    Broken leg

I recently had Fine Art Restore do a repair on my Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse figurine. A very large ceramic piece that I have had for over 20 years. The piece is about two feet tall and had developed cracks in both legs that needed to be repaired urgently as they are structural not just cosmetic. Alina did a great job with fixing the structural issues with Mickey's legs, glued and filled all the cracks, and then painted everything so it doesn't look repaired. I feel she changed a fair price to fix the issues as they were pretty extensive and she made sure to make it look as good as new! Very happy overall and recommend Fine Art Restore for your restoration needs.

One of my spheres from my coffee table shattered and Alina was super responsive and repaired it in about a week at an extremely reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back if needed!

I bought a large painting knowing it needed to be cleaned and wanting the frame liner replaced if it can't be cleaned. I found Alina in Yelp and read consistent positive reviews so I called her. When I brought her the painting, I realized she's a pro right away from the observations she made and how she answered my questions. So I left it with her to clean. When I picked it up I was amazed how much more brighter the colors are (it was dirtier than I thought). She also painted the liner so that it looked new! She also re-wired the hanging wire and pulled out some unnecessary staples from the back of this 1959 painting. Her price was fair and she did an overall excellent job. I highly recommend her!!!

Alina took a small horse statue that was in pieces and made it whole again. But she made even better than before it was damaged. This piece has a lot of emotion connected to it. So the restoration was especially important to me.

Arm broke. Fixed so you couldn't even tell. Great work!! Thanks!!

Arm broke and was fixed so you couldn't even tell. Reasonable price. Great work. Thank you!

In reviewing Alina's Yelp page, I saw that she repairs or works on other projects in addition to her art restoration profession. I had a large metal tub that was used as a plant container. I wanted to repurpose it and needed it to be water proofed and painted gold. She did a fabulous job. It has a beautiful antique look and is waterproof. She also helped me frame a needle point canvas that my mother did in 1956. Sentimental value. I now have that framed. Thank you, Alina! You will see me again. :-)

Alina did a fantastic job restoring and reframing 2 painting that I had neglected for a while. She is so responsive and the work is impeccable with reasonable prices.

My problem was that in my old city (Houston) I enjoyed the services of a master art framer who worked wonders for me and other clients including MOMA in New York and the Museum of Fine Arts in H-Town. So finding someone who could even approach the quality & artistic standards I was accustomed to seemed like an impossible task. After considerable online research (including AI assistance!) I set my sights on Peter and Valencia Art & Framing and wowzer did I hit a grand slam home run! Peter matched & even exceeded the quality of craftsmanship and artistic eye I had grown accustomed to. He was spot on with every single one of his matte & framing suggestions and the end result was nothing short of spectacular! His efforts were actually easy on the pocketbook (especially in light of the quality of his work) and turnaround was amazingly quick. So stop putting off getting the special photo, artwork or poster properly framed and get on over to Peter - you'll find you are in the best of hands!

Your attempt to deflect responsibility and dismiss my well-documented concerns as "false authentication" is both unprofessional and demonstrably untrue. First and foremost, neither you, Virginia Pannizzon, nor anyone at FACL are recognized experts on John Leslie Breck or his works. You are in no position to declare my painting or its signature "fake," particularly when Bonhams Los Angeles--one of the most reputable auction houses--had already placed an initial auction estimate on my painting before it was brought to your facility. Bonhams' willingness to assign an estimate indicates that they considered the painting to be authentic. However, due to the irreversible damage inflicted upon my painting by your conservator, Bonhams and other auction houses will now likely refuse to list the work. Furthermore, you state that my painting was "not damaged at all," yet I have photographic before and after proof documenting the drastic alterations made to the painting under Virginia Pannizzon's care. These include: 1. Significant paint loss on the right side of the painting, particularly in the dark tree canopy and vegetation, which was stripped away due to Virginia's careless, heavy-handed varnish removal process. 2. Destruction of the artist's original signature and date, which were nearly obliterated. The crude and unethical attempt to repaint the signature is inaccurate in both form and color, making the damage even more apparent. 3. A condition report from Virginia herself, in which she acknowledges that damage occurred under her care. I have this document in my possession, further proving that you are knowingly providing false information in your statements. Despite the overwhelming evidence of your facility's negligence, you continue to evade responsibility and even go so far as to call me delusional. This is not only insulting but highlights your complete lack of professionalism, accountability and contempt for your client for calling out your very poor business practices. It is disgraceful that your company refuses to disclose its insurance provider, forcing me to take legal action to obtain this information. Your employee, Gina, has outright stated that I must hire a lawyer to determine your insurance carrier, further demonstrating FACL's hubris and refusal to be held accountable for its reckless art conservation practices. Given the extensive evidence I have provided, I once again demand full financial compensation for the irreversible damage caused to my painting. If you continue to deny responsibility, I will escalate this matter through legal channels, insurance claims, and more public awareness, ensuring that your unethical business practices are exposed. I expect a formal written response addressing this matter by March 21, 2025. Failure to do so will confirm your unwillingness to engage in a professional resolution, and I will pursue all necessary legal actions against Fine Art Conservation Laboratories, Inc.

Sometimes it's not just the framing! The word "Gallery"…read moredescribes a place for exhibiting and selling art but really it's so much more. For me it's the experience - the time spent looking, studying, and simply browsing a collection is worth gold to me. Chemers Gallery in Tustin is that place that offers that whole experience. Every time I go in there, which I admit isn't near often enough but probably more than some, I delight in "finds". I have a fairly decent collection of artwork and it's not confined to paintings. I've ceramics, sculptures, glasswork, pottery, photographs, and a few weird pieces of found object works as well. Quite a few of those pieces have come from this jewel of a gallery so close to home. The owner Karen, and her friendly staff have always allowed me the luxury to simply roam. I have to walk through numerous times to take everything in. I get distracted by one or two pieces and then turn around and find something else completely unexpected. And, it becomes mine. I love this place!! I am a retired healthcare designer and Chemers was the art consultant on a few of our firms healthcare projects. What I enjoyed was the chosen works were always different from the predictable works too often seen in healthcare spaces and, they always complimented the concepts of our interiors. I also love the shows and exhibitions they often host here. Often soliciting works from local artists, craftspeople, and even foodies, these "pop-up" shows are always good for gifts, wearables, and sometimes taste-ables! And if I'm lucky, I often walk away with a new piece! I always look forward to stopping in on these shows and could spend an hour or more perusing. Do yourself a favor and visit this gallery - oh, and of course, don't forget, they also do excellent framing!!
