NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL !!! I had the worst experience working with FINE WINDOWS AND DOORS The project of replacing my windows in my condominium and absolutely was huge mistake. The windows are high quality windows however the installation NOT done efficiently since installers were not knowledgeable. Extremely disappointed with outcome (please see photo attached) when it rains all water comes in.

Window

Had a custom 6'X4' window ordered and professional installed by Fine Windows and Doors and couldn't be more thrilled with it! Great service plus quality work. Would highly recommend.

new door and windows. left with gaps under window. they increased trim and frame and inserting smaller windows and door

FUTURE CUSTOMERS BEWARE! This has probably been the BIGGEST waste of money I've ever experienced. The people at this company are incompetent and lazy. I came to them for the renovations of my home and every single job I've assigned to them has been done incorrectly, poorly, and has left me looking for other contractors for the repairs. One of the more egregious offenses has been the recent installation of brand new windows. One of the windows was installed incorrectly and fogs up every morning. Some windows are visibly not level and not flush. Most window trims were either unnecessarily removed or completely left unfinished. The gaps are so great, one can fit their hand between the bottom of the window and the wall of the house. I had to hire an additional contractor to fix the mistakes on the trims. Lastly, they look like windows inside of windows. The trim is at least 2 inches bigger than necessary and as a result they robbed us of usable window space. The door has even more complications. During the consultation, I told them I simply wanted a newer door and to not change the dimensions of the door at all. When it was finally installed, the trim was once again way too thick and I lost almost 4 inches off the door. The door was initially 32" wide and now it's 27" wide. I have a family member who is wheelchair bound and as a result they are unable to enter the door. Their wheelchair does not fit and that specific door was the only accessible entrance to the house. The thought of them not being able to see my home is truly devastating and knowing I have to spend more money to welcome them into my home is ridiculous. When contacted, the company only offers solutions at my expense. They say they can send an installer to fix the window but it will cost me. I've been asking repeatedly for a supervisor to come on site to see the problems and remedy the issue; however it's an endless game of telephone costing me my time and my money. Even my contractor has asked to have someone come out and he continues to be dismissed. This is my first home I have ever renovated and they took advantage of my naivety. They never once advised me on what was "best" or what would be the most aesthetically pleasing. Instead, they just did what they wanted t in order for me to call them back to repair it. I feel deceived and exhausted. The craftsmanship is unappealing, unprofessional, and down right inexcusable. I should be celebrating this milestone in my life instead it has been exhausting and nightmarish at best.

PERFECT and GORGEOUS three (3) door system We decided to replace the last set of doors in the house after having Milgard put in the rest of the house 8 years ago. Don't know why we didn't do it sooner, nevertheless, quotes were perfect and fast, ordering during CoViD I expected to be months, but it was just weeks and the installers I thought would be here all day, knocked it out in a couple hours and everything is PERFECT! I know it takes an army to get things done, but they all worked together like clockwork. YEEHAA! Thanks for an awesome experience from start to finish, would certainly do it again!

We renovated a home 3 years ago. Installed 3 sets of black accordion doors. Recently, one set was quite "tight" to open and close. Zvika sent 2 guys to adjust the doors and they now work fine. Great response, great service, great product.

Our bay windows were very old and dated. We discovered a section that was decaying and growing mold near our new hardwood floor. It was disturbing and we need a new set before the rainy weather. We contacted Assaf at Fine Windows and had him come by to give us an estimate. The price was fair and so we had him order replacements. The service from everyone was outstanding and the end product is exactly what I wanted. I'm thrilled.

I couldn't be happier with our decision to choose Milagard Tuscany and Fine Windows and Doors for our window project. We replaced 12 windows and a 12 foot sliding door. We worked with Assaf who was very patient and not pushy at all. He put in the extra effort to come up with creative ways to make sure he was true to our vision. The windows were ready when promised. The removal, replacement, interior detailing, exterior wrapping and detailing was all done in two days and came out beautifully. The entire process was actually very enjoyable and my house is transformed. The world looks so much better through my new windows - thank you!

Amazing work. Yigal the lead was very helpful throughout the quoting process. They were true to their word. They said windows would be in before the end of March and the were installed March 20th even with the whole coronavirus craziness going on. The installation crew came in and did an excellent job in a matter of hours. I have 0 complaints. Would highly recommend for retrofit windows.

Patio doors with screens

Fine Windows replaced all the windows of our house last February and we are extremely happy with the quality, look and functionality of our windows and patio doors. The installation was done in a very effective manner, within schedule, and the employees were very nice and polite. 10 Months later, we had a problem with one screen door. Vic very graciously (screens are not covered by the warranty) sent a worker who took his time to check and adjust all doors. So we are happy to recommend this company that offers good quality and great service.

Cory led the installation and did an amazing job including rebuilding a bay window structure in the kitchen where the old wooden windows and wood framing had years of water damage that needed to be removed and rebuilt. Other companies that bid on this job did not seem concerned about the water damage in the bay window structure and wouldn't commit to exactly how far they could go to restore the integrity of this structure. Armond, came to meet with me and help me choose the right windows (from Milgard). He listened to my concerns about the kitchen window structured and assured me that Cory had the experience and skills needed to do the job right. Katie and Rio in the office were a pleasure to work with as well and answered all questions promptly with regard to order status, logistics, and billing, and the overall experience was beyond my expectations. Our neighbors on the next street were impressed with the job and hired Mighty Builders to replace their windows as well. I highly recommend Mighty Builders to anyone looking to replace windows at a fair price.

We had tons of questions and decisions about what best matched the original look of the windows from our 1939 house. We finally decided on what windows we wanted replaced and put down a deposit. A second team member came out weeks later to confirm the measurements. And some weeks after that, the installation team of Juan and Erik came out to do the install. (They even started by doing the measurements a third time to make sure everything was correct! And it was.) They had told us that the job might take the whole day, but they carefully removed the old ones, installed the new ones and cleaned up afterward in only about six hours. It was a flawless experience. Everyone we dealt with was extremely kind, warm and knowledgable. And the new windows look stunning - while still matching the look of the almost 90-year old home. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

When I went in to order my door, the salesperson was asking me which way the door should swing and which side the glass insert should be on. I expected a door company to help guide me through those decisions, but instead I felt like I was expected to know everything myself. After placing the order, I realized the glass insert was going to be on the wrong side. I immediately called, and I was told it had been corrected. Unfortunately, when the door arrived, it was completely wrong. Not only was the glass insert still on the wrong side, but it was the wrong style of window altogether. My contractor picked up the door and removed my old door before I had a chance to inspect the new one, so by the time I saw the mistake, it had already been installed. When I contacted Urban Doors, they simply told me I was out of luck because it had been installed. Even after going through the warranty process, they continued to blame me for not checking it first. What I don't understand is how a company can take an order, make multiple mistakes, and have no quality control to catch them before delivery. Why wasn't I sent a proof or even a photo of the completed door before it left the shop? A simple verification could have prevented this entire situation. The lack of customer service was the most disappointing part. There was no ownership of the mistakes, no effort to find a solution, and no empathy. My mom helped me pay for this door, and I simply don't have the money to replace it. Every day I use my front door, I'm reminded that it's wrong. Because the glass insert is on the wrong side, I have to awkwardly squeeze through the opening, and it honestly makes me feel upset every time I come home. Mistakes happen, but how a company responds says everything. Unfortunately, Urban Doors was uncaring, unhelpful, and unwilling to stand behind their work. I cannot recommend them.

I called SCV Glassworks and first spoke to Eric and then to Andrew. The first response from Andrew was that they would replace the windows only if we purchased them "within the last year or so." I reminded him of the "Lifetime Warranty," and then Andrew said we had to file our request with Milgard. I pointed out that we purchased the windows from SCV Glassworks, and they hold themselves out as a "Milgard Certified Dealer." Andrew then changed his story and said he'd file a warranty request to Milgard to have the windows replaced. Andrew requested that I photograph the window frame and send it to him since it contained all the warranty information he needed. I forwarded the photographic information, and he confirmed receiving all the information he needed. He said he would put in a warranty request for me. After three weeks, I heard nothing, so I sent a text to Andrew asking for an update on my warranty request. He responded that he'll check with the manufacturer, Milgard, to determine the status of my warranty repair. He'd let me know as soon as he hears from Milgard. Two weeks went by, and not a word from SCV Glassworks, so today I decided to call Milgard myself. I reached Milgard's warranty department, and they advised that they had no warranty request from SCV Glassworks. Alexander, in Milgard's Customer Service Department, advised that it was best for me to just file my own warrant request through his department. Alexander asked that I forward the photographic information of the two windows to be replaced. I sent the information to Alexander, and in less than an hour, he confirmed receipt of my information, confirmed the warranty, and scheduled the window replacement. The Bottom Line: Milgard windows are great, and their service department is the best I've ever experienced. Kudos to Andrew in Milgard's Customer Service Department in Simi Valley. SCV Glassworks: First, a denial of a warranty, then a claim that they filed a warranty request when they had not, and no follow-up whatsoever. Their "service" was the worst.

There are LOTS of doors on display so Enrique Marquez, sales rep, explained the various options and details to us. After that he let us wander around and peruse on our own, no pressure, just let us know where he would be when we needed him. Once we narrowed our choices down he walked us through the inventory and the available options and timelines for in stock and custom orders. Enrique told us how to measure our doorways, so we did that when we got home and emailed him the info. He had CAD drawings prepared from the info and sent them to us for approval. The invoices and payments were also handled online. Enrique walked us through the entire process. Anytime I had a question or issue he was right there to help out. Even during installation. We ended up ordering an in stock and custom door (due to odd size). For the in stock door, I received a call to schedule installation immediately! The lady that called said she likes to schedule them as soon as she receives the order and she wasn't lying. We scheduled installation for 5 weeks out, which is reasonable. Then 1 week later, on a Friday, she called back and asked if they could install on Monday. I said Yes! The installation team, Vahe and Ahot, showed up on Monday as scheduled and did an absolutely FANTASTIC job!! The door looks soooooo good!! They communicated well, also noticed that the lock was missing on the order and helped me get that corrected with Enrique. They were very respectful of keeping the area clean, making sure everything was clean and all trash/debris removed when they left. Everyone at Universal Iron Doors has been awesome to work with and I look forward to receiving my custom door.
