I understand that rush orders may not always be possible, and I would have had no problem being told that respectfully. The issue was not the answer--it was how I was spoken to. That was especially disappointing because this is a local business, and I genuinely wanted to support a shop in the community. I had also heard positive things about the quality of their work, which is why I reached out in the first place. Unfortunately, the customer service experience immediately made me feel unwelcome and discouraged me from doing business with them. Good work matters, but so does treating potential customers with basic respect. He said he had a little trouble when ordering but was able to get on the phone and get it all worked out. Unfortunately when I went to check out, I was put in the same situation I've been in when dealing with other companies as well, with shipping across the country. So I did what I could to explain my situation of a simple email to the company. Ring ring... Denise Sawatzky (Owner/Operator) of TAGS calls me directly. After a few short minutes Denise and I had everything worked out and my order was place. I had requested an engraving for my order, and Denise let me know that the Jack, her engraver, would be emailing me a proof to make sure everything looked good before sending my order out. Shortly after, an email from Jack. The proof looked great and it was clear that he did some research to add some small personalized detail, other than the simple verbiage that I provided to them. A very pleasant and welcome surprise. Denise called again to make sure the proof was good, and shortly after I received another email that my order was shipped! I wasn't expecting such amazing and expedited customer service, but this organization gives me faith that there are still companies out there who care about their customers and will do whatever it takes to provide the very best business possible. David emailed me two options for shirts that would ensure that I get them in time for tomorrow but we chose to not get the shirts made this time around because my clan members (people I play the game with) didn't know which shirt to pick but we wanted to look uniform. One of my clan members actually came up with a layout that works better for the design we have, unfortunately there isn't enough time to get it done by tomorrow. Totally understandable, I mean, it's tomorrow, I get it. I emailed David back and apologized for using up his time without ordering a shirt; he replied and told me that he loves working on shirts like the one with the new layout (I'd tell you about it but I'd rather have it made and then post David & his team's amazing work before revealing anything). He told me that he'd play around with the design some more - I was ecstatic to hear that because it has shown me that David truly cares about what he produces.
