Torso with a shark tattooed on rib cage
Emily S.

The quality of the work was fantastic, Zezi is incredibly easy to work with, and the studio was incredibly clean. Best tattoo experience I've ever had.

Jenna H.

Absolutely loved working with Zezi on this little wildflower piece! She was so accommodating in my desired placement for this delicate work. Zezi's technique really made the entire process (almost) entirely painless! 10/10 will request to work with her again.

Tattoo of arrows and geometric shapes

Zezi gave me an absolutely stunning tattoo. I'm still amazed at the way she was able to achieve such straight lines and smooth gradients. Her shop is also in a great spot on the water with lots of natural light, and it's very clean. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Upper arm custom design

Had a great experience with an upper arm botanical. I wanted a peony and a dragonfly and left it to Zezi for design, which she wrapped up in consultation with me while I was there. Process was great, the art and detailing are fabulous! Environment was clean and welcoming, and the day was beautiful so I was able to lounge like a lizard in the sun for the 3ish hours it took. I recommend. Tip- Only trick was parking. Park in the all day spots, further south in the same lot. Not the two hour spots.

Compass tattoo

I worked with Zezi for my first tattoo and had an amazing experience. She was responsive, professional and had incredibly positive energy. Her design was elegant and her needlework efficient. Would highly recommend her for anyone looking to get a fine-line tattoo.

So happy with my fabulous birthflower piece. Just what I was hoping for, wonderfully clean and professional space and amazing talent. Great location. It's clear Zezi is big on the artist part of things and is so talented. Drinks and snacks available. Priced fairly. I'll be back for my mountain tatt or another on my bucket list! Thank you!

I "found" @zizitattoo on Instagram when looking for a fine line tattoo artist in Seattle months ago. I've been following her work and decided to schedule my tattoo with Zizi (owner of Finer Things Tattoo) to commemorate a camping and hiking trip to Alaska. The booking process easy, and straightforward. The consultation at the beginning of the appointment was great - she has the design ready for me to see and open to edits - I didn't make any, love the design as created. The consultation also included placement and things to think about on the placement. The studio is very clean, minimalist aesthetic. And, unlike my first tattoo in Texas she showed me the needles in closed, sanitary packaging - along with the expiration date on each. Zizi is very professional and I am so happy she took on my design. Michelle from San Antonio TX!

Zezi designed a stunning fine line piece for me based on the three key elements I wanted in the design. The shop is clean and peaceful which made the experience a calm and pleasant one. I will be back for a second piece to compliment my first. If you are looking for fine line work, she is the best!

During that time I've never actually written a review before, but my recent sessions with Tim Bradley (aka Mean Ole Tim) at the Wallingford location deserve one. Tim has been an absolute standout. He's not just a skilled tattooer -- he's an artist and professional in the truest sense. His ability to translate an idea into something that feels both deeply personal and beautifully cohesive is unreal. He recently completed a full torso panel of my German shepherd, Stryder, in an Irezumi-inspired style, as well as two custom hand pieces -- and every step of the process was collaborative, thoughtful, and executed with precision. What I appreciate most is Tim's mix of humility, humor, and quiet confidence. He listens, gives honest feedback, and works with a level of care that shows in every line and aspect of the piece. The end result isn't just cool ink -- it's art that carries weight, intention, and soul. After nearly a decade with STTN, I can say this has been one of my best experiences yet. If you're looking for someone who genuinely gives a damn about both the craft and the client, Tim's your guy.

You have to check in to your appointment through a QR code on the front door before they let you in to browse the jewelry selection (don't look like a dummy like me in trying to pull the doors before seeing the code). Someone will let you in and explain the jewelry selection that they have. From what I know, the prices for titanium ear piercings (I chose this) were fairly standard compared to other places. Once I chose my jewelry, I filled out an online form and waited for my piercer. Once Colin took me back to the piercing room (very clean room), he walked me through the process and explained in depth what to do and not do with a new piercing. I was able to ask him some questions about my existing cartilage piercing and I'm so grateful that I got some advice on it! My piercing process was quick and painless and I highly recommend Colin for any piercings.

It was so amazing and I was so impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a very nice way, my needs were heard and respected, and, oh my, what a selection of different jewelry they have to pick from, very impressive! Adam did my ear piercing and listened to where I wanted the new piercing and Adam double checked before we proceeded with the piercing. But what most impressed me was how he prioritized Sanitation. I think he must have changed his gloves four times after he touched every item needed for the process. He explained aftercare very well. Checkout was wonderful too, they made sure that I knew how to contact them at any time if I had any other questions or concerns after the fact. Oh, and they made sure I knew what the end cost would be even before the actual piercing so there are no surprises at checkout.

I am beyond furious with the way Pierced Hearts handled my sister's navel piercing. From the start,…read morethis experience has been a disaster due to sheer negligence and a complete lack of accountability. My sister clearly explained to the piercer, Jaime, that she has a very flat belly button and specifically asked if the standard navel jewelry would be appropriate. He confidently said yes -- and we trusted his professional judgment. That trust was completely misplaced. As time passed, the jewelry began to embed itself into her skin, which should never have happened with the right jewelry in the first place. We returned to the shop, and Adam helped change it to a floating navel piercing -- the type she should have received from day one. He apologized and even took a photo of the damage because it was obvious something had gone terribly wrong. But the damage had already been done. Within a week, she developed a severe infection -- one that urgent care later confirmed was likely due to the original jewelry creating a gaping wound that never healed properly. Despite following aftercare instructions to the letter, she ended up on two antibiotics and hydrocodone just to manage the pain. Yet when we returned to the shop a third time to request a refund and share what she was going through, the staff were incredibly dismissive and refused to take any responsibility. They immediately shifted blame, accusing her of neglecting aftercare, even though we were meticulous. No effort was made to offer a solution, express genuine concern, or show even the slightest empathy. Just said "well, do you want to get it pierced again?!" ... no! Her belly button area now is completely bruised and mangled because of this place. We will never be coming back here again. To make matters worse, the owner was outright disrespectful and condescending over the phone. When we told him that medical professionals advised removing the piercing and draining the infection, her arrogant response was, "Why would they do that?!" as if she knew better than actual doctors. That tone alone spoke volumes about how little they care once they have your money. We asked for a refund because of all the trouble we've been through after the negligence of the first piercer, now having to pay for urgent care visits and medication. I chose this shop based on their glowing reviews, but let me be clear: if you're considering any body piercing here, don't. They might be decent with ear piercings or tattoos -- but when it comes to body piercings, especially anything more complex, they are careless, unprofessional, and utterly unwilling to take accountability when something goes wrong. My sister went in for a simple piercing and walked away in physical pain and emotional distress, and not once did they offer real help, only excuses. This shop failed her. Completely.

I appreciate the timely response and abilities to take walk in! I got a response from Ingrid literally a few minutes after sending an inquiry on their site at 1 AM ( not drunk, just a night owl ). So happy that Ingrid was able to book my brother and I in on a Saturday slot. I gave her an inspo pic which my brother and I wanted to match for Spongebob & Patrick and she did so much better than I could have imagined! She had such a cute and colorful style. As a first time tattoo, Ingrid was calm, walked me through the process and checked on me just enough during the inking. She also posts the aftercare on her insta which is great for one to look back on. I highly recommend her designs I love our tattoos and the healing process has been so seamless. Great color choice by Ingrid and a wonderful experience for my first tattoo!!!

Next week, she told me this one hour long tattoo session will cost me $500, cuz she charged by pieces. *** Unless her hourly rate is $500/hr, I don't see how it is possible for such small piece of tattoo will cost $500 before tip. Especially my design doesn't even require any of her drawing and creativity. Same date , I told her I am no longer pursuing a tattoo appt with her and I would like to cancel the appt for 9/8/2022 (the appt was cancelled 2 weeks prior to the actual date), then she refused to refund my deposit. Your website says 48 hours prior to appt notice for rescheduling/ cancellation or deposit is subject to be forfeited. I cancelled my appt more than 2 week, which was because Bunky Oyster was trying to up charge me by 4 times of the market price, and she refused to refund my deposit. Today I completed the exact same design for $180 w tips, and the session was completed within an hour. Bunky oyster is no artist, she is a scammer, shame on you for hiring such employee with low work ethic and so much greed. Please be careful, don't make the mistake I made with her

I ended up paying over $700 total between a deposit, a card charge, and cash for three small finger tattoos. It was not clearly explained beforehand that the pricing was per tattoo rather than an overall estimate, which was confusing given the size and placement (these were finger tattoos, not a hand piece or larger work). The tattoos themselves are fine, but the process felt very confusing. There was also a misunderstanding regarding a cash payment that was initially assumed to be a tip, which added to the confusion. This was eventually corrected and refunded after I followed up, and I did receive receipts. Everything was ultimately resolved, but clearer communication around pricing and payment would have made this a much better experience. I recommend confirming total cost, per-tattoo pricing, and payment handling in writing before starting.
