Come to Montreal every year during the summer months and stay at the Embassy Suites across the highway. We were craving Filipino food so I yelped and found this place, which is across the highway. To our surprise, it was surprisingly good. The decor is modern and up to date. I am used to the buffet, the karoake machine, and the kids hidden in the back. This is not that restaurant. High ceilings, nice sign on the wall. On par with fellow ethnic restaurants.
I ordered the chicken inasal which came with rice and a salad. It was delicious. I was impressed with the salad. Fresh all on top of a banana leaf. My mom ordered palabok which she loved.
We took our relatives here for the second day and they never heard of the place, and they all loved it also. Everybody ordered something, but I ordered the salmon this time, and again delicious. The rice and the home fresh salad on the side again hit the spot. Everybody ordered a little bit of everything. Someone ordered the sisig. I tried it but I thought too spicey or I hit a pepper. But they loved it. Everyone else loved their halo halo, turon, the pork skewers, everything. We had so much food leftover, everyone took something home, and I hear they loved the palabok also.
Third day. Craving for lunch and I had the salmon again. Mom then was craving the palabok in the afternoon, and I got it again. I saw cards there for UberEats.
I am surprised there are not more reviews for this restaurant being that it has been in existence for two years. In the coming summers, I will definitely stop by again the next time I am in Canada / Montreal for some great Filipino food. read more
