DELICIOUS! I actually heard about this place from a Reddit post about places to stop on a road trip…read moreacross Texas and I'm so glad I listened! It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! We also snagged some items to take home with us from their coolers and I can 100% recommend their pork tamales and summer sausage. If you get the chance to stop here, you won't regret it at all! Delicious, great service, and good portions!

Years ago, the Texas Bucket List TV show is what brought me to Mae's Meat Market. After all these…read moreyears, we are still coming here because the food is so good. We have tried several different burgers, the chicken fried steak, and the tacos. All have been just wonderful. Tonight, I had the steak fingers with grilled vegetables and steamed broccoli. The steak fingers were absolutely huge, and the grilled vegetables and steamed broccoli were just fantastic. Nothing is better than a steak finger dipped in a big old bowl of white homemade gravy! I was only able to eat half, so there was definitely leftovers. And since I was so full, that means dessert had to be to go. Most places now charge seven or eight dollars for a piece of cake. Here, you can still get a piece of cake for four dollars! Heck of a deal! If you're ever in Eastland Texas, I definitely recommend you give this place a try.

I'm not sure why you would review a convenience store , but here I am. Casey's is new to Abilene…read more Three brand new stores have all opened up in the past month. I had not been there, but I heard they had really good pizza. And cheap! Good pizza at a convenience store I asked? The supreme pizza and the bacon cheeseburger pizza are both priced at $18 for a large. I don't consider that cheap. But, for memorial day weekend, pizzas are 25% off. Now it's $13.50 for a large. Ok, I'll bite. I get my pizzas home, and OMG, they are DELICIOUS! Definitely better than Dominos and Little Caesars! The bacon cheeseburger pizza has pickles on it. Pickles on a pizza? Surprise, it's delicious. It really works! No, it's not as good as Joes Italian, or Dante's, but it's definitely cheaper if you catch the sales. Yes, you have to join their club, but it's worth it. You earn points to use on food or gas. A good deal!

The Wagyu and Angus selections are top tier. Ribeye's, New York strips, chuck roasts, hamburgers, everything is fresh cut, and they'll cut it exactly how you want it. One-inch, two-inch, steaks, roasts, kabobs. What really sets Railhead Market apart is the people. Carrie and Ashey are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy you are there. We talked about different recipes and what cut of meat was best for each. I didnt feel rushed, even though I had lots of questions. They also run great specials, and it's obvious they're building a community, not just ringing up tickets, my visit felt personal. If you're in or around Baird, TX, this is a must-stop. Once you shop here, it's hard to go back to grocery store meat. Highly recommend.

Saw it many times on the way to Dallas for a show we did in Richardson Twice a year. So when I got my car I was thrilled to stop there, made acquaintance with Sally and her crew, got a ham and cheese sandwich which was rather tasty, some candy and other things. Everything my family and I have tried and purchased over the years have been good and have become family favorites. And one of the best things is ordering online and getting it within one day.
