What a positive experience I had at Pinoy! The staff are so nice and helpful. There's so many…read moreyummies I had to try. This isn't a full sized resto so don't come here in groups of 10+. At best they can accommodate maybe 1 group. If you do come here in a groups of 4 to 8, you'll be perfectly fine. I tasted my first sisig and it was glorious. It was sizzling upon presentation taunting me to be eaten but to be careful.... or I'd get burned. Time are hard. I devoured this culinary delight before it fully cooled down. I've been craving to have another plate since my visit! We tried other plates as well, they were all tasty but failed to compare to the sisig! Lovely traditional plates. I also went with their mango bubble tea and quite frankly it was the best bubble tea I've ever had! I could have an amazing plate of sisig and a large bubble tea for under $15. This is insanely good. What a deal. What a great dining experience. I'm totally going to be back. Sisig, I'll be back. My love. My precious. My Sisig.

Food taste is fair. Expected a more filipino tasting experience. We ordered pancit and we were able…read moreto consume it at the car and to our surprise, the cabbage tasted plastic! So we let it cool down and tried to heat it up and to our frustration, it tasted even worse and now plastic to rubber. It us now think if we really did eat real food. They have a combo meal where you get 2 dish, rice and a drink for 12$. No parking space. Tight table spacing

Went as a group for a friend's birthday and... we all ate too much…read more I've been here once last summer, with two other friends, and it was good then too but wasn't as good as this time. For those of you still on the fence, it is promising that this place is improving. This place is perfect to try if you've never had Filipino food before, some of the dishes are less traditional, some are more fusion. I appreciate the filipino accents in all the dishes. I wish there was a couple of dishes that include Bagoong (fermented shrimp paste) in a featured way and not watered down... Overall the menu will have something for everyone, fish, chicken, beef and pork all represented. On to the food: Ocotpus Kilawen: octopus is fresh, vinaigrette is tangay and lightly sweet, cherry tomatoes round out the dish, simple and satisfying. 8/10 Chicken Wings: coated with sticky sauce maybe honey? it's sweet and spicy, i think there's bit of fish sauce in there to balance it out, it's a nice touch. 8/10 Creamy Udon: creamy not too salty, a little spicy, nice dish. 8/10 Adobo beef short rib: comes with creamy polenta and fried broccoli, hearty dish. tasty but could use a bit more sauce. big portion. 8/10 Kare Kare rib eye steak: really the signature dish, beef cooked perfectly, nice Kare Kare sauce. Must try. 10/10 see you soon :D

Wow. First time having elevated Filipino food in Montreal…read more In true Filipino fashion, we came as a big group and they accommodated us so well. We ordered almost every item on the menu and were so thrilled with the dishes we got. Although all dishes were a modern take on classics, I really enjoyed the experience and felt like I was back home. Vibe of the place is cool and service was great. I wasn't a huge fan of the cocktails (too sweet) but the food easily made up for that. I didn't take pictures of everything but remember that We shared : - Beef sisig - 5/5. This was my favourite of the night. - Adobo beef rib. 5/5 Also just amazing - octopus ... super fresh and tasty with the kalamansi twist - bone marrow arrow caldo... I didn't think I would like this but it was so yummy. 5/5 - pancit - a bit bland 3/5 - cod Laing - this is fish on a Smokey coconut vegetable. It was amazing 5/5!! Will definitely come back!

During the weekday lunch, the place was full and had a steady stream of takeout patrons. We got there early so we managed to snag a table. The kitchen staff double as wait staff so if you don't see anyone greeting you at the door, they're in the kitchen. Don't be shy to ring the bell to signal your presence! We asked the guy who took our order to recommend Filipino faves so he suggested the fried spring rolls called Lumpia Shanghai as an appetizer. Also popular was option H, rice and pork skewer and chicken BBQ and the Bulalo soup. We decided to order the three items to share and it was a perfect portion for lunch. We devoured the 8 spring rolls and asked for more dipping sauce cause it was so good! They are a bit oily but that's to be expected. Great flavor and filling inside. We absolutely loved how flavorful and wonderfully caramelized the pork skewer and chicken leg were. It came with a good portion of rice. You really need to try this plate! We loved the soup and how naturally beefy it tasted and had a good amount of veggies in it. We weren't keen on the two small pieces of corn on cob rounds as they were a bit mushy but otherwise delicious brothy soup. There were also big chunks of beef simmered till tender. I'd love to come back or do takeout next time!
