I'll tell you that I can't understand the negative reviews for this gem of a restaurant. It's my go to place when I want a delicious breakfast burrito. Bigger than a hog like me should eat, and honestly I usually take a third of it home. The salsa bar, complete with Serrano peppers toreado style, along with cucumber and lemon slices, as well as the pickled jalapeño, carrot and onion mix and four or five different salsas. I usually order a carne asada burrito for lunch or dinner. The service is always prompt, professional and friendly. I don't drink sodas, but I'm always offered a cup for free ice water. I've never had a bad experience after many regular visits. read more

I've been going to Filiberto's for years - I love their breakfast burritos! but this morning I went through the drive through at the one across from Park Mall today, Sept 22 around 10am, and ordered a Ham, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. the gal said "Pico?" so I asked do you mean do I want pico de gallo with it? then she yelled PICO! I told her I'll talk to her at the window. when I get there i ask her what she means by pico so she yellow really loud at me "P I C O ! !" - like i was hard of hearing. by this time her rudeness was too much so I drove away and ordered a breakfast burrito at Nico's across the street. I love this restaurant! I eat there at least once a week and have done so for a year and a half. The food is consistently wonderful and portions are generous. It is impeccably clean. The middle-aged woman with bangs working the front counter was very rude and unprofessional during my visit. We have come here many times as we are fans of their burritos. Our last couple of visits have been a struggle on the service delivery side. Not sure if they are short staffed or what. This last visit was a dine in, and the lady at the counter taking the orders looked and acted like she would rather be anywhere else but there. Friendly... NOT. The dining room area needed a good clean up, despite the lady behind the counter just standing there waiting for something to happen. We waited 25 minutes for our food and it was not too busy, drive through was so-so but there was only one gentleman cooking in the kitchen. Just revisted after seeing "New Management " sign on building. I ordered their carne asada and pollo asada tacos & they were HUGE! I could not even finish one! Had a taste of each and meats were flavorful. Rice and beans are good. Salsas tasted good, too! Service was still friendly. We sat inside and the small restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. They serve aguas frescas, too! Hubby ordered their taquitos and those looked good, but I didn't taste them. It looks like this location is better than before and I'll be returning to try a few other items and if those are equally as good, I'll be updating this review again to hopefully a 4-star! Two incidents. I was sort of a regular here until now. Never an issue with the food, always an issue with the customer service. There are currently two ladies who regularly handle customer service, one always has her kid in the back running around playing with stuff in the back, and the other is taller with hair dyed to have blonde highlights. Incident 1: Lady with the kid running around finishes taking my order and immediately walks away, doesn't ask me if I want a receipt, she literally just walked away. So I took the receipt from the machine. The taller lady notices and, through the earpiece, tells the lady with the kid. The lady with the kid comes over to me at the sauce bar and gives me my receipt, saying that the other one was hers in a rude tone. I give it to her, and she walks away before I even have the chance to say that she should've asked me if I wanted my receipt before walking away, if that was an issue. This has happened to me before, where customers just yoink their receipt, and I literally never had an issue with it because I forgot to ask. At the end of the day Id just reprint the receipt, which they ended up doing anyway. I've never worked anywhere where merchant receipts were gatekept like that. The exchange was unnecessary, and wouldn't have happened if she had given me the time of day to ask if I wanted my receipt, or you know, just given it to me. Incident 2: Orders are placed through doordash we got 3 items total: 2 orders of cowboy fries, 1 order of a carne asada burrito. This is relevant because while at the sauce bar, I filled up 5 sauces, and my boyfriend was filling a 6th. The taller lady then says to me its 2 sauces per item and I was getting too much before he had even finished filling the 6th. There's no sign saying 2 sauces per item, and anytime you ask for extra in the drive-thru its not an issue other than a little indignant attitude. We've done this before, and it's literally never been an issue until today. I have a feeling she was being more watchful of us this time because of the last time we had come in. Like she was looking for issues. As I was trying to explain to her we got 3 items total and have 6 sauces, she dismissively said "It's okay," and walked away before I finished speaking, as if she was letting us slide this time?? Either that or she realized her mistake and didn't want to admit it. She left the poor dude she was obviously training standing there to suffer through me finishing explaining I had 3 items and 6 sauces with my annoyance at her policing of sauces. After I finished explaining, I walked out, saying I always have issues with this place. And honestly, it's never the food. I'd rather go to Fitos and get a cold burrito than deal with this customer service again. I've worked in fast food before, and I know the drill. I literally never complain about anything directly to staff anywhere because I know how it can be, but she was just nitpicking at that point. Never have I ever experienced such shitty fast food customer service anywhere else. Not even at any McDonald's in South Tucson. Its never that deep its sauce. An "I'm sorry, my mistake." Would've prevented this review. Because yes, both times were their mistake. Accountability goes a long way, and they lack it. Its a tense vibe in there. If she's really the manager, like the other reviews say, I truly feel bad for the staff under her watch. read more

Number 20, no beans, it's not a hard order (taco and enchilada with beans and rice). It really isn't. But once they asked "what drink" (it comes with one), and once they didn't. And once they got confused by "no beans" at the window, and the next time they told me to come to the window but didn't show up themselves for long enough that I drove away. The food is good, but I can't recommend the place. It's not that hard to take and fulfill an order. it really isn't. But they make it seem like it is. Service is terrible. They do not consider you a customer if you only order a drink, pick up deliveries for services like Uber Eats or Door Dash. Heaven forbid you need to use the restroom and you are "not a customer" in their opinion. They are quite rude if you ask them. And you have to ask because they keep the key in their pocket. Don't get me started on how long they take to fulfill an order if its Door Dash or Uber. 15-20 mins is ridiculous in my opinion. If other restaurants can have orders ready in 5 or quicker, picking up from Filiberto's is not worth your time as a driver. You could pick up and probably have an order from somewhere else in the time it takes them to acknowledge the order, make it, package, and hand it to you. Go to Papa Locos on Rita Road! I have been to this Filbertos twice and each time they delivered. I got the #11 Green Chile meal. The beans were perfectly flavored. The meat was excellent and the green Chile sauce was flavorful. Rice was excellent. There was a lot of food, enough for lunch and dinner. Yes the drive through was slow but meh... I had time to reflect on the the face of the complete idiot 2 cars behind me that apparently thinks I'm holding up the orders. Great food and entertainment. I'll be back. read more

I paid 32 bucks for three burritos the size of a Taco Bell entree; a bean and cheese burrito, a bacon breakfast burrito that had a cross-section of half-tortilla and half actual burrito ingredients, and a steak breakfast burrito that came with a sharp little white plastic triangle inside! I can't decide wether to call our drive-thru wait of 30 minutes the icing on the cake, or the fact that they only gave us 3 little red salsa cups when I asked for some. If I'm paying over 10 bucks per burrito, I'm sure they can afford to at least throw 2-3 salsas per burrito in the bag. I have been here 4 or 5 times over the past two years now and this is a typical experience. I have only returned on hopes that the restaurant has improved because it has amazing potential with location and the hours it USED to offer. Now it's only open 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM as opposed to almost any hour of the day or night last year. First time visiting as they just opened. Not your typical Mexican fast food drive through. They have a very extensive menu with prices ranging from $1.49 for the daily specials to $15+. Today I had one of there machaca breakfast burritos. Very quad Ana large. $7.93 plus tax. I will have to hack for a lunch time. Be prepared to wait as everything is made as you order, it takes time. Got a bacon breakfast burrito and the eggs were overcooked and the tortilla was chewy and tough, didn't seem fresh at all.

I have been here a couple times now. I went to the drive thru the first time and left when the line didn't move. The next couple times I went, I wasn't impressed by the food at all for the price. I gave this place another try, like I do with many places. Last night I went through the drive thru about 1/2 hour before closing. I could see several guys standing around inside. When I approached the menu to order, I was told the grill was off for the night and all I could order were items with fries. The voice of the employee telling me this info was very callous and belittling. I took my business elsewhere. I don't recommend this place. read more

The salsa bar is all set and stocked with many items, whereas before they only had the bare minimum. The food is tasty and portions very generous. Shell medium to dark brown and meat so fried it disintegrated in your mouth. 2nd order: pollo quesadilla supreme. Got instead a pollo asada quesadilla even after having to repeat our order several times at speaker and upon confirming the order at the window when they took my debit card.
