    I recently hired American Van Lines for a cross-country move from Los Angeles to Chicago, and I'm disappointed by the services. I would NEVER recommend, not even to my enemies!!! Set-up was easy, the call was great, which led me to high expectations. However, once the pickup date arrived, things took a turn for the worse. Initially, the driver was pleasant, but the person helping him was someone he had never worked with. Only one person was scheduled for the move, which was insufficient as the driver was busy tagging & inventorying items. The helper asked for a soda, which I agreed to, but then proceeded to help himself to my fridge. He then began taking items from our second-floor apartment to the truck, all the while being clumsy and careless. I requested that he handle our items with care. No more than ten minutes later, I saw him drop our dresser, and his response was simply, "my bad," without even an apology. I informed the driver; he didn't address the issue as our items continued to be loaded carelessly. Upon delivery, which was a day late from what the driver had initially told us, they brought in another person whom the driver had never worked with before. This new person was better and genuinely helpful. He even apologized to me for the way my items were packed, stating that whoever handled it was terrible and indifferent. Many of my items arrived damaged or completely broken. Fragile items that were clearly labeled were placed under boxes marked "heavy." Boxes were crushed, furniture was scratched and chipped, and one floor-length mirror was utterly ruined with the frame broken on all four sides. One item arrived bent, and when I mentioned it to the driver, his excuse was, "Well, it's flimsy." REALLY!?! That is the response you choose to give to your customer? He also dropped a box labeled "FRAGILE/GLASSWARE". His remarked was, "You should have packed them better." I opened the box to show him that I had packed it properly, in a glassware box.

I went to my storage with my key, the guy saw me struggling on the camera and came with WD to spray the lock but I accidentally bent the key. He tried to say it was the wrong key and tried to get me to have them cut the lock and buy a new one. I went home got my second key an exact replica of the one he said was t their key and opened it no problem. I Wasn't happy with the attempt to rip me off but I let that go. Now after updating my credit card info last month they say I was no longer on auto pay and charged me a late fee this month saying I canceled autopay which I did not. Total lie. I'm leaving this month and saving money so thank you and your corporate greed as it has motivated me to move to a more convenient spot and save $. Yay! It will more than make up for the rip off of which they will not get a second chance. At least not from me. Best if luck to those of you considering this place or already in the hands of their greedy grip.

Bathrooms are always hygienically taken care of and never missing basic supplies We have been a tenant over here for a long while, even way before Storage Post and Extra Space, so we do need to express our most sincere appreciation for the terrific job that Donnell, and now Carol, are doing as Team! From time to time on our way in and or out, we have the pleasure meeting other tenants and when asking them about their experience here we only hear great compliments about the Team. On all of those many years under either Storage Post or now Extra Space we did not hear a single negative comment about it. Donnell and now Carol are doing a superb jot on behalf of the property, treating it like their own. This is a rewarding achievement to any Management company and or owner.     Hi, I recently inquired about rent prices and spoke with a…read moregirl at the desk who was extremely rude, unprofessional, and gave me false information about the pricing. Later, when I called customer service, I received the correct details and was able to sign in over the phone. Since I did not sign in with her directly, I feel she has been acting hostile toward me ever since. Every time I come to the unit, she tries to create problems. For example, yesterday after work I stopped by to pick up some clothes. My T-shirt was dirty, so I quickly changed inside the unit, not realizing that this was not allowed. Instead of addressing me directly and professionally, she started screaming loudly across the floor, saying "No, no, you can't change here!" while I was on the phone. She then pointed at me and said, "You, you, you--I will terminate your contract!" This was unnecessary and very disrespectful. I want to make it clear that I have no issue following the rules. If she had spoken to me politely, I would have respected and complied immediately. However, the way she shouted and attempted to embarrass me in public was unacceptable. From the first day, her behavior has been unprofessional--she lied about prices, constantly talks on her phone with AirPods in, and looks at me in a hostile way. I do not know why she has a personal issue with me, as I have always remained calm and respectful, but her conduct makes me uncomfortable to even come to the unit. I kindly ask that this matter be addressed. Staff members should treat clients with professionalism and respect, not hostility. Please speak with her or take appropriate action, because the way she has behaved is not acceptable for a place of business.
