When I decided to cut my dreads off over a year ago I decided to book a cut with Rich. I'm glad I did. He gave me the best haircut I've ever had and I've never looked back. I've been getting my hair cut by Rich ever since. I was a little nervous to not book a black or a Dominican barber because that's all I've known. But, I'm glad I took the leap and I would highly recommend it. read more

One of my fav barber shops in the city. The owner actually has competition with my list because his Queens location is pretty dope too. This shop has a more upscale artisan feel. I always get a cut from Rich, he puts so much precision into his work. He's also on the celebrity clientele side, you never know who you may run into at this hub. The other barbers are very friendly and always busy so they must be good too! read more

I've schedule 5-6 appointments here and every time the shop reaches out to reschedule the morning of the appointment. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if you all decide when is convenient for you. Good haircuts though and Ronnie is chill. But such a fried operation, terrible way to run a business. read more

I've been going to this barbershop for a couple of years and only have good things to say. Rich is the man! He is reliable and dedicated. I originally came to him after years of barber roulette where I never knew what I was getting. Sometimes they were late or just inconsistent. Rich exudes confidence and he applies that to his craft. I remember explaining to him what I wanted and it took about two sentences before he categorically stated "done" and went ahead and crushed it. He is super consistent and is also great if you're trying to experiment with a new look. He gives suggestions and teaches you how to style and maintain the look. I'd trust him if I said nothing and he just gave me what he thought looked good. He's also an expert in barber talk, the cut flys by and it doesn't distract him from being precise. I've also gone to several of the other barbers of this shop who are also great for many of the same reasons. If you need a cut, go here and you will not regret it. read more

called for a price and I will never spend 80+ for a haircut. I am Sorry.. I guess only filthy rich people go there.

Best Cuts, Jenny is the best barber I've had. Couldn't recommend her enough! She gives a mean fade

I just moved to the Upper East Side and man am I disappointed because Darren and Ronnie won't be down the block. Both guys are so professional, and take their time when they cut your hair. If you have specific requests, they'll listen unlike some other spots nearby. Keep winning boys Best, Colin read more

Needed a shop close to home and saw this place getting ready to open so put it on my to-do list. Place looked fly so i figure why not. Over the weekend..need a cut...walking by and see a very pretty woman barber. Thinking to self..never had a cut from a woman, lets test this .. Turns out to my surprise that Jenni does know how to cut! And I would assume by the look of it that all barbers in this place know what they are doing. Jenni is great though...cool convo..makes you comfortable and gets the job done. As for the spot itself...dope! Where else will you find quotes from biggie hanging in a nice frame with an alva skateboard laying on the wall and animal skull hanging in the restroom? Place is very, very clean...could be due to just opening but hopefully stays that way. As for the price...egh. Thinking of dropping a star due to this but it is WillyB and I guess we pay for the experience also. C'mon guys..$35 though? Any latino hood in NYC will be found great barbers that could fade with only the razor if necessary for 12 bucks. Oh, how could I forget..complimentary drinks! No need to worry about the 5th star! Place is worth it. Definately worth a visit. read more

Huge shout out to Jules for hooking my hair up. A little over two weeks ago I got my first undercut and it was a hot mess! My boyfriend reccomend this place to me and I'm so glad I was able to get an appointment. From the decor to the music to the actual talent of the people here. I'm impressed. Jules was so patient with me and explained everything. She took her time and did such an amazing job that I will definitely be back in the future. read more

Good vibes here. Got a solid haircut by Jordan. Excellent attention to detail. I'd come back here again for sure.

Jules, Victor and Jenny always do a fantastic job, and have a long list of clientele. This place has been my go-to for the last few years. It's super easy to make a reservation, and a fun place to be. Shout out to Jules for always laying down a solid cut. read more

This is the spot! I can't say enough about Filthy Rich! They give the cleanest cuts. They give you exactly what you ask for and the shop just has dope vibe. Make sure to make an appointment they because the are usually booked for walk-ins. I've seen Jules a few times now and she's has given me the best haircuts I've ever had! Prices range from $50, $70 and $90. But it's 100% worth the money. Quality baby! Quality! read more

Excellent experience, Ronnie has been my barber for 3+ years and every time I leave with satisfaction. He engages in conversation throughout the haircut and makes sure he pays attention to detail. Ronnie goes above and beyond to make your money worth it. 100% recommend to book him for an appointment. read more

My little man had his first cut by Jenny a few weeks ago; I was so impressed with how he sat still through out the cut (not one single complaint or whine) + the outcome that I decided to give Jenny another visit today. Still no complaints and no whining + the cut came out perfect again. Tyler has extremely heavy hair; she thins out his hair perfectly. Happy child = Happy Mom. read more

Jenny you rock! She was awesome, great conversation and not to mention I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she did better then the photo! Great chill atmosphere and super friendly staff... read more

This place is a chic trendy shop. It is heavily in the vein of those hip hop Esque barbershops you see in movies and TV shows. Each barber in alot of ways has their own unique personality and all can cut hair really well. The only thing is like many barbershops politics can overwhelm professionalism. Meaning that appointments can get canceled or moved, or other clients the barber might be cooler with can bump your appointment slot. If your looking for a good haircut this is a great place to stop by but the way they go about setting up booking appointments is not the most optimal. read more

Ugh! This hurts my heart... Especially when I see the generous reviews made by others. Leaving a bad review is something I never want to do because I am all for small businesses and definitely want them to succeed. Having said that, I feel this review is necessary. Full disclosure this was in October. I have been to this establishment twice. The first time I walked right in, sat in the chair and received a good cut from a very talented woman who had a chill personality and kept good conversation. Nothing bad about this experience. Weeks later I returned, noticed the same woman was working, only this time was told I needed to schedule an appointment. No big deal and completely understandable. I was told the only time available was 6pm-thought I would be cutting it close so I asked if it was okay if I come a little after, just trying to cover all bases. Was told it would not be a problem. Arrived at 6:10 and was told in a very nasty fashion that I was late so my appointment was cancelled. What? But you said... Trying to defuse the incoming aggression, I smiled and apologized for not being there at six-sharp. There was another woman there who stated she was free and available to cut my hair. Now, before I get into the "haircut", I must say the whole time I am getting the death stare from the woman I made the appointment with and another male barber. Frankly, the male barber seemed to want me to say something so he could either ask me to leave (which I would have) or fight (also, which I would have) . Not cool by any means, I was just looking for a cut. The attempt at intimidation was not necessary and definitely was not working. As for the cut, this person thrashed my hair... As she continued to talk shit about having "white people" hair? Nice... I sat through it, gave a $10 tip and never returned again. I noticed the owner the first time I was there and he seemed like a solid guy. Can't say I have any reason to return, but would be down to get a cut from him at his other location. read more

This place is cool. I alternate between Victor and Lee who are both super dope. They give great cuts and great convos. I love that they take online appointments and anytime Victor is late(which is rare) he apologizes which I appreciate. I even took my mom to Victor to cut almost of her hair off and she's been dying to go back but their schedules don't match up. He gave her a super modern cut which she loves. What makes them extra special is after cutting your hair they put a hot towel on your Face before using the razor to shape you up. The only negative is the owner is a prick who has seen me there several times and has only said hello to me once when my girlfriend was present. Luckily, he's not there all of the time. Maybe I'm not cool enough or I don't spend enough money for him to acknowledge me. Whatever. He's the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5. read more

Jenny has the skills!!! After reading a lot of positive reviews and checking out her dope instagram, I scheduled an appointment with her and she did not disappoint! She made me feel comfortable and exude a confidence that "she got me". She and all the other barbers here bring a super chill vibe. Definitely a reflection of the owner and commander in chief, Rich. He is one of the most humble and down to earth individuals I've ever met. It's no wonder why himself and his shops are successful. The shop itself is dope and prices may seem high to some but like most ppl have said, you get what you pay for and you're definitely getting quality when you walk out of this shop. Walk in filthy, come out rich! read more

Rich is a top of the line barber, one of the best in the business. On top of all that, he's an even cooler guy. Always extremely humble, friendly and welcoming to all his clients, new and old. Top of the line haircut and service. I've gotten my haircuts from Rich and few other members of his staff when he's too busy and they are all at the top of their game, otherwise they wouldn't be there. They represent an elite brand. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a legit barbershop. You get what you pay for when it comes to Filthy Rich. read more

Super Dope place! The staff is always friendly & inclusive! The prices don't break your wallet also! The past few times I've gone, I've seen Ronnie. I don't think you guys understand, when you sit in his chair you leave feeling and looking like a King. All props & good things to this amazing staff! I highly recommend!! read more

jenny is the best! i went this place because i had a cheap haircut(i used to have medium long hair) and really mess up my hair i went this place walk in for a fix and jenny did fantastic job on my hair she gave me a skin fade which cut my hair short although the styling wasn't so great(my fault cause of my thin hair) but i end it with good result when i went back home and style it myself. shes like the angel that will save your day! if not at least it saved mine. the shop has a really cool vibe that i like, skill wise was no doubt. read more

I recently walked past this shop and made a mental note to check of FRB online. After reading very positive feedback on multiple forums, I decided to give FRB a shot today. I was very impressed with the quality of the haircut for the price as i'm accustomed to pay upwards of $150 for a similar haircut from a barber in Chelsea. Though fair to me, $35 out prices the other barbershops that litter the neighborhood and may seem like a stretch for others; there is no comp to the quality in these other shops. Victor is beyond a skilled barber and my cut exceeded my expectations. He was attentive, thorough and asked clarifying questions before starting a different phase of the cut. I highly recommend this shop to locals, brooklynites and guys in downtown manhattan looking for a quality cut; it is just a few steps from the Marcy Station. read more

I got a cut from the shop owner, Rich; as well as Victor. Both were extremely professional barbers with a lot of skill. I got nearly identical cuts from both, and was happy with both results. The space is small, but well appointed and had a cool vibe. Glad I found a shop close to me with multiple barbers I trust to keep me looking clean. Price wise it was comparable, if not a little cheaper than similar upscale shops in Williamsburg. Overall I'm really happy they opened up, and will continue to go and tell my friends to check it out as well. Highly recommended! read more

Jenny is simply the best in Brooklyn. I was stoked to find her still in BK delivering the best cuts I've ever received. Precision cut, fade, clipper work, and attention to ensure you get a cut you're satisfied with. The shop itself is exactly what you'd expect from a WB shop (in a good way). Chill atmosphere, good music, and professional cuts. Make an appt. online and GO! You will not be disappointed. read more

Don't even think about it, just go! I booked an appointment with Rich for my hubby and son because he was frustrated with his past barber. No lie, you get what you pay for so its definitely worth the $..Its been almost 2 wks and he still looks sharp! Love this place! read more

The professional hair grooming etiquette of Filthy Rich Barbershop is well beyond any standard I know. Definitely worth every penny with the motto of "coming in filthy and walking out rich" is nothing but the truth in their service. Well maintained establishment, friendly and courteous staff. Wait till they see me now cuz I'll be stunting like a superstar for the weekend. read more

I usually don't leave feedback for businesses that have given me horrible service, but this struck me differently. Originally I saw this barber featured on YouTube, and thought I wanted the look I see in all the pictures. I have very tall hair, and have been growing it for a while just to create the shape. So when I sat in the barbers chair I explained that I wanted to "keep the shape and not cut anything off that is already grown (as far as pretty long)" "Yeah I got you" she affirmed me she does this cut style often and including now a days that the style cut is in. After the cut was done I paid and left. When I got home I looked in the mirror playing with my hair and not just strands BUT a good chunk of hair falls out! She brought the machine up to close, so I called back and asked to speak to the manager. They put what I could assume was the manager and now know to be the owner on and I tell him I'm dissatisfied with the cut because she took off the hair I have been growing this whole time. He says "I don't get what you're saying" "she didn't fade it properly and when I got home a huge chunk of hair came off because she brought the machine up to close" I said. "What? Are you trying to say my barbers can't cut hair, I trained them myself, we cut celebrities hair!" He snapped back "so what do you want me to do because as a small business owner we aren't allowed for refunds so I can give you a free cut" he added. "Honestly, you expect me to want to go back to a place that cut off hair, so you can do it again in a later time?" I said "well then I'm telling you I can't glue hair back, and you probably explained it wrong because we cut celebrities hair, my guys (girls) are top notch barbers" he claimed. "Well I guess because I'm not a celebrity I walk out the shop looking like this" I hung up. Pissed that I have to grow my hair out again. Silver lining; its hat season so I can regrow in style. Maybe she did get the idea wrong after I visually showed her what I wanted, in both pictures and with my hands, but even if I'm not a celebrity I should be treated with just as much care. read more

You can do a lot better for a haircut for $50 on the same block. Mine wasn't great. Also didn't get a good vibe that the barbers are watching TV. Low energy and not paying attention read more

I don't get why this place runs on appointments. I'd booked a 3pm with anyone. Came in at 255. Told them I had an appointment at 3. One guy leaves at 3 and go starts his lunch in a cafe.
