This place was packed. The parking lot was buzzing and the spots were all full. The store had a large selection of items- as one would expect from a truck stop. The restroom is showing its age. But the dispensers were all stocked. And the floor was dry. I do prefer to hit the rest area in EastLand but I was having an emergency. So compared to the EastLand area not as good- But I'll still choose it over ANY Loves on the planet.

Coordinating with my coworker who was driving in from Plainview for pickup we literally texted each other with a two minute difference in arrival time. The Crossing was the first gas station / convenience store I saw in town. Pulled in and once the exchange was done we ventured in for a potty break and drinks. First time seeing a salad bar in this type of business. And, it actually looked appealing! We've all traveled major roads in whatever state you're from. Yes, I've snickered at gas station sushi in Mississippi. There are things you DON'T want in this setting. Yet, The Crossing made it look seamless. Clean bathrooms at least on the mens side. Usual suspects like Hunt Brothers pizza present and a glass case full of fried goodness too. I think they do burgers too? We grabbed drinks not big enough for a million stops to return and went our separate ways. Ten employees working but nobody was super friendly.

An honest mistake that could have happened to anyone. He started to drive away without realizing, and she came out to beat on his window to let him know. This is completely understandable. However, when he pulled his car around back into the parking lot, and was obviously willing to cover any damage he might have caused (his wallet was actually out), she continued to berate him and accuse him of intentionally ruining her gas pump and trying to "run away" and then proceeded to ask me "what his problem is." Long story short, she never apologized for treating us like criminals when we admitted it was our mistake, apologized, and were only trying to make it right. Her attitude was ridiculous and beyond unwarranted. I won't be stopping here again, and if you want to be treated like a human being with any dignity you shouldn't either.
