The moving crew was polite, efficient and took care with our things and even considerate not wanting to track up our floors while bringing in our things! They ruined a Queen Mattress from Ashley Furniture. When they loaded the item on the truck in Georgia, they put it on the back and didn't wrap it. Before it got to Vermont it was then wrapped in a clear plastic but was soaked inside. I sent them pictures of the water on the mattress. It is ruined. They no longer sell this mattress but the link included is a comparable mattress. I'd like to be paid out $950 for the mattress they ruined. They advised me to file a claim with CSI, I did on August 22nd, CSI Closed it on November 21st and said they no longer do business with Finest Fellas Moving, to contact them. I contacted them on November 21st to follow up on the claim, on November 24th they responded with "Good morning, We have received your claim information and it is currently being processed. I booked this company for a long distance move from Florida to Idaho. The price was good and they stuck to it. But you don't get what you paid for! First, it took 33 days from pick up to delivery despite being told multiple times "It will be there tomorrow. " When our belongings arrived, the driver was a good guy. However, this moving company brokered out the process. Our belongings arrived. I should say most of our belongings arrived. A tote with art work was not delivered. Updating the following review - After posting my review I was able to get in touch with the dispatch center the morning after my scheduled move. I again spoke with Kira, who honestly didn't even apologize for what happened. She would ask me like 2 questions then put me on hold to speak with a manager then come back and ask like 1 or 2 more questions and then put me on hold again. She tried to re-schedule the movers and I told her absolutely not. I asked for a full refund of my deposit, which then prompted another hold, and then she came back and stated she could do that and I would see the returned funds within 2-14 business days. Then I got an email from Steve one of the owners. He apologized and tried to offer me a "discount" due to this inconvenience. I politely declined and stated I had booked another company. He offered me a $100 plus my deposit back for the inconvenience. Hire at your own risk. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING SERVICE. I cannot stress enough to avoid this company. If I could give 0 stars I would. I originally booked with them approximately 2 weeks before my move and spoke with Chase who was extremely nice, helpful and made me feel comfortable about my long distance move. My move was originally scheduled for October 8th. When I booked with Chase he said that the 8th would work great because they have another truck coming into the area the day before and that they would use the 9th as a back up in case of emergency but that it was just precautionary and the 8th was good to go. I then based my entire move around the truck coming on the 8th. Let's fast forward now to October 7th, the day before my move. I was told I'd get a call with the pick up window during the day before my move. I wait until about 2pm before I call Chase back, I don't reach him but another service agent who transfers me over to Dispatch. I speak with Kira who states, they are very behind because of the hurricanes in Florida, which Is understandable but that I should be getting a call within a half hour or so with my window time. I don't get a call until almost 5pm CST (6pm ET), stating my move is actually now on Wednesday and my window isn't until 2-6pm. I'm told that the Tuesday/Wednesday window given to me by chase was a window and the 2nd day was not a "back up" as indicated. Kira advised that there was nothing they could do about the Tuesday window and that my pick up was scheduled for Wednesday. I now had to re-schedule the rest of my move because my belongings wouldn't be out of my apartment until a day after I thought it would be. Wednesday rolls around and THE MOVERS DID NOT SHOW UP. I got no call, no warning nothing. I tried reaching out to Chase and the dispatch team and no one answered. There is no after hours team and no way to get a hold of anyone. I engaged Mitchell Horowitz from FFMS to transport my possessions, including a full-sized gun safe weighing approximately 690 pounds. Mr. Horowitz assured me that FFMS possessed the necessary expertise to handle the safe, which was explicitly listed in the inventory sheet. Contrary to these assurances, FFMS failed to honor its commitments and exhibited blatant negligence throughout the moving process. The scheduled pick-up date was October 11, 2024; however, FFMS did not arrive until October 12, 2024, with only two movers who were unprepared and claimed to be unaware of how to handle the safe or that a safe was even included in the move (one man spoke broken English, the other none). I had provided them instructions to contact me before moving the safe so I could demonstrate how to remove its door to make it lighter and safer to transport. They completely disregarded these instructions. Instead, without my permission or knowledge, the movers attempted to forcefully place the safe onto a small hand truck without using appropriate equipment such as straps or protective padding. Additionally, they failed to remove the safe's door as instructed. Hearing loud commotion from the rear of the property, I immediately ran to the back and witnessed the safe violently singing back and forth on the hand truck, resulting in severe scratches on all sides. The movers further aggravated the damage by recklessly turning the safe upside down, destroying its interior. Rather than addressing the damage, the movers dismissively instructed me to file a claim. I immediately documented the damages, taking photographs on site, and sent them to Mr. Horowitz via text message. I called FFMS office to only be told they will email me a claim form. It took months and countless phone calls to Mr. Horowitz and others. When I finally received the claim form I attached the following... 1. Photographs of the damages to the safe. 2. Text messages exchanged with Mr. Horowitz. 3. Receipt of purchase for the safe, evidencing its cost of $1,882 and proof of ownership. 4. Documentation from Gunsafes.com detailing the safe's specifications, value, and weight. 5. The bill of lading contract 6. Inventory confirmation showing the weight of the safe. 7. Proof of payment for all moving fees to FFMS. 8. A copy of the document that was given to me to sign prior to the movers leaving with my possessions. The moving man who was in charge (as the other spoke no English) deliberately failed to note the damage. We are still waiting for our truck to arrive with our items so I'm worried that giving this review now will cause an "unexpected delay" but if I don't warn everyone and anyone I can now, I'm going to go crazy! Do not use Finest Fellas Moving And Storage! When I contacted them by text with a couple generic questions Billy was so helpful and said all the right things. He even checked in a few days later to see if we had made a decision to go or not go with professional movers. When we did decide to call, Billy again said all the right things. He told us their move minimum was 2,000 pounds and that if we booked our move with them during that call he would give us 300lbs more for free. We jumped on that deal not knowing at that time what our actual move inventory would be as we hadn't started packing yet. We just gave him our best guess at that time. Well after we packed we called to give an updated inventory. Now that we had booked our move we could no longer deal with Billy for some reason so we were now talking to and dealing with a Vinessa. She tells us that the total would go up, we did figure it would, after the box count was given she told us our estimate and it was double what Billy had given us. She would not honor the 300lbs that we were told we would get for free and said at their computer generated quote of what they guess our box count would weigh it is $1.50 per pound. She told us they would weigh the truck before and after it was loaded with our items and the total due would just accordingly with the total weight at $1.50 pet pound. Our 300 free pounds went right out the window. We paid more for our deposit that day and were given a balance due based on the estimated weight. We confirmed with her that the total would go down if the weight was not as heavy as estimated. We knew we didn't have that heavy of a load. So fast forward to us waiting for our truck... we received our final move paperwork with the tuck before and after weights and as we suspected our weight was less than their computer generated estimate had, in dollars, it is $1,000.00 less! Well you guessed it, we are now being told by a new person, Kat in dispatch, that they do not adjust the total due down, only up if we end up weighing heavier than the quote. I have a signed bill of lading that says the amount due will adjust UP or DOWN depending on the final move weight! She would not connect me with Vinessa an in not so many words said I was screwed as they have our stuff. So I called back and Vinessa answered, so after telling her my issue, she confirmed that she told us the total due would adjust up or down after a final weight was taken but said there was nothing she could do, that she must have been wrong and that Kat was the dispatch manager and what she says goes! So not only did we not get our free 300lbs they are charging us $1,000.00 for weight we did not have! They will not give a number for anyone that maybe could help, they will not give my number to anyone that may be able to help, i have called and argued with Kat to no avail and emailed Billy and Steve who I believe is the owner as Vinessa will not give me his last name and have gotten no response from anyone! I almost forgot, I texted Billy also, he was so quick to answer texts before we booked and now does not respond! Do not use. They made the transition for my family incredibly difficult. They devastated my children and wife. They destroyed/smashed so many of our items. They ruined so much of my kids memorabilia and toys, every single mattress, every tv (looks like they took hammers to all of them, they wrote sharpie on all of our furniture, they delivered half of every bed frame, they smashed so many boxes. They destroyed thousands of dollars of our items. So many missing items. Only about 60% of our stuff was delivered. They devastated our family, they robbed us. As they we're a little over half way filling the truck, they called me and that they said they wouldn't start loading the truck until I sent them over double what they told me it'd cost. Again, the truck was over half full. When I said no and told them to take my property off the truck, they closed the truck and drove off. The day before the delivery date they called threatened to hold all of our items (including equipment and belongings of our 74 year old mother dealing with late stage 4 cancer) if I we didn't send a random person $1,000. They have since blocked me in attempts to rectify this. They refused to send me a claim form. They have blocked my number and social media accounts when I contact them. We were quoted $2,900 for a move, and their rep Billy promised we had until September 5th to cancel for a full refund. We trusted him, signed, and paid a $1,100 deposit. The second we canceled on the agreed date, everything changed. Suddenly, no "notes in the file," and their so-called 3-day cancellation policy magically appeared. From there, it was endless lies and excuses: "accountants are out," "only Jojo and Steve can process refunds," "it takes 15-21 days" (even though their own written policy says 5-7). Weeks later, no refund. Calls go unanswered, reps are rude or dismissive, and everyone points the finger at someone else. It's deliberate stalling to keep deposits they never earned. Update 2: They finally arrived over a month later, so we slept on a couch for weeks. It turns out that they ARE a broker and actually go through another moving company, who we also had to hound for any information at all. Almost all of our boxes were damaged, so a lot of our items (books, artwork, water pitchers, glasses) were damaged or broken. Our TV screen was smashed beyond repair because they didn't put it in a box like we were charged for. We've spoken to over 5 customer service agents as well as the initial contact with them (Josh Burns), and most, including Josh brushed us off and/or never called back. They all claimed that they reached out to dispatch to give us an update, and no one ever did. Our latest contact with someone was today, and they still don't have a clue where our stuff is. Movers are supposed to make your move easier and less stressful, that's the whole point. Hiring Finest Fellas made this one of the most stressful times in my life. I've made a fair amount of mistakes in my time, but this decision was one of the worst. Okay, let's start with the vast difference between customer service promises and lack of delivery of those promises. First: that we could bring liquids and food. Drivers said that they couldn't. It's okay if they can't, but it's the fact that we were told otherwise and weren't able to properly plan for that, that is the issue, so we had to throw out a ton of stuff. Second: that they will pack everything nice and tight so nothing gets damaged. They were just tossing things randomly in boxes, literally dropping plates into boxes. Hundreds of dollars of books just thrown all around my room. I would honestly be extremely surprised if most of my breakable items did not show up to the destination broken. We told them multiple times to be careful but we were ignored. Also, the morning of pickup. They told us in the morning that they'd be there at 11:30-12, but didn't get there until past 2pm. They told us on three different phone calls between 12 and 2 that they were only "10 minutes away". When we did our estimate and inventory, there was an amount of boxes that they recorded we'll need. They brought next to no boxes, and had to go to the uhaul "only 10 minutes away" for more, and were gone for over an hour. The carelessness with which our belongings that we spent thousands of dollars on and worked our asses off to afford was handled, was just astounding. The drivers were supposed to tell us later that day when they weighed the truck how much the official cost came to and send us a copy of the receipt. We're several days later and still haven't received anything. We called the driver multiple times and he brushed us off and never sent anything. We called customer service and they weren't able to give us any information either. On top of that, we asked the driver about how much the premium insurance would cost after we saw how horrifically they were handling our property, and he "couldn't" give us that information at that time and said he would have the insurance people call us. Days and multiple phone calls later and that still hasn't happened. On that previously mentioned phone call with customer service, we asked them about the insurance, and they told us that there was nothing they could do and that it was too late and that any damage to our stuff was now our fault, despite us telling them that their driver told us otherwise. That right there tells us that they know how horrible their Packers are and that they'd definitely owe us a ton of money if we got that better insurance. Bottom line, it would've made my and my fiance's life a thousand times less stressful if we just rented a uhaul and packed our stuff ourselves. I was told by the driver it would be up to two weeks before I received my shipment it was 27 days. I also was never advised I would have to pay the second installment when they picked up my shipment by cash postal money order Walmart money order they mention Zelle then said no to that then they settled on a wire transfer which I did take care of. However, when they delivered my goods finally after the 27 days I had to pay the remaining by the either of the postal money order or Walmart money order The driver and helper who delivered everything were very polite and efficient, and have no complaint with them however, the original crew supposedly packed the legs to my adjustable bed however, they were nowhere to be found when the shipment arrived here in Texas so now I have an adjustable base bed with no legs I was told by one of their employees I would have to file a claim and I knew that all along Yes I knew claims have to be filed for missing or damaged items, but I definitely didn't think that they would lose the legs off the bed that they are the ones that dismantled and prepared the bed for shipping. We're writing this review to voice our concerns and give a detailed overview of our incredibly negative experience with Finest Fellas / All Roads Express thus far in chronological order. Our initial contact with this company was through a phone conversation on April 11, 2025 with an employee, Josh (omitting last name), who positioned Finest Fellas as a company that offers a transparent, communicative experience, which Josh claimed other carriers lack. Demanding upfront payments, no direct control over trucks and "too good to be true" quotes are what he mentioned are signs of a fraudulent company. Yet, Josh misrepresented the company because we have unfortunately experienced all of this over the course of our contract with Finest Fellas. The customer service has been appalling to say the least -- severe lack of ownership from your employees, passing off responsibilities and "not my problem" attitudes. To start, we had our load picked up Tuesday May 21st by an unmarked Ryder rental truck and a crew who mentioned they contract with Finest Fellas. They had alluded that the load is weight based, which we knew would be part of the final cost. The initial $2,500 quote we received from Josh changed to $5,000 when we updated the itemized list. We would have cancelled the pickup, but their employee who goes by the name of "Yammie" (customer service) conveniently called after the cancellation window without giving us an option to receive a refund on the deposit. The final charge ballooned to $10,500 when the May 21 moving team weighed the truck bed. This was naturally a major shock to my wife and I. An experienced company should be able to accurately predict quotes, and Josh clearly used a sales tactic to secure our business and take advantage of us. From the initial pickup on the 21st, we were told by the contractor that the truck will be kept in a safe storage location for the next team to deliver to Chicago on Sunday or Monday (25th, 26th of May) something that WAS NOT initially discussed or shared by Finest Fellas. Since then we have heard nothing more from their team or any information about the move. Luckily, we have Apple Air Tags on several items of our load that shows the location of the warehouse in Norcross, GA. 4 hours in the opposite direction of Chicago, adding a much longer trip. When speaking with Finest Fellas about our concerns, they assured us that the load had been picked up that week (now 6/2 and that it would be delivered on Tuesday 6/3). We both took off work to ensure we were there to receive the movers. Fast forward to Friday 6/6, we get a call from a gentleman named Artem stating that he has our partial load. In disbelief, we asked why the load was split? He simply mentioned that he had no room on his trailer for all of our belongings. This was never communicated to my wife and I so we followed up with Finest Fellas immediately expressing our concern that they split our personal belongings. The customer service agent mentioned that 85% of the load was on that trailer. It was not. Maybe 20% came with the mover, and all of our boxes were crushed from being moved from the original truck bed, into a storage unit in Atlanta, and again onto a trailer crammed with other people's belongings. On top of this, Artem had hired a Craigslist helper to unload our belongings, who wasn't helpful at all. My wife and I helped move our items into our condo and I sprained my ankle. We circled back with Finest Fellas, again, who assured us the rest of our load was right behind Artem in a truck that will be delivered Sunday or Monday 6/8 or 6/9. A no named dispatched called us (754)707-1047 and told us that the truck that was supposed to pick up our load broke down and that a replacement truck was on the way to complete our move and that they should arrive, "Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday". At this point, we grew tired of the inconsistent communication; so I asked to speak with a manager. He responded to "talk with your customer service team". We spoke to someone at All Roads Express, who said her manager will be back in the office on 6/10 to promptly give me a call. 6/10 rolls by and no call from management. I spent a total of 2 hours waiting for someone to answer my call(s) not one person picked up until I called from a different number, to which then I was transferred to a customer service rep who then finally put me on with a supervisor. She had suggested that I write up an email so that I can accurately depict our scenario without having to explain myself time and time again. Our load finally arrives 6/16 and all the boxes, destroyed. Wine glasses broken, armchair with holes in it - rug missing and our expensive coffee table ruined. We have been playing phone tag with their GM for the last few days and no-one to return our call. Overall, this experience was horrendous. The cost to replace the items will be around $4,000. I would give them -10 stars if I could! I was promised by Chris that my stuff would literally follow me from Az to MN. I arrived in Minnesota on December 2nd and my belongings are still sitting in a warehouse in Nevada! It's pushing 2 weeks! They outsourced my move to a company called Posh. These guys quoted me $8,000 for my move which I thought was a great rate. When the movers showed up, they tried to charge me $22,000. I told them to take a hike. I'm trying to claw back my $2,800 deposit. Crazy thing was I got them from a Facebook ad, I figured they wouldn't try to rip me off 'cause I would flame their ad on Facebook. When I did post a negative comment on their ad, they we're able to just hide my negative comment. I booked with this company on December 24, 2025. I told the principal, Steve Horowitz, who I booked with that I am involved in a co-op sale and there was a chance this might not go through. He assured me I would get a full refund if the sale were to fall through. I have been trying to get my $500 deposit back for well over a month and there is always an excuse: accounting is out of the office, I need to leave an email (which was never responded to), call (no calls returned). I spoke to Steve recently and he assured me he would get back to me after speaking to Jo-Jo, one of the principals. I called again, was bounced around back and forth between sales and customer service. There always seems to be a problem with reaching anyone and getting my money back. I strongly advise against using this moving company. My experience was an utter disaster from start to finish. The final bill was a shocking 50% higher than the initial quote, and my belongings were held hostage until I paid the inflated price. Communication was nonexistent, and when my items finally arrived after a significant delay, many were damaged or missing. Despite a lengthy complaint and appeal process through a third party, we were only approved for a minimal refund, which we still haven't received half a year later, surprise. That shows a sign of a con game; you mean to tell me you don't know what you packed weight and items? I used this company over the summer. Owner told me they were NOT a broker...turns out they are just a moving company who hires subcontractors SAME THING!!! They showed up, loaded my stuff and told me the move would cost almost double my quoted amount. Finest Fellas toldl me there wer no extra charges and ALL was included for the flat amount they gave me. The subcontractor showed up at my house, smelling of Marijuana. I called Finest Fellas about the price and they were really no help. The guy that was in charge ended up negotiating with my mother and moved some extra things for a flat rate which was still about $2k more than the original quote. I asked "Abe" if he could take my printer and if i should pack it up and he said not to worry about it, that he had a box to put it in. When I opened the box, the printer was in pieces! I called "Abe" and he said not to submit an insurance claim, that he would personally take care of it but it would take a while. We spoke and texted for almost two months and then he ghosted me. I called "Finest Fellas" who told me I had to file an insurance claim. After spending about an hour downloading docs and filling out the claim. The insurance called to ask a couple questions and get it filed. I received an email two weeks later saying that Finest Fellas was no longer insured!!!!!!!!! Not only was my move horrific; broken promises around scheduling, negligence in the haul (driver went under a low train bridge shearing off the top of the truck and continued driving for 30 miles resulting in over $5,000 in damages and losses to my property) but after filing a claim, refused to talk with my about the settlement they agreed to pay (a pittance but I was done with them). Warning: Do Not Use Finest Fellas Moving -- A Traumatizing Experience This has been a nightmare. I am writing this with the hope of sparing other families from the pain and suffering we are currently experiencing due to Finest Fellas Moving & Storage. They were supposed to pick up our belongings on a confirmed date. They showed up two days late, without so much as a courtesy call. And when they finally arrived, they jacked up the price, knowing full well we were flying out of state the next day with two small children and had no choice but to comply. We were promised delivery within 3 days. That was a lie. We are now 7 days into our move, completely displaced, still living out of suitcases in hotel rooms, with no furniture, no kitchen items, no cribs, no clothes, and two babies to care for. Today, we were told our things haven't even been loaded onto a truck. That means they knowingly misled us--costing us money, time, and our emotional wellbeing. They continue to delay, deflect, and show zero accountability. I've begged for answers and to speak with someone other than "Kiera," who is cold, unhelpful, and completely indifferent to what they've put us through. She is the only person allowed to speak to us, and she offers no information beyond "we can't guarantee anything." I have experienced multiple panic attacks, and my family is under immense emotional and financial strain. This is not just bad service--it is blatant negligence and emotional abuse. This company is a scam! Chris gave me an initial estimate that was almost too good to be true. Made real nice and friendly, but never responded to me again. Well, it was too good to be true. The estimator called and the price instantly doubled. Of course this is as the move is getting really close, so options are less. Then the movers show up and the guy instantly says this is 3 times as large as they thought. My cost then went to over $17k from $6800. The problem is that I closed on the house in 2 days. My options were gone. The company didn't care one bit. The movers that came to my home on delivery were great. I used Finest Fellas on a whole house move from NJ to Florida in March 2025. Price was fair, they wrapped everything amazingly and loaded my large motorcycle and large heavy exercise equipment. They showed up Sunday morning and packed up the entire house and were gone by 430pm. I did the drive down in 2 days, had time to recover a little and they showed up Friday morning. Nothing lost, nothing broken. Furniture, couches, TVs, beds, desks, all wrapped really well. My experience with them was excellent. Moving is very stressful, and there are always hiccups. So it took them 2 days longer than it took me. But, I wasn't driving a fully loaded, very heavy 26' moving truck. Not a big deal, communication was very good. A+ read more
