So my QX56 SUV was rear-end on the highway at highway speeds by some fool who failed to see the construction zone and the stopping traffic. Needless to say my car needed some work done to it. Final Touch was excellent. Mike Reed was attentive, kept me informed, worked with my insurance company and returned the car in fantastic fully detailed condition. He even noticed on my rear window that the tint film was scratched and fixed this before the window was re-installed in the new hatch door. This was not in the quote and I didn't even know it existed. If you need your car fixed, it was worth my 17 mile drive from the city out to see them. Awesome job guys!! read more

Final touch always gets my body repair work done with perfection, on time, and at the price quoted.

Dropped of a door shell and a hood for painting, I also supplied Mike with a quart of paint. All he had to do was to use my paint, prep and spray. I took all the responsibility for color matching. I also removed hardware from the hood and door, including handle, mirror, etc. Mike looked at the job and gave me a quote, in which I agreed without question. The job did not turn out well, painting of the door was not complete, a top section was not painted due to a partially removed molding which they did not remove. Hood had bad edges in which the paint was flaking, final sanding and polishing of the hood was horrible, you could see all the sanding marks. I brought the door and hood back and Mike and he agreed to redo it. I thought that all was good at this time, this all changed when I picked up the parts the following week. Mike removed the trim on the door as he should have done it the first time, but he did not reinstall it as he should, claiming that he is not a "restoration shop" and he does not like to take in business with people that watch YouTube. He then continued with a total melt down and I left the shop feeling confused. I never forced him to take this simple job, I did not tell him how much I wanted to pay and I did not expect to be yelled at by a lunatic when I returned to pick up my parts. So, if you are looking for a professional paint shop and expect to be treated fairly, this is not the place for you. In my opinion, maybe after 40 years of painting, Mike just inhaled way too much paint fumes. I can go on, but you get the picture... read more

Final Touch - Door and hood removed from car - Body Shops Near Me - Highland Park, Illinois

Mike did great. Body work is expensive, but Mike at Final Touch gave me a fair quote. He was responsive and did the job well, on time and at the price he quoted. I will recommend Final Touch to my friends and family. read more

We were introduced to this place by a We Deal offer the wife purchased, knowing she needed some body work. Went to 2 neighboring places first, then to the Final Touch. Not only a better price, but the work was beyond expectation. Dents repaired, touch ups, detail- all spectacular. Decided to bring car #2 for front and rear bumpers, dents, scratches and detailing, and WHOAAA, looked like right off the assembly line (the car's an '02 no less). Mike's the guy- no bs and won't steer you into throwing $ away. read more

Just picked up our Lexus RX350 that had minor body damage. The work was done meticuously and as promised. Mike was honest and straightforward on all counts. Would not hesitate to bring all future work to his shop. read more

Better than promised. Mike was exceptional and car was ready a day early. Thanks Mike

I just picked up BMW X3 after having the rear bumper replaced and can't say enough about how pleased I am with the work and service received. Because they ordered the required parts in advance, I was able to get my car back one day after dropping it off. The work was perfect - paint matched and parts fit like new AND the cost was much less than any of the other estimates received. I highly recommend Final Touch. Ask for Mike! read more

Mike is a rigorously honest business person and is determined that clients leave his shop satisfied. This is the second time I've brought my car to his shop and can't imagine taking it anywhere else! The price is more than fair and the work makes it look like I paid much, much more! Thanks again, Mike. read more

I have used Final Touch for many years and always walk away impressed by Mike Reed and the team. Most recently he took care of my daughters car and did a terrific job! More important I trust him. read more

Excellent place. Went here on the recommendation of the Porsche Exchange to have my door and fender refinished (it had been keyed). Felt reassured once I saw a couple other P-cars being worked on (Panamera and another Cayenne). The work turned out perfectly.....just as they said it would. It also was done in the amount of time they promised and the price was great. Definitely call Mike if you need your car worked on.....whether it's a Porsche or something else. read more

This place is great! I needed work done on my hood and now it looks perfect. They even cleaned my car inside and out. Only 4 stars because they forgot to reinstall these rubber bumpers so I have to go back monday for them to do that. But other than that I would highly recommend this body shop. read more

I took my Chevy to them and they did an amazing job I will recommend anyone and everybody to their shop the pricing was good the work was amazing read more

My car got hit by another car`s door in a parking lot. I settled with the (crappy) insurance company and was thrilled that a body shop in Highland Park was on their provider list. The gentlemen that own and run this shop are pleasant, professional and helpful. I added on a full detail and PDR on another little ding. My car was ready when promised and they even brought it over to HP Ford for an oil change for me. Highly recommend! read more

I had two cars detailed this week. They came back like new. Mike provided the best friendly service. Price was good. EXCELLENT JOB and highly recommended. read more

This is my 2nd time using Mike Reed's shop and while you hope you dont get body damage to your car, if you do it comes back looking new! He is quick and his prices are great. I didnt even recognize it was our car. Their attention to detail is evident. Would not hesitate to use them or recommend him. read more

100% satisfaction. They did a terrific job on my car after a little touch up paint incident. Highly recommended. The car looks better then is did before the incident. They really did a great job. The price way extremely resonoble. read more

This is the worst place to take your car to. I inspected their repairs and found contamination, peeling, sanding marks, overspray, bubbles in the paint, cracks, and other imperfections that could have been prevented by a clean air supply, good workmanship and a clean atmosphere. The paint looks really bad and i will never recommend this shop to anyone. The paint doesn't even match in certain spots. I wonder if all the people who posted 5 star reviews even bothered to inspect their vehicles. read more

Wow just wow! Mike Reed and his staff were super easy to work with and did an absolutely beautiful job fixing my 2011 Audi Q5. Their estimate came in much lower than other body shops. Great customer service! They even gave me a ride home to Deerfield after I dropped my car off so I could avoid having to use an Uber. The car looked practically brand new when I picked it up. I highly recommend these guys if you should find yourself needing body work. read more

Went here for the first time about a week ago based on a recommendation from my car dealer (yes, my car dealer gets their returned leased cars touched up here before resale). Never been here before and never heard of this place until my car dealer mentioned it. I had just bought a used car and had it waxed, power buffed, and the leather seats conditioned by Final Touch. They even used the touch up paint (from my dealer) and went over the entire car. My used car looks like new! I had full car details done before at the local car wash but this place actually cost less than my fancy car wash detail (I was surprised too). Final touch also does dent removal and body work if your used car needs it so it's a great one stop place to get your car looking nice again. Not a fancy place - looks like a big warehouse - but I will be back to get my second car done. read more

Final Touch did a great job fixing/re-painting my hood after a DIY paint touch up gone horribly wrong. Color is perfect match and looks brand new. Best part was price came in less than half of next lowest quote and about 1/3 of the price of the dealership. Very reasonable! Would not hesitate to use again. read more

This body shop was new to me but was recommended by my auto mechanic, who's opinion I thoroughly trust. Oh, and I drove all the way from the north side of Chicago to this shop and it was well worth the drive. I brought my Acura RSX-S in for an estimate on front bumper damage. The bumper had a very deep 'U' shaped valley in it's underside, from running over a high parking space barrier. I was certain that I would need a new bumper and was expecting the estimate to reflect this. Happily one of the shop's owners, Darek, examined the bumper damage and told me it could easily be fixed, no need to order a new bumper. His quote was even better news! The quote was very reasonable so I had them do the work. I couldn't be happier with the results. The bumper was professionally repaired to brand new condition. And the paint work is flawless and matches the rest of the car perfectly. A very nice, and unexpected, surprise was that they hand washed and cleaned the interior of the car, at no charge. I have had my car in high-end, high priced shops and they haven't bothered to do this. I highly recommended this shop, you won't be disappointed with them. Their work is the very best and their prices are very reasonable. If I ever need repairs again I will definitely return. Thanks Darek, your shop is the best! read more
