Bill did a great job removing my dated flourscent lights in my kitchen and installing recessed lights. He went above and beyond to prep the work area by covering the entire kitchen and all the flooring from the kitchen to the front door so that nothing in our house would get dirty. We didn't even ask him to do this, it's just the way he operates which is awesome. The kitchen lights turned out very nice and the retexturing of the ceiling was also done very well. We also had one room remaining from the previous owner of our home that still had popcorn ceilings. He was able to remove it and retexture the ceiling all in one visit and it was also done very well. After reading the other great reviews for this company, I called for an estimate. Bill answered my first telephone call and was kind, considerate and extremely thorough in explaining the removal process for popcorn ceilings. Before calling, I read up on the process so I could ask the appropriate questions. Even with my limited knowledge and questions, Bill was patient and explained his pricing level as well. From this first phone call, I knew that his company was going to be the one for us. Bill answered my numerous texts and calls; each time treating me with courtesy and respect. He was on time for the in home estimate and gave me a "pre-estimate" the same day. Our home was built in 1960 so for our own peace of mind, we had the ceilings tested for asbestos. As a pragmatist, I turn to yelp for all things: food, mechanic, hair stylist, theater venues, dentist - when it's an issue of service, food, you-name-it - yelp's my first go-to. SO...when it came to looking for a contractor to work on our acoustic popcorn ceilings, I naturally deferred to yelp. That was how I came across Final Touch. Having had a bad experience with a contractor (who talked the talk, but was far from walking the walk) a couple of years back, I was wary of searching the market again, BUT the ceilings were in dire need of a makeover so I had little choice. I e-mailed Bill, the owner, and asked if he would be willing to come by and provide us with an estimate. He agreed and we set up a time to meet. We had also made an appointment with another contractor that same week, but the meeting with Bill went so well (and he left us with such a great impression) that we didn't even bother to meet the other dude and contracted with Bill that same day...and boy, am I glad we did! Bill and his crew were great to work with. I really appreciated his professionalism - in his e-mails and his in-person communication. When he uncovered our ceilings, it turned out that the condition was MUCH MUCH worse than previously thought. Most contractors would have balked at the job or demanded an entirely new contract, but not Bill (and for that, I am grateful!). We made minor adjustments here and there, as needed. Bill worked the issue out, and did so much more than we could have ever asked for. Given the state of our ceilings, he and his crew really went above and beyond and made it work. This job was no joke, but they pulled it off like the pros they proved themselves to be. Bill even installed some lights (that came with crazy instructions) for us and did the molding for the ceiling. Their quality work and work ethic left us really impressed. Each of the days they came, they arrived on time, did great work, and cleaned up after themselves. We would hire them again in a heartbeat! We had a bubble from water damage repaired and an old fluorescent light box in the kitchen removed and recessed LED lighting installed. The drywall they replaced and texture match look great! From the first point of contact with them to the crew that was sent was excellent. They called the day before to confirm their appointment and to clarify all of the work that was to be done. Bill came on time with his workers to confirm placement of all of the recessed lighting and we ended up having several other lights installed in other rooms along with a ceiling fan bracket. Edward and Oscar started the prep work immediately. They covered all of the walkways in and out of my house to protect the surfaces. Oscar and Edward were very friendly, extremely careful with the moving the furniture, and cleaned up beautifully. Originally I was going to paint the ceiling myself, but they did such a great job on the drywall and lighting, I had them come back a week later to paint the whole ceiling. I had Final Touch Custom Ceilings remove the popcorn ceilings in my home several months ago. The living room, dining room, family room and master bedroom were high ceilings. Two other bedrooms were standard height ceilings. The crew arrived on time as scheduled, took great care to protect all areas that were not going to be touched. Allowed me to watch them and ask questions as they took the popcorn ceilings down. Cleaned up when they left that day. Returned the following day on time as scheduled and again took time to protect all areas that were not going to be textured and painted. Cleaned up at the end of that day and removed all left over materials. The gentlemen were respectful of my furniture and moved items carefully. Bill was professional from our first meeting. I received several bids to take off all my popcorn ceiling in my home (2400 square feet) which was built in 1986. Some companies said, my ceilings were too high, they wouldn't do that section. Others wanted extra money for the high ceilings and/or to run the electricity for the recessed lighting to the high ceiling. This was not the case with Final Touch Custom Ceilings. I decided to sign the contract to remove all the popcorn ceiling, straighten the ceiling where there was an opening with Florissant lights, and install recessed lighting all over the house. We scheduled the days he would be at my house (3 days in a row, then 1 more after everything dried). They kept to the schedule and finished the entire job on time. His crew of 3 men worked so hard doing a great job all the days they were here. They cleaned up each day when they were done. It turned out much better than I would have ever imagined. You would never know there was an opening in the kitchen area because it is perfectly straight now and looks great. The last day of completion, Bill went around the house to make sure everything was working correctly (the recessed lights) and checked the painting, too.
