    Pancit and pork adobe
    Dominique D.

Customer service was trash. I requested a 2 entree plate they gave me 1 and then when I went back to adjust it I was told that I didn't say that. Normally I don't do this but the aggressive manner of this was uncalled for. They tried to charge me $12 dollars for gulay, a small order at that. When I originally spoke w the father he then put his son on the phone. Crazy thing is I've been going there and spending money never had a problem until today! And I will not continue spending money there. Stay blessed.

I was very excited to find a Filipino spot as I was passing through Modesto for work. Unfortunately, my siomai was burnt. Still would like to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Sorry I forgot to take a before pic but it was that good !

I came in hungry craving Filipino food. I googled Filipino restaurant near me and Filipino corner came up. Thought I'd give it a try and I went for my favorites pork dinuguan and chicken adobo. Both were delicious! They had an amazing garlic rice and pancit was very flavorful as well. I'll definitely be back ! Restaurant is super clean and the service was perfect! 10/10

    Halo halo
    Veronica D.

I have been craving halo halo for months now so I was sappy to find this place while visiting Modesto. Although the halo halo was good, it was missing some of the main authentic ingredients such as the beans. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean. I was satisfied but I won't be retuning for halo halo.

First time in... Won't be the last! This place is old world good, reminding me of time I spent in the Philippines... Out of the thousands of islands... this one is the best! Lol

    Lumpia

Really nice family owned business. The daughter helped me pick out a few items. They are located across from the Walmart parking lot. We stopped by about 30 minutes before closing. The lumpia were much larger than I expected and were more similar to egg rolls. I prefer the smaller traditional lumpia. The pancit was a little on the plain side and wasn't too oily. I didn't get to try the pork adobo because they ran out. The beef had the most flavor out of the 3 items, but was a bit chewy.

This is our first time here but the food was amazing. The beef side was full of flavor. Literally melts in ur mouth. The lumpia was so good nice and crunchy with good flavor. The noodles were delicious too. We will definitely be back. Thank you for serving great food

    Chicken Adobo

It's been a little while I've been eyeing this place but I had a chance to finally try it. I order the lumpia's and the pork adobo. To be honest, I was taken by surprise when I saw the limpias. They looked like egg rolls. Even tasted like them. Or maybe they were? Maybe there was a confusion on my order but I could have sworn I ordered lumpias. Anyways, the pork adobo was really good. It had a nice broth taste to it but surprisingly, the rice was extra good. I would say it was the star of the show. The rice was fluffy, warm, and nicely accompanied with the adobo. I did get some fatty pieces of the pork but without it, it wouldn't give the adobo flavor. Overall, it was pretty good and they seem to have a lot more traditional Filipino dishes.

This the the BEST BRUNCH in Modesto!…read more I love the Happy Cakes, we got them today as an appetizer to share. They're so addictive. I was STUNNED by how good the Mario's eggs Benedict was. Sauteed mushrooms, topped with mushroom risotto, poached eggs, and hollandaise. I'm a sucker for risotto and theirs was AMAZING and went together perfectly with the hollandaise. My companion got the chicken fried steak. We've never had chicken fried steak that good in California, it was crispy and perfectly seasoned and not too salty. We also added the biscuit, and it was perfect: warm, crispy outside and tender inside. Another table got the griddle plate that looked like french toast with toasted coconut (I can't remember the name) but it was beautiful and smelled incredible and I have to order that next. We've also been here for lunch and dinner. There's so much we haven't ordered yet, but we recommend the Hangry Reuben sandwich, and all the salads. If you get a cocktail, please please try the Purple Pain! I cannot explain how good it is. I would love to order a pitcher of it to share with a group of friends, to make them all try it.

This is a wonderful spot. The set up inside simple and classic. Very roomy with comfortable chairs…read moreand a nice vibe. The bar set up is clean and they have fair prices. The service is top notch, service with a smile and knowledge of the food a plus. However, in my opinion, the food needs a bit of work. The sticky chicken had a nice surface taste but the meat had very little flavor. The Lumpia was a non traditional sized one but tasty. The Honey Love sandwich was very sloppy and greasy, it was over saturated by the grease from the cheese and honey. I was unable to eat most of it. We will try again in the near future. PS. They offer Military discounts. They also gave me a taste of the Clam Chowder. It was very nice and tasty.

It's so hard to find lumpia's around here so when I saw the truck I had to stop to check them out…read more. We got one order to try them out , an Horchata coffee and one other drink. The lumpia's are way over priced at $7.50 for 5 lumpia the size of small woman's pointer finger . Size is pretty standard across lumpia's but I have seen longer ones . Are they delicious nope, but they are good . Buy the five because the prices for single lumpia is crazier. . The horchata coffee - now that was delicious. This one has to be the best I have had so far ! Service was fine ‍, girl taking order was a bit lost about the drinks on the menu but she got it and was polite .

Located on the parking lot of Hobby Lobby on McHenry Ave…read more I heard about this place from my wife who ordered here a few weeks ago. I came here during lunchtime on a Thursday. I ordered pancit plate (included 2 pork lumpia) and 2 bacon wrapped lumpia and another order of 5 pork Shanghai lumpia. Everything is made to order so there's a good 5-10 minute wait. If there's a line of people waiting, make sure you're not in a rush since the owner, Charles is the only one there on the weekdays. Pancit (Filipino clear noodle) was great. There's 2 lemon wedges that you have to squeeze on top of the pancit to get the most flavor out of the noodles. Ingredients consist of vegetables (carrots, cabbage and green onions) and fish cake and Chinese sausage. Delicious and light. One order of pancit can be finished just by me. I ordered one for my wife since she also loves pancit. The lumpia was also delicious and they won a food festival award for their lumpia so you know it's good. Definitely a place you need to try and can see the black colored food truck on McHenry Ave. I asked when they are here and it's Tuesday to Friday 12-6 pm at the Hobby Lobby location. On the weekends, I think Saturday, they can be found on the Turlock Farmers Market. 5 stars
