Ok Where do I start?! Just book your special event whatever it is with Something special! They picked the perfect name because that's exactly what they bring something special! I booked the twins for my proposal and they went above and beyond to make sure they set up the perfect hallmark movie esque backdrop setting for a proposal. They really made it seem like it was out a fairly tale movie. The communication throughout the whole process was excellent. They had so much flexibility with all the location changes due to weather and sent so many recommendations. They made such an overwhelming and stressful planning time feel so easy. They stood out in the rain to play the song we requested and even took some photos for me with our phone. We had a photographer but the fact they offered to take pictures was so nice. They even went above and above and gave my now fiancée a huge bundle of roses that was so nice and sweet of them! I'll definitely recommend them to any one celebrating anything for picnics, proposals, or just surprises. I'm so happy I went with them to share this special moment. I'm still in awe and on cloud 9 of the setup and the friendliness. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! read more

Kimberly and Tiffany put together a wonderful proposal setup, from the marry me sign to the flowers and every detail in between. They were incredibly prompt with their responses throughout the planning process and accommodated every request I threw their way. The final setup looked even better than I had envisioned. These ladies are amazing! Definitely hire them for your proposal or picnic. Their set ups are well done and gorgeous. They customize the look to what you want. It was very easy to communicate with them with any concerns or questions. I was helping my sister's bf plan his proposal, but anything he would have done would have been so bad compared to what Kimberly and Tiffany could do. The only thing I had to worry about that day was the weather and they were really accommodating about that if it was to have rained. They came 90 minutes early and on time. They finished about ten minutes before it was time and stayed around to play the music. Afterwards they helped take pics and pose them. The photos and videos were airdropped instantly. Amazing. After they gave us our time with the set up, they cleaned up everything and went on their way. So nice and convenient for us. If you want a magical proposal, please hire them! Thank you thank you thank YOU times a million for making a tucked away dream come true! I couldn't have asked for a better layout and location of the picnic for my not-really bachelorette! While this was a surprise to me, I couldn't have asked for a better set up and park location. My best friend booked a picnic for 4 and they even had a cute little seat that was fit for a 1 year old so my kiddo was sitting comfortably with us as we had our picnic. They were prompt in arriving for set up since my best friend had said the picnic was at 12p and when we got there at 12:10p, everything was already there! Including... a Polaroid with film, some games, and jenga. While we didn't get to the games because we were so lost in conversation with each other, including the very very nice "Something Special Twins" and the beauty of the set up, it was good to have there for the ones who are either on a date or a friendly get together! Everything was perfect. And the hostesses, if you will, were very friendly and easy to talk to! We wanted to help them clean up (because extra hands and help are always better!) but they shoo'ed us away and told us to leave while they cleaned up what they set up. So be warned, future customers! They won't even let you lay a finger on assisting them because they want you to leave without worry and happily - which was exactly what we did :) I cannot wait to have these gals plan another event! read more

Everyone loves a perfect and magical proposal...and this company is definitely a godsend! I wanted a proposal that is a grand gesture; but with the ring selection, hectic work schedule, and trying to keep the proposal a secret--it was stressing me out a lot! The price may seem pricey; however it's all worth it as you have experts who will make your dream proposal come alive. They have a list of romantic locations around the Bay Area and have many different props to use. I wanted a proposal in December--but due to the potential for rain, they gave me a great location with a cover! My fiancé love peonies instead of roses, and Tiffany was able to switch the rose for them! Moreover, I wanted to add a personal touch with a sign I bought from Etsy, and she was able to accommodate it into the setup. Tiffany was also really fast at responding and can answer all your questions. The company will setup the place and once you arrive, text them and they will tell everyone to get out (you'll have a lot of nosey strangers come check out the setup). Everyone gave me props and my fiancé was so stunned at how beautiful and perfect everything turned out! read more

I partnered with Kim and Tiff to bring my company offsite to life in May! We set up a luxury outdoor picnic for 20 people at shoreline lake in mountain view. From beginning to end they were communicative, flexible, and super creative. We talked about back up plans in case it rained and they also contacted the vendor to confirm all the plans prior to the event. My jaw dropped when I came a bit early on the day of and saw the complete setup. We went with a beautiful blue and white theme and Kim and Tiff set up a balloon arch, photo booth area, and lots of cute and fun lawn games and Polaroid cameras to document. They came back right on time to clean up and made the entire experience super seamless and enjoyable. Looking forward to working with them for more events in the future! read more

Unequivocally, Something Special Twin is hands down the best experience for a picnic that I have ever had. They also had the most options and the widest range for personalization from everything that I looked up. I wanted to do something for my 28th birthday, and the twins came out with a banger with the most beautiful ballon arch and everything! I even jokingly asked them if they could create a schedule of fun activities and games that my friends can play and they agreed (of course I paid extra for this service)! Everyone was floored with not only how beautiful the arrangements were, but also how versatile, creative, and fun the activities that the twins planned out and hosted throughout the afternoon. They also printed these beautiful activity schedules and other decors pertinent to my birthday. I honestly was so overwhelmed with how wonderful of a job they did. This was on top of me showing up hella late due to some traffic. I felt so bad, but they were super patient and understanding (definitely tipped them extra for the time). Overall, this was the best customer service that I have ever experienced. This was also the best money spent on a birthday or a party. Thanks to them, they created such a memorable and unforgettable experience as they went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate my whimsies. For anyone who wants a magical special day, Something Special will definitely make it a day filled with elements of something special. P.S. to have an extra fun time, I would recommend asking for their secret "menu" item of creating an activity schedule. Costs of them hosting and explaining the games goes into it as well as game materials, but it is SO WORTH IT!!! read more

We worked with Amazae from the moment we knew we wanted to get married (before we got engaged,…read moretechnically. Ha). Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True. She came in early with her assistant to get the floor for the baby shark theme ready and help us setup the tables, and contact the vendors and talk to them for the event coordination.
