I recently purchased a new townhouse and wanted a new color in every room. I had interviewed three painters before making my decision to go with Tom and Blue Door. I asked Tom why he felt Blue Door stood out from other painters. He said most of his team has been worked together since high school, which provided a consistent, efficient and seamless approach. He also underscored their attention to fine lines and details. The finished product reflects exactly that. The place looks great, done right the first time and the lines are spectacularly clean (as was the house at the end of the job.) There were many settling cracks and blemishes that I was worried could not be covered up. The job was completed while I was on vacation, which was likely beneficial to both me and Blue Door. I found Tom and Crystal, Tom's wife and operations leader, to be quick in responding to any questions I had at any time of day. Jasmin, the color consultant was also a nice, free touch. I changed my mind on several colors/tones based on her visit to my home. Blue Door was even able to meet a last minute change in requested colors. The place looks beautiful; the job was completed on time and as estimated; and, they were great to work with. What more can you ask? I highly recommend Blue Door, if you want read more

Tom and his team have done several painting projects for my family: They did an amazing job painting my condo in West Town which was approx 1,600 sq ft with complex picture frame molding in the main great room area. It looked fantastic, was completed in less than 1 week, and was a very fair price. I think his paint job helped us get top dollar when we sold our condo in the city and moved to the western burbs. We have since referred Tom to many of our friends and hired him to do another project in our current house which was also done quickly and looks fantastic. It's hard to find good reliable contractors in Chicago at a fair price. Tom and his Blue Door team are some of the few. read more

THE BEST PAINTING COMPANY - Tom and his team provided outstanding work at a fair price!!! Many friends say the kitchen cabinets look like they are new cabinets. (I had Tom spray the Cabinets - as opposed to using a brush and/ or roller for the paint application) They also touched up some plaster and painting in other areas. The result is a seamless look. Tom is efficient, professional, personable and on time. I plan to hire him to handle any future painting needs. read more
