I enjoy helping small businesses over going to the big box stores, so we will definitely be coming back here for all our aquarium and pet needs! Their prices are as low as any of the big chains or even the online stores. We get our dogfood there as they carry the big bags we like. This groomer has no business touching a dog. Contacted the "Manager Sara" and she defended the groomer. The dog was not dirty or matted when she was brought in. Local store management recommended I escalate it to the main office. The main office took my statement and said they would get back with me in a few days. Two weeks passed and I contacted them again. At this point they blew me off saying that their manager Sara said it was a racial thing (totally a lie, nothing further from the fact). They didn't want to pursue it any further. Read the back of their receipt. They say they offer 100% satisfaction guarantee and treat our pet's well. No refund offered and obviously did not treat our pet well at all! PS - if it were racial how would that justify a groomer completely shaving a Perinaise this way? An entry level groomer would know certain breeds should Never be shaved - especially like this. I actually showed this to the groomer (Katie) at Natural Pawz before she started on my dog. My dog is nine years old and has never had such a horrible grooming job. Katie (or Katy, I don't know the correct spelling for her name) was the groomer. My appointment was on a Sunday (yesterday). It was my first time taking my dog here, so I gave Katie detailed instructions about how I wanted her groomed. I even showed Katie a cute picture of my dog on a walk (attached) after being groomed by her regular groomer in Houston. I told Katie how I wanted my dog's face, ears, body and tail groomed. I said my dog gets a Lamb's cut. Katie even asked me what blade was used on her body and I said #1. She then asked what type of blade for her legs. I said I didn't know. I asked for pink or red bows in my dog's hair and Katie told me they didn't do bows. I said ok. I dropped my dog off and went home. Several hours later, my husband picked up our dog from this location. The groomer was finishing up my dog. There were bows in her hair. My husband told them to take the bows out because they looked awful. He was rushing to get home, checked out and tipped the groomer $10 because we always tip our dog groomer. As soon as he got home and I saw our dog, she looked like she hadn't been groomed at all!!! She had been bathed but her fur looked terrible. All of the notes I gave Katie were ignored and my husband told me he paid $84.69 for this mess. I drove back to this location to speak with the groomer directly. Katie the groomer was upfront. I showed her my dog's fur. I said to her how my dog looked cleaned but not groomed. I asked if she was using dull scissors. Lisa, the other employee, said the grooming scissors were sharpened last week. I bent over and showed Katie my dog's legs. The fur was not cut smoothly and it was cut shorter than I asked. I asked for full legs. Her tail was bushy and fuzzy like it hadn't been brushed or trimmed. Katie said, "you said you wanted a full tail." My dog's face was still very furry and the top of head hadn't been trimmed. Her ears were full of hair, too! Katie never clipped the inside of her ears. Lisa said "your husband was just here and didn't have any complaints about the cut." Everything I said was countered by Katie and Lisa with excuses and justification. I was furious. I told both of them I would not pay for a full groom. I said we would pay for the bath but demanded a refund for the horrible grooming. I also said they charge way more than the groomer in Houston and did an AWFUL JOB. Lisa said she was not authorized to give me a refund. I asked Lisa for the manager's name, cell phone and email address. She wrote down "Adam D., 346-923-7259 and store226@naturalpawz.com." She did not tell me she gave the store phone number, though. I called the number from the parking lot and it was the store! No one answered the phone. So I went back into the store. No one was upfront anymore. Lisa heard someone come in and came upfront. I told her she gave me the store phone number not the manager's cell. She said she's not allowed to give out his personal cell. I asked why he didn't have a direct work number. She shrugged. I said to her, "in the future be transparent with the customer. All you had to do was tell me that." Lisa made it a point to tell me she didn't know when Adam would be back in the store this week. I left angry. I drove back home and took these photos of my dog and emailed them to the manager. I also emailed the cute picture of my dog to the manager. Today, when I called the store, Lisa answered. I asked for the manager and she said we don't know when Adam will be back in the store. Don't take a chance with these people and don't let Katie groom your dog. You may never get your refund or good quality service.
