Most nail techs are very disgruntled to customers and nails either pops off or lifts within a week from my experience (with no strenuous work with hands). Pedicures are hit or miss depending on who you get (No Ann!). The Aesthetician/Cosmetic side does an amazing job! Technician went to manager when I asked her why she was charging me for services I did NOT request or receive. Manager then accused me of being refused services in the past according to the technician which was false. Tech threatened to cut my nails off because I sought to dispute a charge. Tech then refused to service me and the manager aggressively told me to leave or else she was going to call the police. As I was in the process of leaving, the manager sarcastically stated "You're going to get free nails... ". I was told to leave or be arrested so therefore I exited the shop. The manager made additional threats regarding the police so I waited outdoors for police to arrive. I called police as well to express what transpired and that I was waiting on them to arrive. Manager filed a false report stating that I received full services and left without paying. I was threatened with jail if I did not pay whatever the manager stated to the police which was different from the service I requested and received. This may be minor to some but it isn't to me. The manager was extremely aggressive, rude and most unprofessional to say the least. She did not hesitate to make a false impression and statement to local law enforcement in her continued effort to harass me which ultimately caused me injury and harm.I was FORCED to pay for services I did not request nor rendered or be taken to jail. The negative experience is a testament of just how invaluable I was deemed as a customer to begin with. This is an honest review and not written based on emotions, just facts. I am a black woman who went to patronize this business when the staff couldn't care less about anything other than the dollar bill. A different supervising police officer kindly expressed to me that there have been several similar experiences by other customers regarding this same business location. I have been to many nail shops but this one is the pits and it starts with the employees. I don't know what it is but if you don't like dealing with people especially the people that live in the neighborhood of your business then maybe you should think about some things. I walked in the door. I was impressed with the size of this place. It is huge and expansive. Usually nail shops are tight and small. However that's where my good thoughts end. There was a man at the desk with another customer so since she was taking so long I sat down in one of the chairs at the door. After he was finished he never looked my way but I know he knew I was there. I sat there for the longest and finally I got up and told him I was waiting for a friend. He took my name and I sat back down. My friend finally arrived and he immediately sat us in two pedi chairs side by side. I put my feet in the bowl and sat down. The nail tech came up to the bowl and motioned for me to take my feet out in a not so nice way while she was talking to her co-worker gesturing towards me. That ticked me off but I kept it cute. She put the liner in a bowl and started the water. My feet were in plain water. I have never EVER had a pedicure where they don't put anything in the water to soak your feet. NEVER!!! She then proceeded to give me a pedicure. She automatically told me it would be $2 to remove Gel Nail polish off my toes. Huh? You guys don't soak it off you just use an electric sander for two seconds to get it off. Anyway her demeanor was horrible. She then half assed scrub and scraped my feet and quite frankly I was over it. Not a good experience at all and within a week all of my toes had either chipped polish or polish gone off the entire toe. Never had that happen before. I have seen this nail salon go from super busy to hardly no customers. I understand why. I have come to Fine Nails multiple times through the last 3-5 years. Each year, it gets worse. My first bad experience was with the short guy who ran the store front. He was super rude. I said I wouldn't go back. But. With Jenny and Lucky on lashes and brows I would support them. I recently went back to see John. Who would normally do my nails. However. On 9/25/22 @ 11:10a, John had not arrived yet. I just wanted a fill in. Simple. You would think. However. The guy at #5, started off nice but he was not filling in correctly, leaving an unleveled look to where my tips look then. I told him he's not doing it right can he level it out more. Giirrllllll. He got so irate with me and he began to yell at me. He was looking away, stopping, watching other interactions. Then. Ok. He ignores me. Ok. There is literally no other techs yet cus they just opened. Ok. So he goes to shaping my nails. I'm like this is not coffin. He starts look I do for u John did this. I'm like no. Your filling it in. This is not coffin shaped. He threw down the filer and walked away talking shit in his language. I'm like. I'm the customer you're not even trying to appease me. I'm the one spending money. He got attitude. Then here come John. Looking at my nails. When he didn't step in. I knew I wouldn't return here. So. I went back to let them know my nail cracked cus of the terrible fill in that was done by dude at #5; it was cool. They were gonna repair it for free. Cool. But the lady had an attitude from the jump, grabbing my hand. When she ask what color I said dreaming nude. She I don't have dat color. I'm like. I just got my nails done.You have it. It's dreaming nude powder. She argued back and forth that they didn't have it. I said it's a powder. She said well. I don't know. I need a number. But I do as close as color. Im like no. I get up. Don't be fooled by the location! I came here at the last minute for a brow wax. This place is pretty huge. Quick & super affordable. My brow wax was only$7 & she did a pretty good job. This is without a doubt the WORST nail salon experience I have EVER had in my life. It came pretty highly recommended, so I was shocked at what I saw and experienced. I don't have super-high standards...just that I get what I pay for. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Sure, they were busy, but that doesn't excuse the following: -A woman next to me had to leave and get food because her wait was so long. -An elderly woman in the pedi chair next to me was sitting there for 20+ minutes with no water running, yelling that she also needed some water to drink, and everyone was ignoring her. -My manicurist was removing my gel manicure like she was trying to saw through a log - she SERIOUSLY damaged my nails with a rough file! (See photos.) Despite hacking into my nail in some places, she totally failed to remove the gel manicure in others. -After damaging my nails, she didn't even bother to clean them thoroughly, or file them to a uniform shape, or remove all dry cuticle skin. -I asked for a buffed finish, and she didn't buff off all of the remaining old gel manicure; she also didn't buff out the DEEP scratches she left in my nails. -My pedicure looks awful (see photos). There's polish on my skin, but she didn't bother to paint the entire surface of my nail. But that's not the worst of it. When I tried to explain to her that I was unhappy, she couldn't understand what I want saying, and just kept telling me that my nails would be better in a month. I get gel polish applied and removed regularly, and I'm not stupid - lady, we BOTH know you rushed through and botched this job. The worst part: when I tried to talk to the guy at the front desk, he first lied to me and told me he had no authority to issue a refund. Then he told me that they were very busy, and that's why this had happened. Then, when I pressed him and told him VERY POLITELY that we had two options - 1) for him to issue a refund for ruining my nails and giving a shoddy pedi OR 2) I could protest the charge with my bank and write a bad review - he was very insulting to me, called me a bully, and told me to "stop trying to scare him". Sooo...insisting that I get at least DECENT service makes me a bully? I explained - again, very politely - that I wasn't trying to scare him, merely telling him the facts of what had happened, and that I wasn't happy with the service. He and my manicurist glared at me while speaking back and forth; I could not understand what they were saying. After glaring at me for another minute, he then issued my refund - which he magically suddenly had authority to do! - and told me to never come back. Dude...do you think I'm ever going to even THINK about coming back here? Don't flatter yourself. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Go somewhere else. Came in originally for solar nails fill in. Was told that the nails would have to come off completely and start over with new set. As you can see from the length of my natural nail this is not true. This process requires another layer of color acrylic to fill the new growth. Opted for gel polish since they would not do a fill in. Kept trying to cut my nails without my permission. Wanted to charge me for a full set instead of the fill in that I originally requested. Caked on the gel polish and this is how they looked the very next day. Came back the next day and the tech was off. Here I am for the third day in a row and the lady is acting like she doesn't know who the hell I am. Told me she doesn't fix other people's work as if she is talking in third party since I sat in her chair only TWO DAYS AGO. Trying to charge me $40 to fix them. Oh and "$5 extra for broke nail" Manager says that next time I should just go to someone else since I don't like my nails. Also says "the policy" doesn't guarantee service after you walk out of the door because he doesn't know "what I did to them." They were so thick they started to peel off easily. I decided to give them another chance since it's my old hood and that was the biggest mistake. This lady spent 2 hours on my nails because she messed up several times on my SNS set. She didn't know what she was doing. My nails came off in less than a week. I told her I didn't like them and still had to pay. There was nail polish all over my cuticles and it was a messy job. My polish looked bumpy and not smooth.
