A complete disappointment with this vendor. My wife and I had been planning our wedding for a year, and the one vendor I wasn't worried about completely messed up. On the delivery day, they failed to bring everything they were supposed to. After what felt like over 30 calls, we finally reached them, and they delivered the remaining items late in the evening. Fortunately, this was the day before the wedding. When we spoke to the vendor days later to understand the disconnect and the unnecessary stress they caused, we provided feedback about the pickup day when their driver threatened to charge us because the tablecloths weren't ready. The venue intervened to avoid additional fees. Seriously? We tried to understand why the vendor would treat a customer this way. When we finally got on a call, instead of being sympathetic, they simply said, "That's not what the driver said, that's incorrect." Essentially, they called us and the venue liars. We didn't want to argue after just wrapping up our special day. I hoped the vendor would offer some sort of reimbursement, but we got nothing. All they offered was a discount for next time. Next time? Why would we ever book again after being accused of lying and enduring such stress? I would never recommend this place. They are absolutely unprofessional and need serious customer service training. I hope the owner sees this and has the compassion to do something about it. read more

During my initial meeting with Terry (owner of FLC), she really listened to my vision and was very honest as to what works for my Asian banquet venue. She showed me pictures of her past work and I ended up copying several designs from her. Terry was also very easygoing and anything I asked, she said yes. I have to say in the beginning I was somewhat concerned because when I first made an appointment with Terry, she was late to our appointment. Terry was a breath of fresh air. I'm currently working with her on the decorations for my wedding and she has been nothing but sweet, patient, and helpful. She loves what she does and really gets invested in helping you design the best wedding ambience for your budget. She backs her recommendations and opinions with conviction--but she's not pushy. She'll walk through your wedding venue, with you, to get a better perspective of what she's working with--and she does it with a genuine smile. And she's very detail-oriented and thorough on her meeting notes. She doesn't miss a thing. As a project manager, I appreciated it. We booked our wedding at Hayes Mansion and Fine Linen Creations was one of the preferred vendors that decorates at that venue for a lot of their weddings. Since everything related to weddings is so expensive, we were actually surprised that with all the things we rented, the costs was very reasonable. Our wedding had approximately 200 guests, so we rented: * 200x chair covers with two different bow colors * ~35x uplights in two different colors (the grand ballroom at Hayes Mansion is pretty big) * 2x 8-feet tall manzanita trees * 2x white pedestals for the ceremony The total cost was only around $1,400, which I wasn't expecting it to be that low. And since they are a preferred vendor for Hayes Mansion, once we put a deposit and told them exactly what decorations we wanted to rent, that was basically it. They coordinated with the venue as far as when is the best time to come set up, which was one less vendor we needed to worry about. I highly recommend this vendor as the quality service was great and the price was very inexpensive. read more

Working with Terry was awesome. We found Fine Linen Creations on Yelp and met with her for the first time about a year before our wedding. We gave her an idea of how we wanted our wedding to look and she drew up different ways we could work with the layout of our venue. She was very detailed on everything we wanted and printed pictures on everything we liked to use as reference. Two weeks before the wedding we met again to change the color scheme as we felt that it would be too dark. She helped us redesign a lot of the color scheme and added a lot of new items to make sure that the room would look amazing and grand. As we had an Vietnamese wedding, a lot of people called last second to let us know they were coming. We originally had 32-33 tables which ballooned to 41 tables by the Friday before the wedding. I called Terry frantically asking is she could help get more tables and chairs to venue. She said "sure. dont worry i'll take care of everything." It was so reassuring to know that she was there to support us and was unphased by the change. The hall looked amazing and everyone complimented us for the draping and backdrop. From the beginning to end, Terry was a godsend with her professionalism, her quickness in responding to emails and phone calls, and her sheer love and enthusiasm for helping us plan for Mom's 70th birthday party. It was so nice to have someone who was just as excited about our party as we were! We did a purple party bash for Mom's birthday. Terry ended up orchestrating the decor both inside and outside the house. She helped with the purple swags and the rest of the decor inside the house, which all turned out beautifully. For the outside, Terry provided such a beautifully array of linens in variations of the color purple, and she arranged the sit down dinner (with silver chiavari chair seating and silver chargers) for 45 people on our small patio and managed to fit them all in! She got us a great deal on a tent with fantastic festive lighting and festooned with lovely draping fabrics and purple up lights. And to top it all off, because of the great vision she had for our party, she suggested doing 2 chandeliers - which we are SO glad she did! It added so wonderfully to the ambience of the party. I cannot tell you how many times the guests oohed and awed at the decor! Mom was so happy! The great thing about Terry and her business is that her rentals are very competitive in pricing with other party rental businesses. Her rentals were cheaper than William's Party Rentals when I'd shopped around. Plus you get Terry's most wonderful event planning expertise and her great attention to detail and her fantastic vision for your party! With other party rental businesses, you are left hanging. Terry found us great deals through her vendor contacts and found ways to save us money further. For example, she managed to get us the most exquisite flowers at a 1/3 the price because she had her staff arrange the flowers for us (and done MOST BEAUTIFULLY!) - otherwise we'd be paying more to the regular flower vendor for the full arrangements. One of our party guests knows flowers inside out and has the most exquisite flower garden at his house - even he was impressed with the choice of flowers and their arrangements! Jaime, the man who works with Terry to help with delivery and setup, was also a delight. Setup went smoothly. Terry and Jaime are a great team and you can tell they work well together. It is important to find an event planner who loves people, who loves what they do, who has the resources at his/her disposal to make unforeseen last minute changes, and who can work with your budget to find creative ways to still make your party look entirely fantastic. We used Fine Linen Creation last year for our wedding. Terry, the owner, was recommended to us by a close family friend whom used to work in the industry. Terry was wonderful and set up our tables and chairs beautifully. She also rented the linens at a reasonable price. My husband and I were so pleased. We were in a bind because our original venue closed and could not honor our contract.
