I've been going to this barbershop for a couple of years and only have good things to say. Rich is the man! He is reliable and dedicated. I originally came to him after years of barber roulette where I never knew what I was getting. Sometimes they were late or just inconsistent. Rich exudes confidence and he applies that to his craft. I remember explaining to him what I wanted and it took about two sentences before he categorically stated "done" and went ahead and crushed it. He is super consistent and is also great if you're trying to experiment with a new look. He gives suggestions and teaches you how to style and maintain the look. I'd trust him if I said nothing and he just gave me what he thought looked good. He's also an expert in barber talk, the cut flys by and it doesn't distract him from being precise. Needed a shop close to home and saw this place getting ready to open so put it on my to-do list. Place looked fly so i figure why not. Over the weekend..need a cut...walking by and see a very pretty woman barber. Thinking to self..never had a cut from a woman, lets test this .. Turns out to my surprise that Jenni does know how to cut! And I would assume by the look of it that all barbers in this place know what they are doing. Jenni is great though...cool convo..makes you comfortable and gets the job done. As for the spot itself...dope! Where else will you find quotes from biggie hanging in a nice frame with an alva skateboard laying on the wall and animal skull hanging in the restroom? Place is very,very clean...could be due to just opening but hopefully stays that way. As for the price...egh. Thinking of dropping a star due to this but it is WillyB and I guess we pay for the experience also. C'mon guys..$35 though? Any latino hood in NYC will be found great barbers that could fade with only the razor if necessary for 12 bucks. Oh, how could I forget..complimentary drinks! No need to worry about the 5th star! This place is a chic trendy shop. It is heavily in the vein of those hip hop Esque barbershops you see in movies and TV shows. Each barber in alot of ways has their own unique personality and all can cut hair really well. The only thing is like many barbershops politics can overwhelm professionalism. Meaning that appointments can get canceled or moved, or other clients the barber might be cooler with can bump your appointment slot. If your looking for a good haircut this is a great place to stop by but the way they go about setting up booking appointments is not the most optimal. read more

Ugh! This hurts my heart... Especially when I see the generous reviews made by others. Leaving a bad review is something I never want to do because I am all for small businesses and definitely want them to succeed. Having said that, I feel this review is necessary. Full disclosure this was in October. I have been to this establishment twice. The first time I walked right in, sat in the chair and received a good cut from a very talented woman who had a chill personality and kept good conversation. Nothing bad about this experience. Weeks later I returned, noticed the same woman was working, only this time was told I needed to schedule an appointment. No big deal and completely understandable. I was told the only time available was 6pm-thought I would be cutting it close so I asked if it was okay if I come a little after, just trying to cover all bases. Was told it would not be a problem. Arrived at 6:10 and was told in a very nasty fashion that I was late so my appointment was cancelled. What? But you said... Trying to defuse the incoming aggression, I smiled and apologized for not being there at six-sharp. There was another woman there who stated she was free and available to cut my hair. Now, before I get into the "haircut", I must say the whole time I am getting the death stare from the woman I made the appointment with and another male barber. Frankly, the male barber seemed to want me to say something so he could either ask me to leave (which I would have) or fight (also, which I would have) . Not cool by any means, I was just looking for a cut. The attempt at intimidation was not necessary and definitely was not working. As for the cut, this person thrashed my hair... As she continued to talk shit about having "white people" hair? Nice... I sat through it, gave a $10 tip and never returned again. I noticed the owner the first time I was there and he seemed like a solid guy. Can't say I have any reason to return, but would be down to get a cut from him at his other location. read more

This place is cool. I alternate between Victor and Lee who are both super dope. They give great cuts and great convos. I love that they take online appointments and anytime Victor is late(which is rare) he apologizes which I appreciate. I even took my mom to Victor to cut almost of her hair off and she's been dying to go back but their schedules don't match up. He gave her a super modern cut which she loves. What makes them extra special is after cutting your hair they put a hot towel on your Face before using the razor to shape you up. The only negative is the owner is a prick who has seen me there several times and has only said hello to me once when my girlfriend was present. Luckily, he's not there all of the time. She made me feel comfortable and exude a confidence that "she got me". She and all the other barbers here bring a super chill vibe. Definitely a reflection of the owner and commander in chief, Rich. jenny is the best! i went this place because i had a cheap haircut(i used to have medium long hair) and really mess up my hair i went this place walk in for a fix and jenny did fantastic job on my hair she gave me a skin fade which cut my hair short although the styling wasn't so great(my fault cause of my thin hair) but i end it with good result when i went back home and style it myself. shes like the angel that will save your day! if not at least it saved mine. the shop has a really cool vibe that i like, skill wise was no doubt. read more

I was very impressed with the quality of the haircut for the price as i'm accustomed to pay upwards of $150 for a similar haircut from a barber in Chelsea. Though fair to me, $35 out prices the other barbershops that litter the neighborhood and may seem like a stretch for others; there is no comp to the quality in these other shops. Victor is beyond a skilled barber and my cut exceeded my expectations. He was attentive, thorough and asked clarifying questions before starting a different phase of the cut. I got a cut from the shop owner, Rich; as well as Victor. Both were extremely professional barbers with a lot of skill. I got nearly identical cuts from both, and was happy with both results. The space is small, but well appointed and had a cool vibe. Glad I found a shop close to me with multiple barbers I trust to keep me looking clean. Price wise it was comparable, if not a little cheaper than similar upscale shops in Williamsburg. I usually don't leave feedback for businesses that have given me horrible service, but this struck me differently. Originally I saw this barber featured on YouTube, and thought I wanted the look I see in all the pictures. I have very tall hair, and have been growing it for a while just to create the shape. So when I sat in the barbers chair I explained that I wanted to "keep the shape and not cut anything off that is already grown (as far as pretty long)" "Yeah I got you" she affirmed me she does this cut style often and including now a days that the style cut is in. After the cut was done I paid and left. When I got home I looked in the mirror playing with my hair and not just strands BUT a good chunk of hair falls out! She brought the machine up to close, so I called back and asked to speak to the manager. They put what I could assume was the manager and now know to be the owner on and I tell him I'm dissatisfied with the cut because she took off the hair I have been growing this whole time. He says "I don't get what you're saying" "she didn't fade it properly and when I got home a huge chunk of hair came off because she brought the machine up to close" I said. "What? Are you trying to say my barbers can't cut hair, I trained them myself, we cut celebrities hair!" He snapped back "so what do you want me to do because as a small business owner we aren't allowed for refunds so I can give you a free cut" he added. "Honestly, you expect me to want to go back to a place that cut off hair, so you can do it again in a later time?" I said "well then I'm telling you I can't glue hair back, and you probably explained it wrong because we cut celebrities hair, my guys (girls) are top notch barbers" he claimed. "Well I guess because I'm not a celebrity I walk out the shop looking like this" I hung up. Pissed that I have to grow my hair out again. Silver lining; its hat season so I can regrow in style.
