hands down best restaurant I have been to so far. speaking of different and exotic experience. The building is early 1900s and it takes you to Torremolinos in Spain.. the interior and the seating indoors and outdoors are both on point. very cozy atmosphere. the owners are the sweetest and they are great couple. I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. The rest of the staff are very close to each other and to the owners. they give a family vibe which just made me happy to observe . . very cozy, warm, relaxing and safe vibrant place to be at. where ever you live, it is a must to visit. Drinks... boy do I like dem drinks. I got espresso martini. Four of them. whatever I have in mind they make it happen and those drinks measure up beyond what I have expected. . Food wise..... I had five plates the first time I went there . I enjoyed every and each bite of them. I felt great afterwards and the following day. it's all done with amazing fresh and healthy ingredients. I live in Hollywood and first time I went it was two months ago after boating from Huntington Beach. I made the trip.. It was a great decision and Definitely it was not my only time. I try to go there whenever I am able to and it is worth the drive for me. read more

This review is long overdue. Months ago I had friends in town from LA and took them to almost every restaurant in town. We ended up one night late at FIG313, the kitchen was about to close. We were lucky that they let us still order. Our server named Andrew was extremely professional, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He suggested what we should order and we did not regret his recommendations. We loved two of the dishes so much that we wanted to reorder. The kitchen went above and beyond and made us the two dishes after they officially were done for the night. Last week we went back and we had the same waiter. In our opinion Andrew is one of the best waiters in town. He immediately recognized us and even remembered what we ordered last time. Visit this place, it will not disappoint. The service, cocktails and food is great. Our favorite dishes are the calamari and the goat cheese fondue. We will be back soon! read more

We've been twice and cannot believe we didn't discover this gem sooner! It is the BEST restaurant in San Clemente. It's on the higher-end but not fancy -- perfect for a date night, special occasion or nice dinner out. Everything is a perfect 10: - The food is divine: the calamari, steaks and lobster have been our faves; don't pass up on the chocolate cake dessert - The Staff is great: we had Andrew and Chris, both top-nothc - The Ambiance: our favorite spot is sitting outdoors amidst palm trees, starry night sky and fire pit read more

Happened to be in San Clemente on business. I had a little down time, so I decided to take a walk and see if I could find some good eats. I had no idea where to begin since I'm not from around here. Luckey, I happened to stumble across this place! What really caught my attention was the patio area. I decided to give it shot and I was not let down. The place is very welcoming and staff is very pleasant. I hope I don't butcher this but Riston? I believe was my server. He lead me in the right direction. Food was excellent, everything was fresh! Overall a more than excellent experience on a gamble! I definitely will be stopping by again, if I am ever in the area. I also! highly suggest people stopping in to give it shot local or not!!!!!!! read more

Best restaurant in beautiful San Clemente! My husband and I loved it so much we went there twice during our two week stay.

Chris is one heck of a waiter, he is funny, speaks multiple languages and gives you an unforgettable experience. The drink selections are pretty good and the surf and turf is sure to start a party in your mouth. read more

Just had dinner for my birthday. Great menu with lots of choices. Food was terrific. Great salads and appetizers. Prices are a bit high but the quality is well worth it. The service was excellent and the waiter very pleasant. Only draw back ( and this is why the 4* rating) was the bus boys were lax and did not clean dishes from the table, did not offer refills on my ice tea And we were not asked to have coffee with our dessert However because the food was so good , we will definitely be back. read more

Everything I had was so good! The salmon was very tasty and cooked well, the mussels were super good with the chorizo and the mission fig mule and empress cocktail were made just right. Would recommend ! read more

The food was so so. They were out of a lot of the options and my beets were raw. We waited for almost an hour for the check.

We love coming here for special occasions. It is pricey, so plan accordingly. The drinks are fresh and the food is delicious. The lamb, seafood melange and steak are to die for. read more

Delicious, local and fun. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the steak, greens and the scotch eggs were out of this world.

Super cool spot. Outside seating is beautiful. The style of the restaurant in general has a really cool rustic vibe and really nice. My friend and I sat outside near the fire pit, we had the lobster ravioli which was soooo good, the beat salat which was also amazing and my personal favorite the 313 burger(get the fried egg on it !). I forgot our servers name. Super nice guy, he was very attentive but not smothering or anything at all. Thanks man for making our experience so great! Would give this place more than 5 stars if I could, for service, food and ambiance. Perfect read more

My 52 dollar fillet was overcooked and 15 dollar cocktail was sour place sucks a lot fancy advertising and not much at the table

Was there Friday night with friends. Ordered the Salmon and it was very bland. Table mate ordered the $40 halibut and it came out cold and undercooked. When it came back after the rest of us had finished the quality of the fish was very poor. I looked it up and there is a quality issue with Pacific Halibut that makes it mushy tasting and caulky looking. Finally we were still billed for the fish and had to ask for it to be taken it off the check. Cook and owner had decided an extra crème boulle was enough to compensate for the poor food quality? read more

Had a large group here for dinner to celebrate an engagement. The service, food and staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone's meal was fantastic, and the staff was so warm and attentive to our party. We definitely will be back. We can't recommend this restaurant enough! read more

Fig 313 is a one of a kind experience. The food was absolutely fantastic. We started with the brussels it was a perfect balance between sweet and savory. The balance of figs thick cuts of bacon was a perfect balance. The dinner rolls were fluffy and warm. Our main course of the filet and pork chop was absolutely perfect! On top of it they made my girlfriends birthday truly special. This is a must if you're looking for a top notch meal! Thank you!!! read more

Food is good but prices are very high. Large portions. The bread charges are ridiculous. $10 for bread??

Please Please Please, you must try out the surf & turf... this place is known for there steak and Lobster(oh my god) and let me tell you that that was a meal I want on my last day on earth!!!!!!! Chris the server is the only reason I tried it and I love him for being so friendly and knowledgeable about all the food and drinks. Go see him if you stop in and give this gem a try. We went to fig for Valentine's Day. The food is so good! I ordered the steak which was cooked perfectly. We also ordered a bottle of red wine that was also very good and didn't give me a headache like a lot of wines do. The service was excellent. We forgot our hat but no problem they kept it safe until we picked it up the next day. read more

This restaurant always takes all the necessary Health precautions. More importantly, the food and wine is amazing. Constantly changing menu and they get their ingredients from local businesses and farms. All that being said, we really go here due to the service. We always ask to sit in Chris' section and for good reason. Not only is he super attentive and helpful, he's just a great time overall. He really adds to the experience and brings the wow factor. read more

Sunday brunch at Fig 313...delicious! Love the outside patio & the fabulous service. I ordered the eggs Benedict, cooked to perfection. Tasty hollandaise sauce & soft runny eggs. Calvin ordered the chicken & waffles. The fried chicken was crunchy on the outside & juicy on the inside, seasoned perfectly! I stole a couple bites & will definitely order it next time. The only thing I would like to see added to the menu is a cashew milk latte (my secret addiction), but we made do with the Bloody Marys which were also delicious! read more

Here's my attempt at a very honest review. The food is not worth the money. Everything is alleged fresh, organic and selected everyday but if the waiter didn't tell me that I would not have known the difference. Our waiter was super nice but I felt like he was trying to convince us that everything was tasty and high quality. Great atmosphere, but nothing about the food just jumps out at you. Presentation is nice but again the flavor didn't justify the prices in my opinion. read more

Truly one of the most poor service experiences to date at this resturant. We came here last night my mom ordered the halibut which upon arrival half was cold and uncooked, understandable chefs are busy and make mistakes but we did request to send it back and get a cooked one. We felt awful for the waiter who seemed to have to get permission to send the food back the so he brought the owner over who was fine and saw the issue and sent the foot back. THEN, they brought out a second halibut and it was absolute mush and unfortunately she could not eat it. My mom is pretty much is a pescatarian and eats fish everyday and I can probably count on one hand the number of times she's sent back a meal (just to give some on perspective how in-edible it was.) After two times of sending her food back they didn't offer for her order anything else so she didn't eat dinner with no apology or remedy from the staff, odd right. But that's not even the worst part....Finally, he asks if we want to order dessert and we ordered the flourless chocolate cake. To try and remedy the earlier situation they brought a crème brûlée out complementary. Which was very nice right?! Until we got the bill...they charged us for the Fish?!? And we assumed it was an honest mistake to which we asked the waiter and he said "our conclusion was the fish was fine so therefor we charged you since we brought you an extra dessert" a dessert in which we did not ask for or order and fish that no one ate?!? It's been a long time if ever we've had this bad of a customer service experience and cannot believe this manager has a job it's beyond and needless to say we will never be returning. read more

The cuisine was outstanding. I ate the most delicious truffle chicken meal ever. As the name suggests, figs are used in many of the menu items. I gorged myself on the fig old fashion that I had ordered.Great service was provided. The setting was warm and adorable. Excellent location for a date. read more

Saturday 7pm Good food & service. No wait - table was ready when we arrived. Restaurant does not have a designated parking lot so leave early- parking on Camino Real can be stressful. Inside seating is very loud - wish we sat on the patio. Drinks delivered to the table after the appetizers arrived. Bartender very busy. Burger was good, but under cooked. Ordered "medium", arrived "rare". Waiter should have suggest medium-well read more

I still think about their brussel sprout appetizer.... Yummy.

Great food and ambiance. This restaurant is bit hidden so when you drive on Camino Real you may miss it. But do make an effort and visit. This is the best restaurant in town. Great food, service and ambiance. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. House made brioche with fig butter is a must have and it's only $10. We had 2 orders as we couldn't stop. Cocktails are good and generous portions. My wife is vegan, our server guided us through the menu and chef did accommodate her restrictions. We were very lucky and happy to find this place. Decor is elegant, garden is lushly green. The real garden dining experience not a parking lot tend or sidewalk car smog inhaling section. Way to go ! Highly recommend ! read more

The best restaurant in San Clemente...Hands down!! We love it even more every time we go there read more

A friend and I went a few nights ago for dinner. I was excited to try this place for the first time. We started with a few "crafted cocktails". Both drinks unfortunately were very weak and had too much juice for it to be a "crafted cocktail." So we switched to wine. My wine came out right away but my friend had to ask twice for her glass of wine before it arrived. There were only 2 of us so not sure why they split the drink delivery. Appetizer was good so we moved onto dinner. I ordered a steak salad at the advice of the server since I need to eat Gluten Free. Salad arrived with croutons. Uh... not gluten free. I didn't make a fuss and just picked them out... but then my friend's lobster ravioli arrived and it was cold. That we sent back. The owner came out and in an argumentative way explained to us that he knows this business since he's owned other restaurants and we felt he was shaming us for sending it back. Finally, I asked if he tasted it (he had) and if he would of been happy with the temperature. He finally admitted he would of liked it to be a little warmer. So why didn't he just start there? They kindly sent out a free desert... fried donuts (which I can't eat since I'm gluten free). Still a nice gesture, but personally, we would of preferred a better attitude from the owner. Overall, service was not great, slow to table and servers not knowledgeable of the menu. Food and drinks need improvement, but overall restaurant concept has potential. I know they are new and really hope they work out the kinks. The place has a great vibe and if they make improvements in service, food, and customer relations; it could be a good place. read more

This restaurant is simply amazing. Before the pandemic, my husband and I ate here at least twice a month. San Clemente is our home and we love having such a quaint, special restaurant like Fig@313 in our neighborhood. The food is unique and delicious. I just ordered the roasted duck Christmas Eve package and without even trying it first, I know it will be marvelous. Let's keep supporting this business! read more

Fig 313 was dynamite! The goat cheese fondue was so good I could just scoop it with a spoon and eat it! The staff is very attentive and so nice! Drinks are awesome too! The short ribs melted in your mouth and the chicken was the best I've ever had. An added bonus they have a pastry chef that crushes the creame brûlée! It's a very cute intimate setting inside. I went on a date night here with my husband, we wanted a place that we'd never go to with kids. This hit the mark! I'd go back any day! read more

My fiancé and I visited Fig 313 for dinner tonight. We wanted to try somewhere new and enjoyed our door side table. The booth was extremely comfortable! We chose to sit indoors - to enjoy the warmth, although the fire pit and ambiance of the outdoor patio looked delightful. We had a wonderful waiter as well. He had just the right balance of efficiency and politeness. Him an the other staff members made sure we had everything we needed. In addition to the wonderful environment, the menu... the cocktail list is extensive, the flavors delectable and Fig 313 is most certainly the New Best Restaurant in San Clemente! We look forward to our next visit there! Cheers! read more

Fig 313 - Smoked salmon crostino - New American Near Me - San Clemente, California

First time to the Fig 313. Friends have been raving about it. They have a beautiful outdoor patio and they were doing everything right in keeping with a very safe environment. We had Calamari for appetizer and it was dressed a little too liberally with red pepper. Wasn't prepared for that and burned the back of my throat. Our friends split a beet salad. It was visually stunning. Chef did a beautiful job with presentation and it was large enough to share. I had salmon and it was excellent. Cooked just right and paired with vegetables that were excellent. I highly recommend the salmon. The sea bass my friend got was equally excellent. Another friend had the Lobster Ravioli and it was swimming way too heavy in butter. He rated it 5/10. My husband had the filet. The beef was beautifully presented and excellent flavor. It needed something better than a tomato and a small swirl of potato to balance the plate. That part was minimal and weak. Overall the restaurant has outstanding qualities and is really a beautiful place for fine San Clemente dining. I do however think they can do a bit better. read more
