry store. Fink's is a high quality jeweler, and their customer service is at the same caliber as their wares. My wife and I visited Fink's some time ago to have a set of antique pearls restrung, and the work was finished before promised and with more than ample explanation of what to expect from the restringing job, including the initial stiffness of the cord. This was a top notch job. More recently, I had to take one of my watches, an older model Seiko, in for service. The gentlemen I spoke with informed me that Fink's does not service Seiko watches, since they do not carry them, and they did not currently have a watchmaker on site to assist with non-authorized repairs. He then suggested that Kronos, at the Southpoint food court, could take care of it, at a likely nominal fee. This entire exchange was carried out courteously, with no condescension to be detected. I've been a Fink's customer for almost four years, purchased multiple luxury timepieces from Allan, and would never consider another AD. Shocked and very disappointed. I have a love for all types and styles jewelry and pretty much anything that sparkles. I love them all. Necklaces , watches , rings , earrings . My mother has passed down this love to me. Growing up I can remember she always had earrings on and necklaces to flatter the top she was wearing. She was always the picture of style and grace ( to me and to others)... so know that you know this you can imagine her massive jewelry collection. She has collected estate pieces, new modern styles and classic stammer pieces. So she has spent many hours inside this store. The employees have been so amazingly helpful and they never cease to amaze with there inventory. But Thai location recent was sold and the new management have. Even there for a few months ( I'm not sure exactly what was sold and if this store is a different retailer ) If you know please feel free to correct me ) I just know my mom was surprise to here the store is not the same and again I know I'm not explaining then switch correctly. Ok so to get to the point. Just in he last 5 years my mother has been very loyal to this company. She returned multiple times to give them her business. She has always felt like they appreciated any sale large or small. Shahs bought 3 Rolex watches from them along with my first pair of diamond studs and many Mikimoto pearls. Speaking of Mikimoto this is why she was in he store this week. Her sales lady that always helps her had ordered a custom pearl with a scent diamond and we rescibed the email saying it just arrived and she would need to try to come ASAP because if the rarity of this specific piece. When she arrive the lady that originally helped us was not available so another employee was there to help ( my mom actually remembered him from her years shopping there) so after viewing the pearl. She had brought a necklace she bought at this location and it was two short so the manager was called over and she requested a repair to be done. All that was needed was a inch of the chain to be added. Which is less than $100 in gold prices and including the charge to actual have an employee to attach the extension. He looked at her and with out even a hesitation said NO ... now I understand someone might think she was just asking for something for free. But she was in the store considering purchasing a pair of earring they were more than $10,000 and oh he would have done any research he would have seen she has spend more I. That store in the past year that I make all year. It's would have been a just a small but very effective curtesy. She was embarrassed and shocked that he just said " No" without even explaining his reasons. Which was that he had no idea who the customer was and obviously didn't care enough about his sales to learn anything about the customer that was in his store looking at those truly breathtaking earring. She has sworn to never return and she is still disappointed that his man did. I don't usually write reviews, but when my mom can to me with tears in her eyes just because of this experience. Carlos, especially, but all of the staff were incredible to work with and are always helpful even if they are doing something that will not make them a dime. Carlos did an INCREDIBLE job to find the PERFECT diamond for my engagement ring and the perfect band. He and the entire staff are so responsive and will go ABOVE AND BEYOND. So far I've been waiting 20 minutes for service. I waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. I absolutely understand that is a Sunday and the staff are attending to other clients (ooh sales!), but seriously - look up as soon as someone walks in the door and acknowledge they are there and important to you. You never know who they are or how much repeat business they may give you. Right now you won't be getting mine. I don't mind waiting, but don't make ANY client feel invisible. read more
